I had a fantastic shopping experience at J.Crew Factory in Brea thanks to Keith!…read more I came in looking for white summer pants for an upcoming vacation and wasn't sure where to start. Keith immediately jumped in to help, bringing me multiple styles and sizes to try on. He was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to talk to. Because of his friendly approach, I felt comfortable trying on items I normally wouldn't have considered. With Keith's help, I ended up building a beautiful summer vacation capsule wardrobe. I also found out both a teacher and healthcare professional, I qualified for an additional 15% discount, which I greatly appreciated. The best part is that this shopping trip inspired me to go home and completely clean out my closet. I donated four large bags of clothing and, with just a few carefully selected pieces from J.Crew Factory (and a few items from Nordstrom Rack and some from my closet), I was able to create 42 summer outfits from only 7 tops and 6 bottoms! Keith's customer service went far beyond helping me find a pair of pants. This brand always gives me major '90s throwback vibes, which I appreciate. The store itself is very clean, items well stocked and well-organized, with plenty of space to browse. There were only a couple other customers inside. That said, the staff were chit-chatting and didn't seem particularly engaged to acknowledge you as you walk by which put a bit of a damper on the experience. (FYI - I like to be left alone when I'm browsing, but a courtesy hello would be nice when you come in). I wandered around for a while but didn't find anything that stood out enough to buy --- the sale wasn't a wow-factor...even with 60% off clearance. Overall, it's nice to have this store here, but my visit felt a little underwhelming. Maybe need to try again for Black Friday!

I came in to Uptown Cheapskate for the first time today to sell some of my clothes, shoes, and purses. I brought my items in a trash bag and they said they don't accept items in trash bags so next time use a reusable bag. I wasn't told on the phone and didn't see this on the website. They told me to fold my clothes nicely into the laundry basket. I put my items in a laundry basket they had behind the counter. They gave me a 10% off coupon for any purchase I made today in store. I walked around the store while I waited for them to price my items. I was called over for the payout of my items and they bought 5 items out of a large laundry basket size of items I brought in. I'm disappointed because I had namebrand items new with tags and gently used namebrand items that they did not buy, I brought mostly summer items! I was frustrated because a lot of the items in the store were way more beat up than my items. They threw all my clothes into the basket all a mess! I was told to go to the register to pay for the shoes I found, and I waited a couple minutes while making eye contact with an associate at the purse counter, who continued to ignore me as I was waiting to checkout. He finally came over and charged me out and I had the coupon next to the shoes and after being charged out I asked if he use the coupon and he said no, I didn't see it, it's too late. You can use it next time. I went to gather my items to take out to the car and I did use one of their laundry baskets to take all the items they wouldn't take back to my car and the door sensor went off. I went back to the sell item counter and the associate told me he forgot to tell me that there was a security tag on the basket. The employees were very chatty with each other and I feel like the customer service was neglected heavily for my experience. 2 stars because I did find a pair of shoes but I would give a 1 star for customer service.

In about an hour, I pulled around 18 pieces to try on and found several great additions to my summer wardrobe while staying within my budget. The only frustration was that many items in the XS section were mixed with M, L, and other sizes, making it a little harder to shop efficiently. The associates at the register were friendly and professional, and they listened when I shared feedback about the loud music in the fitting rooms. Overall, I'm glad I finally found a shopping method that works for me. What used to feel intimidating now feels manageable, and I left with some wonderful pieces for my summer wardrobe.

Very disappointing online pickup experience…read more I went to the Brea Nordstrom Rack on Sunday, August 9 around 1:30 p.m. to pick up an online order. As you walked in, there are two signs advertising "Buy online for fast and easy pickups." Unfortunately, my experience was anything but fast or easy. I asked a cashier where to go for online pickup, and she directed me to a checkout line that extended all the way to the back of the store and appeared to have at least 75 people waiting, most of whom were making regular in-store purchases. I got in line, but remembered that on previous visits there had been an employee specifically handling online pickups. I decided to ask another cashier if someone was handling online orders. She was very kind and understanding and said she would ask the manager, Cynthia. I explained that I was frustrated about having to wait in such a long line just to pick up an order I had already purchased online. I was told I would still need to wait in line because Cynthia would go through the queue and process online orders in order. I said that was completely fine and I returned to the line. I was the second person in line who was there solely for an online pickup. Cynthia left to the back of the store to retrieve our orders. About 10 minutes later, I noticed that she had returned to the register assisting customers in line, yet had both of our online orders sitting in a basket behind her. This is where the experience became especially frustrating. Cynthia walked right past us on her way back to the registers but left us standing in the long checkout line, even though she had already retrieved our orders. I eventually had to ask another employee to get my order so I could leave. Only then did Cynthia take the other customer's order to her, after that customer had also been left waiting in line. I completely understand that stores get busy and employees have a lot to manage. What I don't understand is why customers who had already paid for their orders online were left standing in a huge checkout line when our orders had already been retrieved and were literally sitting behind the register. The cashier who initially helped me was kind and professional, and I appreciate her trying to help. My frustration is specifically with how the manager handled the situation. If Nordstrom Rack advertises "fast and easy pickups," I think customers should reasonably expect an online pickup to be handled differently from a regular purchase checkout. This was neither fast nor easy, and the way the manager handled it made the situation much more frustrating than it needed to be.
