Came again tonight up on rooftop, waitress forgot about our friend's beer, is strolling around and had to remind her after waiting 15 min when we already had the other drinks. Never came to check on us or refill anything. Had to go up to pay because she never came back after almost an hour. Oh well. Like I said, potential. So very false advertising at this place. I love the vibe and the look of this place but the food menus say 11am - close (this is a lie) they stop serving lunch at 4pm and then serve no food until 5pm (not posted anywhere of this hour break) then when going to order dinner they didn't have many of the items and asked me to change my order after I had already paid for a higher priced item that they did not have available (the lady taking our order even went to check with the kitchen and told me yes they do have the item, then came back and found me to tell me that they actually didn't have the item........) no refund or anything offered for them inconvenience. I definitely think I would come back here just to work on my computer and have a cup of coffee (also only have computer outlets from the 2nd floor down (limited on second floor)). read more

Okay I only been here it once so my opinion is less credible than the average yelper. But anyways, I got the iced chai tea latte, small size. It was the worst iced chai tea latte hands down. The atmosphere is probably the best part. It's huge semi industrial tons of plants, definitely not crowded, even with so many people. They have a coworker Ming space, indoor plants, exposed coffee roaster, efficient nice staff. Living wood table. Great coffee nitro, lattes, espresso, pour over all in house, fast Internet, good looking breakfast food and pastries. Wish we had more places like this. read more

The coffee is exceptional. Haven't tried the food but omg it looks incredible. The owners clearly took the time and effort to make every square inch of this place have a vibe. Pretty sure for the last decade Chico entrepreneurs have been asking for a chic coworking space and Stoble is finally here. I can't wait to work from their indoor space and rooftop lounge when it's safe to do so. How has it taken this long to get a rooftop space downtown?! This place is so beautiful and the coffee is bomb. I also loved the toast with ricotta cheese and pear jam. Would definitely recommend.

Visited the first time with a friend who is also alumni from Chico State. The environment is a great blend of a place to gather, study or work. The coffee has an earthy taste and was very satisfying. I had the yogurt and granola and the addition of fresh herbs with the local fruit was a unique blend of flavors. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and the bread was amazing! Tons of different types of spaces and seating to chill depending on your mood. This will become a go to destination! read more

I was there for a work meeting on 9/28. I'll start by saying that they don't serve a lot of food and what they do have is not really my type. I also don't drink coffee or tea. I was really disappointed that they don't have any soda, but I drink a lot of water so I stuck with that. I was going to try their Grilled Cheese sandwich, because the menu I found online at a third party source before we went (since their website doesn't have a menu) indicated cheddar was one of the cheeses. I figured I could have them skip the other three cheeses and just use cheddar. When we went to place my order after arriving, we were told that they ONLY had goat cheese (which I HATE). We asked if we could just get some bread so I'd have something to eat and they said they don't sell bread. So, I attended our lunch work meeting for 2.5 hours having just water. What fun. read more

Had gotten their amazing delivery prior to fully opening so had high expectations but they were all blown away! The space itself is absolutely stunning (can't wait to study there when it's safe)! We got an oat milk latte, a caramel latte, and the morning bun and it was all incredible, the staff was also amazing can't wait to come back and try some of the other tasty offerings! We ordered coffees and breakfast. The food ( Bread pudding French toast ) was fine, not exceptional. We had a recommendation to have their coffee, so I was surprised that it was not served hot enough to add cream. The barrista did offer to add hot water or to heat up some cream. I would have preferred to settle in at the table and not have to get up to try and get the hot coffee I expected in the first place. read more

It was my first time coming here and i felt off. There are very limited plug stations for your laptops for charging. And when i received my coffee the lid popped up right away and i spilled my coffee all over the stairs. I went to staff to ask for a towel so that i can clean up my spill and one of the baristas gave me the dirtiest look and handed me a small towel. I have told her that i tried to clean up the majority of the mess and that a mop may be needed just to make sure the stickiness was gone and she than again gave me horrible attitude. the attitude was absolutely not necessary. I am continuously underwhelmed by Stoble. Since opening, I've noticed the quality of coffee, food, and clean atmosphere declining. The service is disappointing at every visit now. The second your interaction (that is completely devoid of eye contact, "thank you", or any courtesy) is over they return to scrolling on their cell phones right at the register. Serious work needs to be done on customer service. With coffee quality here, it's always dependent on the barista of the day. Inconsistent. Food- don't bother. The appeal of being the "coolest" place in town can't sustain this place forever- quality lasts! read more

