Wait room was small and every chair was filled. Took about 30 minutes to be called into one of the exam rooms. Another 15 minutes before the doctor came in. Dr. Thomas D Nelson is one Cool doctor! He immediately made me feel at ease. He took his time to answer all my questions and concerns. It was worth the wait. Been feeling much better since he took care of my foot issues. They will not answer their phone ever or call you back if you leave a voicemail. When you call them and they do not answer (which is every time) they'll send you an automated text saying that you can text them at that number, if you do, they will also not respond to that either. Or if they do manage to send a text back it'll be a new person every time, they'll ask your name and date of birth and then stop responding so you can start that whole process another time again. I went in a month ago for an ankle appointment. I got an MRI referral and a prescription and they had not sent out either two weeks later. I finally went in in person to ask them to do it, they never sent the MRI referral even though he said he did when I was there and the prescription they sent out wasn't even anything close to what the doctor and I discussed in my appointment. I talked to another person another week later and they said they sent out the MRI referral at that time again, still have not. So all around terrible experience. It's been 4 weeks now and I've still not gotten either from them. The only way to get anything from this place is to physically walk in and ask them to do what you need done in person, even then it's questionable.

They also take Medicare. My only complaint is their phone system. If you call the office, you always have to leave a voice mail. When someone finally calls back, they are obviously calling from home. I've heard babies crying and other non-office noises in the background. And the employee calling does not understand English very well. Its very frustrating. I'd rather speak to AI. Parking was a huge hassle. Very few available spots at any time of day. I hope the other office is better situated.

Overall Dr seemed to have a diagnosis before even examining my foot. They also insisted to get…read more"their own X Rays" rather than get the ones the podiatrist had already taken. A 10 minute visit is billed over $800 (maybe because they are tied to UCLA they get away with much higher billing and reimbursement rates). I constantly complained I felt the issue in my foot potentially from previous injury, and a car accident. He was fixated on it being plantar fasciitis... after getting a MRI $2600 plus, all he focused on we looking at the image & he said it confirmed this diagnosis, & treatment options. I asked about my large toe joint & he said it wasn't included in the MRI & if I needed it examined, I needed to make another appointment to be worked up for that as a separate issue!? Talk about money hungry!? Just bill for an intermediate or advanced exam, since I am already here!? I asked for a copy of the MRI, when I read it, it showed a fractured bone which he didn't even address!!! I sent it to my primary care who said I should have been placed in a "boot" but mind you it is now 2 months later. At no time was my MRI scan reviewed much less in its completeness!
