For years, I found Nordstrom Rack overwhelming because of its size and selection. This time, I went in with a strategy: I focused only on tops and shopped only the XS section, working my way through one rack at a time. In about an hour, I pulled around 18 pieces to try on and found several great additions to my summer wardrobe while staying within my budget. The only frustration was that many items in the XS section were mixed with M, L, and other sizes, making it a little harder to shop efficiently. The associates at the register were friendly and professional, and they listened when I shared feedback about the loud music in the fitting rooms. A decent Nordstrom Rack location in the area. They have a pretty good stock of things here at decent prices. I was looking more for shoes at my recent visit, but didn't find a very good variety of suitable work shoes. For some reason, this shop has a lot of athletic shoes...like almost two aisles of them. So, at least I know where to come to for sneakers. Maybe it's just the season right now, but they didn't seem to have the full variety stock of things. Recently visited to get shoes for a trip, specifically dressy sandals/ heels for church. I came across a few choices and picked one pair. Got to the register and saw they sold blueberry Nerds gummies. I bought that as well to take on my trip as I saw on TikTok that this was a popular candy from America that kids in other countries like. Got to the register and the cashier said these were the best candies. I asked why and he said one day his co-workers recommended it and he tried it and it was so good. He even wanted to get a bag after I purchased mine. I tried it and I agree, the blueberry Nerd gummies are better than the red ones and I don't even like gummies or candy like that. The shoes I purchased were nice and a tan color and cost around $45. I did go to Ross down the way and found a better pair of shoes for much cheaper, so I'd probably go to the Ross first before coming here for shoes. Not saying Ross has a bigger or better selection, it just so happened I found the perfect pair when I walked in. I'm going to be honest here. Sometimes we shop when we are low on funds. Sometimes, times is tough, but maybe we need to buy a gift. Let's be real with ourselves--most of us are not part of the 1%. That interlude matters because I was at the register with my mom when her card declined. She was trying to make a payment and then, immediately after, use her card to buy our merch. Let me just say--it was a timely transaction and very public. However, our cashier was the opposite of judgmental. She was kind. Honestly, truly kind. [Amy, are you a Christian?] My mom was shaking, embarrassed, and trying to just get out of there. I stayed calm, coaching her through it and explaining that it was fine. Amy kept apologizing, saying sorry, and going above and beyond to smooth out the chaos. This is that part of humanity you hardly get to see. Really like this Nordstrom Rack for many reasons. Staff are reasonably friendly, you can now do Nordy returns here, and the men's shoes section is pretty untapped when it comes to availability of dress and athletic shoes. We've come here many times for these reasons and getting in and out of here is pretty easy. Do wish there was more selection at the men's formalware section (and men's clothing in general) but otherwise you can mostly find what you need here. read more

Parking is easy in the plaza and I love the variety of brands and items here. The store is generally neat and clean but shopping here during the holidays can be very difficult. Things are all over the place and in disarray. I found this cute beanie/scarf set but it was missing the beanie and the worker said they couldn't sell it to me like that. The lines are also SO long though they move relatively quickly. I had an order pickup and after standing in the super long checkout line, was told to walk to the left side for the pickup. I think there needs to be a better system with a separate returns/pickup kiosk- and I know they used to have that before, so not sure why they got rid of it. For the past couple of months I've been doing an overhaul of my wardrobe with the help of my new girlfriend. We took care of the important staples at the high priced stores (dinner jacket, linen shirts, pants) and came here to fill out the remaining items. Plenty of selection and sizes here. In looking for shorts, I'm a size 33 and that has been a challenge to find. Here I found several options and loaded up with three pairs of Tommy Bahama shorts, three shirts including one from Michael Kors and a belt, all for less than the dinner jacket I bought at Nordstrom. The store and dressing rooms were a bit messy, but being it was a Sunday afternoon, I expect that it was just the result of a busy weekend. Checkout went quickly and was friendly. Both my wife and I are not fond of shopping in department stores. We ended up at Nordstrom Rack because we were with the relatives, and they wanted to go here. We spent over 2 hours here. Well, half the time I spent exploring the strip plaza by walking around the area. For the 1 hour or so that I was inside Nordstrom Rack, I noted a couple of things. They have a clean large store. Merchandise was organized well and the selection was immense. Prices seemed reasonable. Staff was alright. The family did not leave empty handed. I had one of the most insulting experiences ever at this store. I paid for my item and left, only to be loudly called back by the cashier and other customers as if I were a thief. I've read a few reviews of this location for customers complaining about staff denying their returns because staff tried telling these customers that the items they were returning looked "used". This confuses me because I went to buy new pair of walking shoes there today and as I was checking out, I noticed that they were visibly dirty from the bottom as if someone had bought them, wore them outside, and then returned them. I really liked the shoes and I was up next to pay. When I walked up to the cashier I simply asked if they would give me some sort of discount because they were dirty from the bottom and the response I got was "no...this is already a discounted store." Emphasis on the discounted. She looked and sounded annoyed at the fact that I even asked. So I said okay and continued with my purchase. She did ask me to download the app so I can get $5, but I didn't do it because I didn't have good reception at the store. I was fine with her not giving me the $5 since her tone still sounded off even as she was offering. I just felt uncomfortable thereafter and wanted to get the transaction done but she gave me the $5 anyway. I also asked her if she needed my number (I had a $10 note that I anticipated using) and she said no and continued to finish my transaction. She seemed just as done with the situation as I was. I shop here a lot because it's the closest Nordstrom Rack to me and in general staff hasn't been very nice. I get that many places are understaffed and as a result people might not be in a good mood. However, not going out of your way to be nice to customers is one thing, it's another thing to just be mean. Honestly, if she said something like "you know what we can't discount items but let me see if we can find another pair in your size"...that would have worked fine and it wouldn't have made me feel like crap for shopping at an "already discounted" store. I was very amazed with the customer service I experienced today as it was very poor. I found a white knitted turtle neck at the Nordstrom Rack and saw very noticeable foundation/makeup stains (I was not wearing makeup today) around the neck area. When going to purchase I asked if I could receive a discount since there was only one in stock online and it's a 50/50 if I would receive it or not and they stated they would not be able to remove the stain themselves (as they offered at first). Khalida's customer service was terrible as she was very rude and sarcastic with the comments she made such as "well it's not like we check every shirt on the rack" and "oh well, sorry" with a stern face. I used to love coming here and ordering online then picking up in person. But this time around, the online order pick up line was closed so they made me wait in the longest line ever when I already purchased my clothes online. What's the whole point of online ordering when I still have to wait in the long regular line. My clothes were literally right behind the counter. I get being understaffed, but that line should be open if customers are coming in for online ordering all day. She said I was confused on what I was doing with the returns when I had my receipt on my phone. No I'm not confused . I buy a lot of items on line and sometimes they don't work out need to return. He asked me whether I brought hangers and I said no.
