This was an awesome little experience! The staff was incredibly well informed on each kitty in the cafe and had tons of information for any questions asked. The staff was also just very nice in general! The kittys were all pretty playful or just cute as could be taking naps all over. There's lots of spots for patrons to sit and tons of cat trees for the kitties to climb. There's also tons of enrichment toys to use to play with them & even some children's books to read (which is super cool if you bring little kids). Refreshments were awesome as well! Absolutely a spot I would recommend to check out if you're in Chico. I'd say it's also a great place for a first date or even just a quiet spot for some relaxation with these sweet fur balls! Definitely a great place for older kids and adults!

Very very sweet cats and kind staff. Hung out mostly with Parker, he was a a very chill dude who just really likes to be pet and get scratches. Also hung out with April. Very talkative and cute! Someone give these babies a home

I brought my 90 year old grandmother here for a surprise and she was over the moon! The cats were well socialized and cuddly, the staff was unbelievably kind and accommodating, the location was cute and clean, and the hot chocolate was tasty! I would HIGHLY recommend this cafe for anyone who wants a pick me up or is ready to adopt their new best friends (now, you have to get two as cats are always better in pairs ;)). We will be back!

I HIGHLY recommended the Chico Cat Cafe!!! It's extremely clean and welcoming, the cats are so cute and fun to watch and cuddle with, and the staff is so friendly. They offer complimentary snacks, coffee, and beverages, cat ears, and stickers. The cats are well taken care of and have a nice living space. Would definitely recommend supporting this business (you get great cat cuddles and it's for a good cause!)

I went there for my birthday and the staff was super friendly. They took time to introduce me to the cats and show me where the treats were. The cats are all very loving with a range of personalities. My kid loved playing with the cats. The facility is clean and very cutely decorated. It was a very nice way to spend my birthday. I would highly recommend a visit.

We loved our morning at the cat cafe! The admission price was very affordable and well worth it. The place is cozy, clean, and created perfectly for human-cat interactions. The husband-wife team working were incredibly helpful and we enjoyed our conversations with each of them. The hot chocolate and snacks were a nice touch, though of course the star of the show were the cats! We will be back!

What a thoughtful, caring setup to pair future cat lovers with their feline companions. I'm so pleased to see how much attention, these adorable rescues get, and the effort put into finding them homes. Even if you enjoy cats, yet aren't ready (or can't) adopt one, this is a great place to visit and interact with them. Check it out, Chico!

Almost adopted this cutie Robyn! The owners are definitely the perfect people to go to if you have any questions regarding adopting a cat.

Very fun and Very welcoming environment! The owner, John was very nice! My friend and I had a wonderful time. And i think this place is so important! They have a range of beautiful cats who are all super sweet and welcoming. We were able to see their personalities because they were in such a comfortable environment for them. I highly recommend to visit this place if you ever have a free day!! They also have fun events I recommend taking a look at everything they have to offer. This is a great way to adopt a cat if you were looking to.

AMAZINGGGG extremely nice and relaxing little place to come hang out with the cutest most adorable kitties!!!! They have kittens and adult cats all for adoption! Theres also a bio book there with little info about all the cats and their rescue stories! There's drip coffee, sodas, snacks, and some drinks for anyone 21+! Everyone who worked there was super friendly! Prices are about $10 for an hour for students and you reserve online! I loved it so much I definitely plan to come more often

The adoption fee was $295 and included up-to-date vaccinations and neuter. I adopted a Chiweenie dog from them, and I was very impressed with how fast he adjusted to us. He immediately opened up to me and showed me lots of affection within hours - and still shows me so much love to this day. He was very well mannered and let us know he needed to go potty outside. They also let us know that our dog was very motivated by food, which we expected and were prepared for as our previous Chiweenie was similar. It was very clear to us that Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue put a lot of time, care, and effort into our dog. That is no small feat by any means, and by volunteers, no less. Adoption fees do vary among animals, but I feel the value was well worthwhile due to the quality we have seen of our dog. The staff were friendly, communicative, and went beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend adopting from Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue. They made the adoption process so easy, and we are so in love with our dog.

