Only Place I take my Car TOO GREAT SERVICE...Great Staff...Always Friendly...Fast SERVICE…read moretoo....Good Prices TOO Pending on what's being done

Terrible experience at this shop. Issue #1 I needed my tires changed, a sensor replaced, and my…read morewindow regulator replaced. I was told while I wait for the tires they can diagnose what's wrong with the sensor and window. Didn't hear anything from them until I called earlier in the day they told me the car would be ready for pick up. They told me they're running behind and it would be ready the next day. Next day comes around - same thing. Told them okay I'll wait but I need my car tomorrow by the absolute latest. 6:00 PM rolls around (their close time, after I called a couple times around the end of the day to see if it will be ready by close, they said yes). Anyways, I call at their close and they tell me im next in line and they're not leaving the shop until it's done. 8:00 PM rolls around and I get a call that its ready. I show up and the rear window is still broken (kinda expected it since they never called to give me a price) but my side panels in the backseat are all taken off the car. They tell me that they'll order the part and fix it asap. Week later and I call again to ask what the word is. "It's really hard to find the part, but we ordered it now" - great. Issue #2: I'm driving after the tire change and I notice a bit of turbulence while driving. I think great another issue with my car. Couldn't be the tires that were just put on right? Low and behold I look in my sideview and mirror when the turbulence got bad and notice my wheel is on the verge of flying off. I check the lug nuts and they are all so loose I can unscrew them with my hands. Issue #3: I'm now sitting here for 45 minutes in the rain after calling them to tell them what's going on (with my back window down and all the electrical for the window exposed because they disassembled the window to be able to fix it when they get the part). They're on the way to help with my tire and I specifically asked if they'd be coming right away or if I'd be waiting like usual with them. They say "nono, a tech is coming right away" here we are 45 mins later going on an hour and nobody is here. All this to say, check my other reviews on Google, I seldom leave a 1 star review or write such a long review but this shop is a straight joke and clearly don't know what they're doing. Front desk guys are nice but continuously give you the run around - that's about all I can say about positives.

She convinced her that she had to rustproof the car and had her authorize the work. When I called to complain, she informed me that it was none of my business, would not provide any refund and that Mom had signed for the work. This is totally taking advantaged of an old Senior to get $120. DO NOT trust this place; STAY AWAY! I have been a retail CEO/President for 35 years and I would not let any of our staff do this ever!

If at all possible, I'd very much like to get this information to the Active Green and Ross head office. My comments were as follows, Your store survey allows only 245 characters, this is not enough. I had my car serviced today at the store on Robertson Rd. Ottawa, On. I have some complaints. 1) The woman at the store told me that the Yokohama ENVigor tires that are advertised as buy three get one free (good till Sept. 30) were not available for the promotion. 2) The service manager tried without success to charge me for extra work that I did not ask for. 3) I did not realize (my mistake) that I was charged $162.03 for front brake pads (PGD864AC) and $158.19 (PGD813C) for rear brake pads. I do understand every business has it's markup costs but these costs are absorbitant. These brake pads sell for $29.99-$55.99 and $30.83-$47.55 respectively. I'm disappointed in myself for not noticing these prices in my invoice at first for if I did I would have brought my business elsewhere. This experience has left me with a gross dislike for the way Active Green and Ross does business and I will not be a repeat customer.

The Crankcase takes 4.1 Litres of oil. These idiots put in over 5.3 Litres. I have no idea why my engine didn't blow a seal. Photo of the oil I drained out attached. Problem #2: They got the biggest and dumbest employee to reef the filter on with as much force as they could muster. I had to crush the filter with a hammer so that I could grip it to spin it with a vice grip to twist it off. Filters are supposed to be 'FINGER TIGHT'. Photo attached. Problem 3: They used the cheapest and smallest Chinese filter on the planet. It probably cost them between 50 cents and $1. I'm being generous. The name on it is 'Service Champ'. Never heard of it. It was 30% smaller than the proper size Fram or Purolator or Mann filter. I estimate the total cost to TAKE 5 for the lowest quality oil available, at around $7, and $1 for the total garbage filter = $8. They charged me $60. Deal with these clowns at your peril. I never will again.

They checked over most of the car, oil was changed over in very little time. Then noticed a few minor issues but since they only do oil changes they didn't have any solutions to the minor issues just suggested I go else where for them. Overall good service friendly staff.
