However, on a whim today I decided to give immortal art a call as I had noticed their shop while grabbing lunch. The kind lady over the phone stated that they don't do walk-ins, however, they can do same-day appointments. Thankfully, she told me that they had an opening in their schedule within the next 10 minutes. I immediately ran over and started the paperwork before getting my rook piercing lined up with Morgan. Morgan explained the process very quickly while sterilizing my ear, which I appreciated as I've had shops sit me through a whole long course before. I also appreciated that he took his time explaining the proper placement and anatomy of my ear. Overall the piercing itself was pretty quick and mostly painless as Morgan was super fast while putting the jewelry in. The piercing itself cost around $80 which I was extremely happy with!! I also visited with the two employees upfront and learned that they had been in business for about 30 years and all the lovely decor was put up by the owner. I don't know if you can see it too well in my photos, but there is a super cool skateboard deck wall in front of the parlors, as well as some awesome tattoo stencils all over. Overall, the whole process didn't take me more than 10 minutes and I absolutely love the vibe of the shop and I'll be back for more in the future.

I received a tattoo cover up here that required two sessions. My girlfriend came with me.We were quoted approximately $500 for the tattoo, and during the first appointment we tipped $100 because we were verbally told the second session would be free aside from potentially a small shop/service fee. During the second session, we were unexpectedly charged an additional $100. I chose not to argue because the tattoo initially looked good and we trusted the process. However, after healing, a significant amount of the opaque shading faded and the original tattoo became visible again. We reached out calmly and professionally simply to discuss the fading and the misunderstanding surrounding pricing for the second session. Instead of handling the situation professionally as the owner of a business should, Joey immediately became defensive, hostile, and disrespectful. Despite us clearly requesting written communication only, he repeatedly attempted to call us and became increasingly rude when we would not answer. During the conversation, Joey made comments including "You obviously don't speak English," used a homophobic slur ("fag"), mocked us, and repeatedly treated us with disrespect for simply attempting to discuss a customer service concern reasonably and professionally. At no point were we threatening, aggressive, or disrespectful toward him. We simply wanted to discuss the fading of the tattoo and the unexpected additional charge in a calm and respectful way. What disappointed us most was not even the tattoo outcome itself, because touch ups and fading can happen. It was the behavior and complete lack of professionalism shown by the owner when a customer tried to resolve an issue respectfully. If you choose to go here, I strongly recommend getting ALL pricing, touch up expectations, and guarantees in writing beforehand.
