For years, our old pool lights had been dead and/ or malfunctioning. The rims were discolored. Justin, a co-owner with his father said they could replace our dead lights with the new LED lights from Pentair. I did not understand how they could pull out the old lights with wiring and all, and yet, they did. Unbelievable. When we turned on the lights for the first time at night, we were in awe. So beautiful as you can see from the pictures. Clearwater Pool and Spa did a magnificent job. They have helped me out when I've had problems. My wife and I were looking for a place to shop and buy parts for our new pool. When we arrived we walked in and it look like the two staff we're helping people. We walked around for about five minutes trying to find our parts which we could not. Unfortunately the staff members were still busy with others and were unable to help us so we left. If you know what you're looking for, this may be a good place to shop but since we did not, and could not get help, we had to go somewhere else. read more

I discovered a leak in the tank and the pump. Clearwater was able to get someone out to me in about a week. I had called others who never showed. Leaks were fixed, the filter serviced. Serviceman was thorough and neat. Everything is working great and water clear again. They will definitely be my go to for pool repair and service from now on. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable. Had to replace an old single speed pump. Went in and spoke with Eddie about the variable speed pumps. Eddie explained everything and got me set up with what I needed. Set a date to install and the installer came out when they said they would and installed everything clean and nice. During the entire process Eddie stayed in touch with me to let me know everything that would be happening. Reminded me of how places used to be back in the day. A++! read more

For the last three years, Clearwater Pools have been my go to pool center and have not led me astray or tried to gouge me through selling of needless pool chemicals or parts for pool service. Justin and his dad diagnosed a problem in my pool pump and had me replace my own parts saving me time, energy and $$$$$. A simple repair that saved me a pool service technician fee and aggravation. So, grad a empty water bottle at your house, fill it with water from your pool and have them analysize your pool and save yourself the monthly pool maintenance fee. Last year I spent $200.00 in pool chemicals and treated my pool according to their recommendations. Not one problem. This year through 8 months $95.00 in pool chemicals and $125.00 in pool repairs. I've used yelp for years and this is my first time reviewing a business, because they deserve it!!! Their knowledge, customer service and ethics are second to none! I've been to 4 other pool supply places in town over the last 8 years of pool ownership and every time I'd go to different places they told me I needed $100-$250 on chemicals, but my pool was never dialed in. The last 6 months of using Clearwater as my go to establishment I've never walked out spending more than $40 and my pool has never looked or felt better. The last straw at the last place I used was when they put $120 in parts into my pool sweep to "fix" it and it still didn't work so they told me I needed a new one. I had heard good things about Clearwater so I brought in my pool sweep, they disassembled it, cleaned bearings, gave me a few free bushings that the last place forgot to put back, ALL AT NO CHARGE because it didn't use any parts except a few bushings that they had lying around and my pool sweep has never worked better (who does anything for free anymore??). I have now even bought stuff there that I know I could get on Amazon for cheaper because they've have earned and deserve my business!! I had to do a double take on John C's review, because it sounded exactly like me. And Jason S, as well. Only difference is, that I have probably been coming here about 10 years now. They are exactly what all these reviews are saying: honest, dependable, helpful, friendly--all that you would want and sure to not get at places like Costco, Home Depot or Leslies. Honest, means they don't sell you chemicals you don't need. They have got me out of every mess I've got my pool water into. I really appreciate Clearwater and I, too, have to drive about 7 miles further (14RT), but it is always worth it. I don't go all this way to save $5. I go for peace of mind!! Oh, and it's real easy to not see it. It's set in, west side of Clovis Ave, and sometimes I still miss it and have to make a U-turn. Maybe their sign could use a flasher!! read more

If you are looking for a pool supply store that is exceptional in every way, you need to go to Clearwater Pool & Spa. I've owned a pool for over 16 years and have been screwed over by several ignorant or unscrupulous pool supply companies / employees. Being sold chemicals I didn't need because of inaccurate water testing and/or getting the wrong part seems to be a pattern with many of these pool supply stores (especially the big chain store). I discovered Clearwater Pool & Spa about 5 years ago and have used them ever since. I live in NW Fresno and Clearwater is in Clovis (26 miles round-trip) but it is so worth the driving time to get my pool situation handled correctly the first time. I drive right past no less than six other pool supply stores but I've learned the hard way that fixing it right the first time gives me more weekend time to relax. Yesterday I had a problem with my navigator pool cleaner. I took it in and Eddie said he could have it repaired in a few hours by installing a new upgrade kit. I inquired about installing it myself (because I lived across town and didn't want to make a second trip). Eddie opened up my pool cleaner in order to make sure the new kit would fix the problem and installed the entire kit in about 20 minutes.