The gloss has sort of worn off this place. Prices are exhorbitant for the quality. The breakfast items are a bit strange and bland, and of course they were out of an ingredient that was advertised so we had to re order. Service is curt, not what would be expected for the prices they charge. Communication between staff is not there. Order buzzed but then I was told there are 7 orders in front of you by the same employee that took my order at the register. They need more seating at busy times and to ensure tables are getting cleaned. There should be one roving employee wiping tables and at these prices busing tables too. Very nice building an interior, they just need to match the service, food, and feel to the the standard of excellence in the design and architecture. read more

I really wanted to like this place, as the interior looks beautiful but I was sadly disappointed. I got a latte and the bread pudding. Not only did I wait at least an hour, my coffee was burnt and unsweetened. The bread pudding was dry and rock hard. They put some unsweetened/bitter runny cream on it (which I think was supposed to be whipped cream.) I threw everything away by the time I got home because it was all inedible. This place is so unbelievably nostalgic for me because it's just like the cool coffee places in Portland that I miss so, so much. People just drinking good coffee and doing stuff on their computers. I took a conference call here and did some work on my laptop, drank my coffee, and not a single person seemed bothered that I was talking (I was in the basement trying to stay quiet). Great coffee, excessively hipster atmosphere, food was great if you are interested in throwing it in the trash after taking a picture of it for Instagram. Was not welcomed or thanked for dining when leaving. When the food came up an employee was kind enough to look up from their phone to direct me to my slop like the good little pig I am. I came in for food at 3:45. The people at the counter saw me and would not acknowledge me. When it turned 4:00, they came to take my order. When I tried to order food, the bearded guy said the kitchen closed at 4:00 and then laughed at me. I would understand if I came in at 3:55 or at 4:00, but the fact that I was ignored until their kitchen was closed was very unprofessional of them. read more

This place could be better. Nice interior with ample seating. Fresh menu options. But they have no shame in taking your money, then rushing you out before you can even sit down to eat. We placed our order 25 min before closing, so we were already aware that it was going to be a quick bite. But while we waited for the kitchen to fulfill our order, we were warned that they were closing soon. When we finally received our order, we were told AGAIN they were closing. So we ate as fast as we could. At the stroke of 2pm, they started blasting that cliche bar song "Closing Time," as if it wasn't already obvious that they were closing and we needed to get out. Hey, I get it. People want to clock out and go home. But we heard you the first time. And the excessive reminders just made us feel unwelcome the minute our money was put into the register. Unfortunately, the food wasn't great either. My $16 chicken salad was bland and small for the price. The sliced chicken still had its soggy, cold skin on it -- no one wants to eat that. Stoble is a much needed updated version of a coffee house. Welcome to 2021. Work stations, coffee roasting, upscale simple decor and an amazing roof top patio to catch the charm of Chico. i am not a coffee snob. i'll drink any coffee! but if i'm going to drink bad coffee, i'd rather pay gas station prices than stoble prices. this place is overpriced in general, and chico really did not need a new coffee shop when they opened. the decor is sterile and fancy. i guess this is a place for the tech industry transplants escaping SF that city council wants to move here and displace the current residents. i don't support it. read more

This is one of the coolest coffee shops I've seen! It's in a massive building with a ton of cool coffee and coffee-like options. There's a ton of comfy space to study, read, and relax. They had a lot of good food options too that I wish I had gotten a chance to try. Will definitely be back next time we're back in Chico. read more

Great staff! Welcoming atmosphere and interior design that will leave you speechless! Oh and their coffee is great too! My husband and I use their beans daily but occasionally like to pop over for an espresso drink or goodies from their kitchen!
