If I could give this place more, I would. The restrooms are great. A solid 10/10. Would poop here again

It's not very often I come across reviews that I usually take seriously and that's why I decided to give three sisters a try. I can tell you that I wish I had because it would have saved a hundred bucks. To start the hostess was really nice and after confirming out appt. took us to our table, got us some water and rolls, no complaints there. The waitress got our drink orders and we ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. It was around this time a blonde woman was sat to our left and unbeknownst to us she was the manager for the two restaurants in the casino. (I'll get back to the food in a minute) The woman who I later found out to be the overall manager demanded the attention of all staff because as I was later told they were training. She sat in the corner and pulled worker after worker over to tell them how bad they were doing and I got the pleasure of hearing it all. There was a laptop and a printed out review that she continued to use to berate the manager of the restaurant (also found out later) within earshot of customers. She made the "pssst" sound to get waitresses attention with a complete disregard for the customers around her. I have never witnessed such unprofessional management of really anything in my life. Frankly, if the food wasn't so terrible, I wouldn't go back for fear of being withing earshot of her. Back to the food, the best I could describe it would be "if you believe copious amounts of garlic will make anything taste good, this is the place for you!" or possibly "if you want to feel criminally overcharged for the worst food you've ever had, this is the place for you!" I know how that sounds but when you see the pictures you will understand, it's literally like they spooned raw garlic from the containers you get in the store in an attempt to make the food taste good. I am still in complete shock that I was charged over a hundred dollars to dine there. I honestly refuse to believe there is a trained cook in the kitchen but I do believe there is someone back there giving it their best. This would be ok but when you're paying 28 dollars for a steak and 26 for shrimp and salmon, I believe it's reasonable to assume the food would be flavorful, cooked right and not covered in raw garlic. I found out the waitress was new and training, I cannot fault her for her shortcomings but in my waiter days, we had a waiter and a trainee, not just a poor overwhelmed trainee that is trying to figure it out. She was nice and I hope she's doing ok considering the laptop lady was constantly calling her over and "training" her (I personally thought it was berating her and I would have been embarrassed and nervous if it was me). On the positive side, I called to voice my concerns the restaurant manager (not the lady on the laptop) seemed apologetic and understood the issues that happened and offered to make it right, I had no interest in putting myself through all of that again and declined. Overall, I found this to be one of the worst experiences at any level of restaurant but frankly it was offensively bad for the amount of money you spend at this place. I try not to judge restaurants by just visiting them once but I don't believe I could endure another night like this evening. Take my word and don't waste your time and money, lest you find yourself on here leaving a negative review of what could have been a wonderful trip.

    Stuffed mushroom perfection.

Mother's day buffet was very disappointing. The food was cold and was not appetizing. Staff was nice. Wasn't worth the cost.

Giving a motel/hotel a decent rating can be more difficult than you think. Especially when you…read morefactor in the cleanliness of the room, the part of town you're staying at, the amenities that are offered, value, and overall condition. This takes me to the city of Fallon, the largest city in Churchill County which is roughly an hour east of Reno, Nevada. I came here on Labor Day weekend (Sept. 5/6, 2020) to visit family in the Reno/Sparks area. Much to my shock, I could not find one single hotel available anywhere in Reno! I get it that it is a holiday weekend but everything was absolutely booked. My speculation is that many people were going through "pandemic fatigue" (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) where everyone wanted to get out of the houses and venture out of town. Fortunately I was able to book my reservation on the evening of Sat 9/5/2020. Since I am a valued member of Choice Hotels, I was able to go on their app and book a one-night stay at "Comfort Inn". The price was a very decent $110. I was very relieved because if this place was not available, I would have to go further out to Lovelock or even Winnemucca. I arrived roughly at around 9:15pm and my initial check-in was a breeze. Parking was tricky to find since I arrived so late but I found a spot not too far from the hotel grounds. Once I was given my key-card, I was pleasantly surprised with my hotel room. There was an abundance of fresh linens, clean towels, a mini-refrigerator, a small coffee maker, hairdryer, safe, and a 32" HDTV. The Wi-Fi was also relatively quick and was efficient during my stay. Most importantly, the king size bed was comfortable while I was able to sleep peacefully during my stay. The exterior though is just average as the hallways looked like something out of the mid-1980's. This is also the case with the indoor pool/jacuzzi area (which were closed due to the pandemic) and the overall appearance. Keep in mind that this hotel is single-level which can be a deal-breaker for people that are handicapped. Overall, the "Comfort Inn" in Fallon, NV was an enjoyable stay especially when this is a very quiet city with few attractions. The women at the counter were helpful while my stay served its purpose. My rating, an above average four-stars.

I was passing through the small town of Fallon, Nevada along driving The Loneliest Road in America…read more I had read that this.....the Overland Hotel was a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in exploring Fallon. After getting my Loneliest Road Survival Guide stamped at the Fallon Convention Center, I thought....why not stop by the Overland Hotel and check it out! It's situated right on the corner of historic Maine Street. It can't be missed. On the roof of the place....it simply says...."Hotel"....lol, that's how "old school" this hotel appeared to be. Also, the entire exterior was painted brick red with a little white awning hanging from the 2nd floor. My initial thought was that this hotel was gonna be a real vintage throwback. And that's exactly how I'd describe the Overland Hotel. In all, it's a combined hotel, restaurant, bar, lounge and saloon all mixed into one iconic landmark. Entering inside....the whole vibe and feel certainly oozed of your typical "dive bar". A no frills, classic bar and saloon dedicated to the blue collar folks out there. I would also slightly describe the ambiance like an old western saloon.....yet I had seen a lot better cowboy saloons along my Loneliest Road journey....especially in playful Virginia City, Nevada. Regardless, I did sit down and grab a drink at the bar. Overall, it was nice, an okay/decent moment to stretch out my legs, relax and unwind after many hours on the road. I would assume the hotel is a vintage type of place to stay as well, blending into the whole "old fashioned" theme. For me, I was content to have had a chance to discover this Overland Hotel as a fine roadside stop in Fallon. For anyone else interested in checking out some other attractions in Fallon, I'd recommend passing by the Naval Air Station (supposedly home of the Top Gun Training facility). Also a few miles just east of town along The Loneliest Road was Sand Mountain Recreation Area.....a unique and desolate spot with land-piles of sand and hills to wander, roam around and explore upon.....similar to but not nearly as majestic as Great Sand Dunes National Park near Alamosa, Colorado.