We found Serenity Springs Labradoodles through the various search engines and quickly knew we found the right labradoodle breeder when we visited the website and saw Jo's work with Multiple Myeloma Cancer Research- something that's very dear to our hearts. Once we decided on Serenity Springs, Jo was readily available to answer any and all questions throughout the entire process. Start to finish and after! Absolutely any time we had a question of who/what/when/how with our new puppy, Fozzie, she has been there every step of the way! Fozzie is now 9 months old and is such an integral part of our lives I cannot even begin to describe. Serenity Springs Labradoodles is not a puppy mill. The parents are happy and members of a family; the puppies are cared for (and on cam!) Haha! The first 8 weeks are spent in Jo and Ron's own home. The puppies get their first shots before you pick them up, and they come with factual, detailed genetic testing from a lineage of Labradoodles! Folks, if you're serious about getting a new addition to your family and want to deal with a reputable, knowledgeable, and caring breeder, I wholeheartedly recommend Serenity Springs Labradoodles!

She goes above and beyond to ensure the dogs are well cared for and that her clients feel prepared for their new puppy. By the time you take your puppy home they are already so well adjusted! All of her dogs have such a sweet and playful demeanor and you can tell it's because of Jo's top notch love and care for them. During the process of waiting to bring your puppy home, Jo is incredibly responsive whenever you have a question, big or small, and has so much knowledge on the breed and best practices for raising them and taking good care of them. She checks in regularly sharing updates on how the puppies are doing, tips to prepare you for your new family member and sends lots and lots of pictures of your pup. She also sets up a puppy cam so you can watch your pup play all day. She has an incredible set up for them to play and by the time you get them they are practically potty trained and know how to get through the doggy door. Nothing about working with Jo is transactional -- she is so personal and truly cares about the dogs' health and well-being above all. I would recommend Jo to anyone interested in getting an amazing labradoodle! Ours has only been home for a few days but she has been so well behaved is adjusting great. We keep falling more and more in love with her and can just tell she will be the best companion ever!

Dachshund Rescue of Northern California

I was idly surfing the Web a couple of years back, looking at dachshund photos, when I came across…read morea picture of a senior doxie with one of the sweetest faces I'd ever seen. I wasn't looking for another dog -- my husband and I already had three at home that we got from a breeder -- but I knew this dog, Grampy, was meant to be mine. And thus began our relationship with Dachshund Rescue of Northern California, who showed us the joy of bringing an older rescued dog into our lives and the many rewards that rescue brings. After completing an extremely detailed application and going through DRNC's thorough vetting process, they decided we would provide a good home for Grampy. His foster mother -- who herself has become an adopted daughter to us -- brought him over, and he slid effortlessly into our pack and our lives. We enjoyed him thoroughly, but tragically, after less than a year, Grampy developed a cardiac condition that took him from us much too soon. A week or so after Grampy died, though, DRNC called apologetically to ask if there was any chance we'd be interested in another dog; they had an urgent situation with a dog named Danny, who needed a home ASAP. So Danny, another senior, came to live with us. And finally, we took in a foster dog named Murphy, who lives with us now. I swear we meant to find him another home, but he's such a love we ended up keeping him. Through all of this we've gotten to know Monti and Robin, who run DRNC, quite well. They work tirelessly to save unwanted dachshunds, or dachshunds whose owners have died, or lost and unclaimed dachshunds, pulling them from animal control facilities, placing them with their network of foster families, and ultimately finding them permanent homes. They have a deep love for this exceptional breed and are committed to finding a loving home for every dog that passes through their rescue. They know this breed and are a wealth of information on health, diet, and temperament issues. They have a working relationship with a wonderful vet in the Chico/Paradise area and do everything they can to make sure the dogs they place are as healthy as possible. My husband and I are so grateful that my Web surfing that day brought these women into our lives, and we thank them when we can by providing transport, pulling dogs from animal control or owners who can't keep them, and making small monetary donations as we are able. There isn't anything we wouldn't do for DRNC, because there isn't anything DRNC wouldn't do for the countless dachshunds out there who need their help. I am happy to recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation!

After having had many wonderful dachshunds in my life previous to my current pet, I can attest to the fact my last adoption thru Monti is the best ever. Kudos and highest compliments go to this rescue group.
