U-Haul affiliate Nicholas Stoicheff of Stoicheff Auto, State College, PA, is a problem. Look at…read morereviews from different sites, and you will find his rude, indifferent behavior with many customers. And the trouble is, he does not care about the experience, or any help needed. He certainly does not care about the U-Haul Brand. This location needs to be removed as an affiliate.. Nicholas Stoicheff cost me time and money. To keep this short, his answers to my questions simply were not true. Based on what I learned from this guy, I changed to a POD delivery which then only required a simple one-day UHaul rental to the facility. It cost me over $1k more, and U-Haul lost about $500 in income. But I thought at the time he was at least telling the truth. When I came to pick up the truck, he said that I could not leave my car in his ample lot. And he was still fricken rude. They just don't like this U-haul business - they are a repair shop. He sent me packing to the Benner Pike State College, PA store without an explanation. I told him I thought he was rude and wanted his name. That's when he said it was a family business - he was the kid. This "kid" is squandering the family name. Maybe that doesn't matter because the previous complaints would have helped solve this if the parents had cared. But it does matter to customers and U-Haul. At least, it should. And only a few days later I found out that what Nicholas told me was not true. This month, I have had the privilege of working with U-Haul Colorado Springs and U-Haul Benner Pike. These were highly positive experiences. Nicholas Stoicheff does not give two shakes about the U-Haul Business or customers. Because it looks like that snot-nosed punk will not be leaving soon, I strongly suggest that U-Haul leave Nicholas Stoicheff Automotive in State College, PA.

His reply great!

In addition, their phone system is a compromise between national and local support. Often my qestion can only be answered by the local site. But, the main line to the local rings past to the national help line. It is often best to just go there. this is the largest u-haul in the area. I also beleive that they are the largest network, so I can drop off near where I'm headed. The rates are ok. the equipment is not hard to use and looks like some care went into usability (compare penn state systems for hard to use). I get the impression that these folks care. Not a 5 star care, but a 4 star care. they try to do their job in a chaotic environment. I will go back, but I like to call ahead, I stop by for complicated arrangements, I ask for discounts when they screw up, I ask to be passed back to the local folks (who may be moving a truck around), and appreciate that they don't yell too much when i screw up.

I have problems with getting past being OVERCHARGED and I definitely got a problem with somebody 8 STATES AWAY USING MY CREDIT CARD AT A U-HAUL LOCATION WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Resulting in canceling my credit card and them having to send me a new one because somehow my card was used in person in Phoenix Arizona and I live in Pennsylvania 20 minutes away from Ohio (it's impossible). The closest thing to Phoenix that I can put together is the truck I rented from State college Pennsylvania had Phoenix plates on it. U-Haul truck, rented at U-Haul. The only glimmer of light throughout this whole process was a female that works that Princeton West Virginia location was beyond helpful beyond knowledgeable and super friendly. That being said it definitely was a U-HAUL EMPLOYEE THAT ROBBED ME.
