Not impressed!
1. The vehicle looked to be in good shape, but you could hear a rattling noise in the back and a sound under the hood so it worried me to begin with. Was told would probably be easy to fix and probably an exhaust system problem. Ask if they would check it out and he said no that it would probably be a few hundred dollars and that he could recommend shop to work on it. Unsure why they would not check since it is still on lot to be sold and they have a service department. First clue.
2. Go to talk to your own financial institution! We don't trust dealerships to do people right when it comes to money so we always do our own financing elsewhere. Here is a perfect example why! Lo and behold, when we had our financial institution pull run the paperwork to see if the Jeep was worth it, It wasn't.
Bigger issue: When the dealership listed the vehicle on the deal sheet, it was listed as a specialty package (IT WASN'T). People make sure to do your financing elsewhere so you know your institution is protecting YOU and not the dealership's bottom line! This is why we do this. When the vin was entered our representative found that it did not have any special package added. Whose favor was that in? You know the answer to this!
When I called it to their attention...of course, they don't know how that happened and no they admit it does not have that package on it. Sure....sounds like that just happens... Wonder why that error didn't happen the other way around and make it cheaper? I think we can conclude it wasn't to make the vehicle any cheaper and sure it gained some additional value since it was not worth what they were asking for it.
3. Overpriced! Price thousands over the true value when all was said and done. Really! Imagine that! Go get your own financing elsewhere! Being upside down before driving off the lot does not help you. It helps the dealership. Don't fall for a pretty car as you may be paying for that over priced "pretty" car that you are going to have to pay the repairs on (all while being upside down) on that 3.8 which most Jeepers will tell you is a less desirable motor. Yep, I learned a lot checking before buying and we moved on and don't plan on doing business with this company. Sure they are friendly, but guess what folks....
You have to be in this for YOU! Check everything out and stay true to YOU! Do your leg work! Places don't like it when you do your due diligence.
Moving on and going new! We thought we'd go used, but that is not for us. We need to know what we are getting and we don't feel like we would get a good result if we did this! Pretty much an eye opening experience. Thinking we could see this going nowhere fast. Upside down is not for us and neither is this dealership. read more
