I was so excited to bring my kids to StockCalifornia, but unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. From the moment we walked in, my family and I felt ignored and unwelcome. The employee at the register appeared irritated and uninterested in helping us. Shortly after we entered, she went into the back room and did not return until we were ready to check out. We then had to wait several minutes for her to come back to the register. There was no greeting, no offer of assistance, and when we asked questions, the responses were short and dismissive. The overall atmosphere made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout our visit. As a family of color, the experience left us questioning whether we were being treated differently. Clean store, friendly staff, no one followed me or bothered me while I took my time to look around. Prices weren't too bad overall, there were some things that were expensive but others were marked down to a reasonable price. I saw a huge aircraft carrier play set that was marked down to 29.99 seems fair. There were some Lego sets that were expensive but that's to be expected. I'll be coming back here again. read more

I am a Hot Wheels collector. I discovered this store by accident when hanging out with my friend. I noticed some toys from the windows. I decided to visit the store the next day. When I entered I was instantly greeted by an employee. Inside the store you will find a great selection of toys. I feel like there is something for anyone inside this store. Lego's? They got it. Dolls? They got it. Luckily for me there was a hot wheels section. There is plenty of cars to choose from. I would definitely buy from there again. read more

First off, the employees wear their masks under their noses. There's an assortment of toys - but one positive note is that a lot of the toys are in Armenian language, and if you're an Armenian parent finding toys for your kids in your language is probably a big blessing - so kudos to them for that. BUT. I will never set foot in this store again. I went to get a razor scooter for my daughter. Some of them were priced insanely high, but then, some razor scooters are insanely expensive, so...whatever. I found a model just right for my daughter, and it had a price tag at a reasonable, albeit hefty price; $85.99. I took it to the front of the store, and the lady behind the counter glared at me, and said "Price wrong." She then faffed around the store for ten minutes, called someone on FaceTime, looked things up on the internet, all leaving me just standing there waiting. I hoped that meant it was *cheaper* in which case it would be worth the wait. All this while there were very overt cameras in the store that would occasionally turn floodlights on, pointed directly at me. It was uncomfortable and annoying. But after all that time she just said, "Actual price is $125." So no, heeeeeell no, I am not going to get the price jacked up on me by 40 after waiting forever for rude service from a woman not wearing her mask properly. I just walked out. I tried to articulate something, but my brain just couldn't even, so I didn't say anything. As I was getting into my car, a burly guy emerged from the store and shouted something in an aggressive tone at me in Armenian. (I don't speak Armenian, so I'm not sure what it was.) When I got home, I looked up the EXACT SAME scooter on Amazon, and guess how much it was? $85.99. I tried like heck to spend my money in independently owned, local stores...but rude service, mysterious price-jacking on the spot, and threatening shouts have convinced me that Stock California is not worthy of supporting. read more

This store is near my home so I wanted my son to pick a toy from a toy store (like the real experience). We got a package of two cars for $30 and one of them broke in 45 minutes after we got home (he hasn't played with the other one yet). I get it, most toys are made cheaply but they should be sold in a dollar store or the price tag should be $5. I didn't want to make him sad and tell him this looks like junk but 45 minutes of play is not worth $30. If you want quality toys, buy them online or find expensive/cool toy stores. If you are ok with junk, go to the dollar store because the quality is the same and worth the price. You are welcome :) read more

My son was excited to come here. As soon as we got out of the car, I noticed someone shopping without a mask on. My son was disappointed, so I figured we go in an stay away from the shopper. When we got to the front door, the two woman working at the counter also were maskless. We went back to the car and spent our money at Target. I'd love to support small business instead, but this particular establishment does not care about the health of the public. They have been reported to the state which will hopefully fine and investigate and we will not be returning. I wouldn't even trust delivery or curbside pickup after what I saw. read more

I gotta say, this is probably the best Toy store in Glendale. They have something for everyone. As an Airsoft collector and a hotwheels collector, I love coming here. The prices on the cars are high but sometimes they have things you can't find anywhere else. One of the employees went and bought be a whole box of new hotwheels for me so I can find the one I want. read more

This store was the most bizarre and creepy place I have ever ben to. From the instant we walked in one of the employees followed us (like 2 feet away) smothering us. Would not let my daughter or granddaughter pick up or touch anything. I seriously felt like we were going to be lured off down some secret passage way. When we were checking out (felt like i had to get a little toy so granddaughter was not disappointed) i asked the lady why she kept following us and would not let us look at anything. Placed order on the 6th paid for it to be here in 3 days been waiting all day n nothing. Check the tracking and it says it has been delivered in or at mailbox at their address in Glendale, CA. Checked my shipping address to make sure I put it correct and I did. So I called and customer care guy started yelling at me to contact the USPS its their problem now not stockcalifornia's problem he says cause I paid for the item not for shipping when I fact I paid just as much for the shipping as I had paid for the item the shipping was only $2 cheaper then the item I ordered. I then asked to speak with supervisor and he puts hangs up. I call back the same guy answers I ask to speak to supervisor again amd he puts me on hold a few minutes layer he comes back on the phone just this time trying to make his college sound different but his voice was very distinct with an accent amd it was so obvious it was the same guy who originally answered my call just making his voice a little deeper not much at all it was obvious it had been the same person I been speaking with. Very very rude disrespectful and very unprofessional. I will never order any thing again. Item has not arrived and tracking says it was delivered to their mailbox. One of the best Toy Store I have ever seen. They have a lot of staff , action figures , barbies , board games, Melisa &. Doug , etc. A lot of choices from 0+ ages. Got shocked when entered the store, because it gives you mood of children. Nice store ! Will be back for sure!! read more

wow if i coulg give 0 * i would. website says fast ship great communication. ordered an item on friday, website says they don't ship sat/sun, sure mom and pop store no problem. monday get notice item has shipped, USPS never gets item then nothing since. i emailed on thursday AM to ask whats going on, still no response. Friday get an email order cancelled. no explanation what so ever. all they had to do was tell me what happened. they hide their phone number on their website, had to find it through google, called, no answer, had to keep hitting 0 to retransfer to the operator 5 times before they finally got i wasn't going to just leave a voice mail. explains to me what happened how item was damaged and not in stock. once again as i said thats all they had to say in the email, would have been no harm no foul things happen. but to claim they offer to keep you in the loop if there are any issues on their website certainly didn't happen here. i feel bad these big places come in and destroy mom and pop shops but service like this is exactly why that happens. obviously per the other review i'm not the only one to experience this as well. read more
