The handful of times I've been to Stockman's have all were pretty enjoyable. The last time though it seems the bartender thought my friends and I were dumb just because we are young women. Jokes on him we were all completely sober when we ordered and I remember tipping 1.50 on an $11 tab yet that's not what I got charged. Check your bank charges here folks. Started at this bar at 21. Parked Harley, Triumph, BSA and any other machines I happen to own over the decades. I don't visit during "busy" hours and don't talk politics or any other heavy issues. Did one- on - one - business and don't talk to the bar keep or any other customers. Sit on a stool on the far left of the door. Deep thoughts and longer memories keep the "buzz" ringer on an even keel. The only draw back these days are the stupid screens with sports....what am I, a golden retriever who chases any color/shape ball? Music these day? I rather listen to a demolition project than the three-chord drek these prancing pink ponies howl. Our families brick is right down the street crossing. They are all gone now...but not forgotten. What's the deal with Stockman Club you were wondering? Well, I assume you were otherwise you wouldn't be researching it on Yelp. I'll give you some tips on what you can expet to find. It's old, dark, a little worn inside, and has a really small outdated men's restroom. Sorry, I didn't check out the woman's restroom, so I can't give you much help there. There's a couple pool tables, a dart board, some booth seating, and a cool retro jukebox. They serve a variety of beer, wine, and cocktails at reasonable prices. All the ingredients you need for a great dive bar. The bar itself is big, old, and decorated with memorbilia, like beer signs, golf clubs, and baseball caps. The mirror behind the bar makes the space seem larger, which is helps because it get a little cramped in there on busy nights. There alsways seems to be something going on when I stop at this bar. Nothing major concerts, but they decorate for the holidays, have games on the TV, and there usually seems to be a group of boisterous drinkers hanging around. All in good fun! The bartenders are friendly in my experience, and so is the crowd. It tends to fill up with older locals during the day, but attracts a lot of younger people on Friday and Saturday nights. It's one of the better dive bars around, and a fun place to kick back with a cold one. read more

I've been to some other bars in the area of fair oaks and Citrus Heights and Stockman is the only place I actually enjoy going to. Whenever I go it's usually a Sunday or Monday and I'll see either Cooper or Tommy. Can we talk about how awesome the ppl that work here are? We strolled in and were met with a big smile from Rebekah! Even though it was our first time here, she was so friendly and made us feel at home. Great conversation and laughs and we made sure we closed out with her as her shift ended. Def will be coming back to say "hi!" Coop took over as her shift was ending and he made sure to connect with us before she left. I noticed that - even though this is clearly a quintessential "dive bar," it is exceptionally clean. (I'm admittedly weird. In dive bars - which we love BTW - I look at the decor to see how much dust, grease, etc has built up on things over the years and years. I'm not a clean-freak, but I do look at details like that bc it clearly tells me the level of care a place has.) Let me tell you... this place was CLEAN. I mentioned it to Coop and he told me about all the hard work on cleaning and improvements the Owner did (himself!) during COVID. It certainly shows. Thank you! I am a sucker for getting in the car in the middle of a weekend and going for a drive to find a new place outside of my local city to go explore at. Went for a hike and ended it at Stockman ready for my reward and boy was I not let down. How cute is the local feel for this place and the lady running things behind it! I was solo so I didn't get to enjoy the jukebox like I wanted to, but you never know what next weekend might bring. If the owner got a dart board you would see me more! Old school, with new ownership. Service is decent, location is sweet and the drinks are metered. I think if you are regular you get a better pour. It is always pretty busy and the booths are old school cool. The bar is the second oldest bar in Sacramento County and it used to smell like that. It has been freshened up but it is still a professional drinkers bar, they sell nuts and chips I think, in the snack department. 4/21/25. The Bartender Amanda kicked me out for something happened of 4 years prior over a complete misunderstanding. I was partying with some guys and I was just taking pictures of my friends having some fun and I accidentally unknowingly took a picture of the female bartender. Sorry maybe I'm not up on bar etiquette in my 50's. Not a regular bar goer. A night to remember, Right? Wrong! She kick me out back then for doing a no no. Today I went in to have a drink having good casual conversation and happened to mention that night. Well that was not good. She asked for me to leave and close my bill. Then the insults started to fly. I poured one drink out. I was in complete shock. One minute nicey nice next minuter daggers and insults about my size started fly like confetti. I wasn't there to cause any problems and ended up leaving pissed off and confused. I hope Scott owner sees this post. Needless to say I won't be setting for foot or ass in that bar ever again. read more

This bar is on the smaller side and really doesn't have much seating - if you like mellow bars and something not so crowded, this may be the place for you. This is more of bar you can hang out with friends at and actually talk, without loud music. The "party-side" is on the low level here (for anyone 21-28). read more

Me and my friends come her on a weekday when it's not busy. We enjoy easing into our week on Monday with a couple of drinks and a round of billiards. i NEVER write yelp reviews. but the experience i had here was unbelievable. COOP the bartender decided to not serve us our 3rd round because we had closed out our tab after the first 2 rounds thinking we might be leaving soon. he VERY RUDELY told us that he's not going to keep opening and closing tabs and got very disrespectful with us. (even though the girl bartender served us our first 2 rounds) after leaving, i called & asked to speak to a manager. Coop answered and his response was "yeah it's 1-800 suck my d***" and hung up. Upon talking to other people who have been here, they have had similar bad experiences with Coop as well. This guy should not be working at a place like this where your JOB is to give good customer service. Safe to say, my friends & I will never be going back. read more
