Dave responded promptly to my initial inquiry last winter. Over the course of the year we exchanged emails and phone calls. He sent me a detailed questionnaire which was a huge help in planning the timeline for the evening. They provided a string quartet for my ceremony, jazz during cocktails, piano during dinner, and a 9-piece band during the reception. This amount and quality of entertainment doesn't come cheap, but it's worth every penny. Definitely go to their website. They have song clips available that illustrate just how dead-on their sound is. I hired them because they can do La Bouche, Katy Perry, The Supremes, Sam Cooke, and Beyonce without batting an eye. The band was happy to learn the obscure song we chose for our first dance. They also gave us some beautiful suggestions for ceremony music (courtesy of Dave's classical music specialist, aka his wife! so cute). Many guests have said the highlight of the night was when a singer from the band came out onto the packed dance floor during "Shout!" This band knows how to gage a crowd and have fun while keeping the evening flowing smoothly. They graciously accepted a couple of last minute changes and even allowed us to pump iPod music through their speakers after the set was done so we could all sway to "American Pie" while they packed up. Orchestra 33 provides first class entertainment that will make any event fun and memorable. They were the single best decision I made while planning my wedding (besides saying yes to my husband of course).

The security had to tell them twice to knock it off. They were destroying some of the props. They should have all been kicked out with no refund. For the haunted house itself, it was great. I liked all of the details that went into them especially for their first year. I noticed from YouTube videos as well as our walkthrough, that there were two different paths. Our path didn't have the giant troll or the church. There is a small souvenir shop at the end as well as some spots to take pictures.

So of course she loves to....Just Dance!…read more Every now and then I'll accompany my niece, Madelyn to her weekly Saturday morning dance class lasting about 45 minutes. About three teachers, eager teenage girls, lead this class of 3-4 year olds in basic but most importantly fun dance exercises. Teachers here are patient and truly take the time to make sure the kids are learning the proper forms while making it fun at the same time. My favorite part is to see my niece holding on to the bar bending into a plie with her frilly pink tutu. Parents are able to see their little ballerinas in action through a one sided mirror that looks in the dance studio. I definitely suggest arriving at least 5-10 minutes early so you get a good seat on the "viewing bench." Parents are typically not allowed into the class, but I've seen exceptions made for children with severe separation anxiety. As a parent, or even an aunt, it's easy to forget to bring this that or the other to class. Thankfully, both ballet and tap shoes are available at their gift shop for rental free of charge to children enrolled in classes. I cannot wait to attend the recital at the end of the class!

We found DancEncounter this year after my 2.5 year old twins wanted to try ballet. From day one both Ms. Tracy and Ms. Jeni were extremely patient as they transitioned into the class -despite tears and a learning curve when it came to class time without mom. The girls always arrived excited to see them and left class with a smile. We recently participated in the end-of-year show and beyond my personal experience with the school, I saw firsthand the ripple affect of this wonderful school on dozens of girls and boys of all ages and capabilities. Not only are the instructors talented, but it was obvious by watching this entertaining show that they not only foster and nurture the talents and passions of these kids, but provide a positive environment of encouragement, camaraderie and mentoring that is hard to find. I cannot say enough about DancEncounter! I hope my girls decide to keep dancing and continue to be a part of this wonderful community of dancers.

There's also a charging station for the cool folks driving electric vehicles. This building is very old; bricks and large wooden beams add a vintage vibe, as does the seating. If you've never been to Batavia, it's a cool little place to visit. There are plenty of choices for food and drink before a performance. Also, this building sits along a river and next to a park. Sweet. We recently saw Neil Simon's "Rumors" here. It was very funny, and the actors were AWESOME! My only complaint was their "modernization" of the script - LOTS OF SWEARING. F-bombs do not make the performance funnier, just crude. Albright, you can do better. Tickets were fairly priced at $17 - $22, with an additional $3 per ticket processing fee when purchased online. Bathrooms are currently available on the 1st and 2nd floors, so wait for intermission or you'll miss too much of the performance. Good news, though: the city of Batavia is updating the building. The new 3rd floor bathrooms should be ready in Fall 2022. Yay! Seating was somewhat uncomfortable, but not unbearable. Although rows are not on a slope, every seat in this intimate 88-seat theater likely has a good view of the stage. Candy and soft drinks are available during intermission. Cash only - come prepared. Who can resist peanut butter M&M's? YES, we will definitely go again. Just hoping they discover the vast world of adjectives and skip the F-bombs before the next show.

Mind you, our daughter got hurt at the beginning of spring session (so we paid for an entire session) and is on crutches, barely being able to walk. This was our first time at this venue…read more I discovered one thing and confirmed another. This venue is small, intimate and great for listening to live music. (discovered) Matt Nakoa is a star waiting to be discovered. (confirmed). He played at the TWSCH and enthralled the audience. The host made the point that the house is a listening room--much appreciated--and it is. This is a volunteer run space which offers good coffee and some pop, water and packaged cookies.
