my first time here in well over a year and i was very happy with my food selection! i decided to go with the miso broth hot pot and that was absolutely delicious. i loved getting to go up to the bar and selecting my own items to throw into the boiling broth. it made the entire process more about the experience than waiting on the waitress to take my order for more food. everything was on ice that needed to be, and i LOVED that they had squid and shrimp, and a variety of other proteins to choose from. i think this was very worth the price for the ayce aspect of this restaurant and the variety of things. i had my friend's daughter with me too, and she enjoyed the bbq experience, getting to grill her own lemon chicken that i thought tasted very good (the portion that i grilled myself and ate was, anyway). i'll definitely come back but more mindful of portions. i ate too much lol i did enjoy that the place was clean and relatively quiet during our meal too. it wasn't crowded and it wasn't dirty or messy anywhere at the bar, which i really appreciated. everything tasted great in my opinion. read more

We visited this restaurant for lunch. All you can eat for 19.99 a person. The meat choices are cut in half at lunch as opposed to dinner, but we still had plenty to eat. Our server was not attentive once she brought our food even though we arrived at 11:30 am so only a few customers. The all you can eat bar also had several empty areas, so assuming again dinner has more to offer. Our burner was never turned down or checked and the last of our meat was burned. I will say server did come by once and asked if we wanted any more meat, we didn't as they were large portions. We had chicken, brisket and another chicken. The brisket was paper thin and frozen. Both chicken choices were good. For the price we did not feel cheated, the food was just mediocre. I'll continue my Chattanooga quest for great Korean barbecue. read more

If I could give zero it would be zero stars. What a poor experience we had. Service was as okay but furniture and appliances was working condition. Not to mention the dingy dirty I wanted to leave, but we were meeting there for dinner. the table would not stay lit to cook the food about 4 times the waitress had to play with the temperature gauge getting and the other not lit. Eventually, everyone on one side of the table had to get up for her too the other table grill to work. After the fourth in the middle of eating, the whole table had to move to a different table at which time we encounter roachesrunning across the floor. I screamed in shock and a wait ran over to kill the water bugs. We had to move a dozen people to a different table in the process of trying to eat. it just no one else does.$166 was or bill price. My wife and I went to Stone Age for dinner at 6pm (busy time) Dec 30. Our server was Wendy. We've eaten here many times when it was Volcano, food was great then, curious how it is now. We had Beef Bulgogi, Beef Short ribs, Jumbo shrimp, Stone Age salad, Beef soup (which is delicious) and white rice. My wife additionally had Stone Crab Legs, EVERYTHING WAS FRESH, Wendy was very attentive, I asked for Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) which is outside the norm. The manager gladly & quickly brought it over and suggested to add additional different sauces at the Sushi & small plates counter, to make my sauce authentic Korean. So to recap: Food - fresh & great Server - Wendy (she's a keeper) I also watched the other servers and they all were working hard Management - attentive and cordial Seafood - delicious Waiting time to sit - No time, sat right away With the advent of vindictive and aggressive customers providing unrealistic expectations & nasty comments about service, food, etc, I feel it necessary to be honest and provide my review, so I came to see for myself how this restaurant is. I was a top server for many years, a Host, a Bartender and restaurant Manager. If you're coming to stuff your face with really good Korean BBQ, this place is great. Stop the drama, it's their house, their rules, be cordial and polite and there won't be any problems, if you do have any kind of issue, pull the manager aside and discuss it, leaving nasty reviews, hurts everyone even employees that have nothing to do with your situation, be respectful. The server was clueless about the menu and did not know anything. She basically said that ordering food from the menu would take a long time to make. We gave her the order three times and did not write down the order then she ask us what are we ordering. It's horrible and pricy. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Atmosphere: Professional, modern, and clean with a polished shine to many of the surfaces. Service: Quick and friendly. Most staff were of Asian descent which was helpful when requesting suggestions or explanations of food/cooking. Food: Amazing. M party of five ordered different proteins and sides for each round, of which there were four. For nearly every protein, my son and I caught ourselves commenting how THIS was our favourite, only to be surpassed by the next meat. Each had so many flavours! From the start, the place felt a little off. The bathroom was clearly overdue for a cleaning, ( hair on the seats, unflushed toilets, tp, the basics but a bathroom says a lot about the work ethic and cleanliness of upper management/owners) and seeing a sign that said "last cleaned at 11:30 a.m." Dylan- I believe, didn't exactly inspire confidence. I've worked in restaurants--I get it--but this just didn't feel clean. We ordered, and i didn't realize all the meat was coated in sesame oil and seasonings, so i asked if i could get it without the seasonings and then the manager came over and explained that's just how they do it, which is fine--I respect different cultures--but the way it was handled felt dismissive. It didn't feel like a conversation; more like being shut down. -Huge ALLERGY ALERT Then our hot plate didn't work. We sat there for over 30 minutes with raw meat that wasn't cooking. Our server was doing her best--she really was great--but eventually had to call the manager over. He removed the hot plate, and as he did, rusty water spilled all over our table and food. It was hard to miss. And to make matters worse, while he was fixing it, he leaned across the table with his arm practically in our food. Not a great look. They moved us to another table, and this one had burners running so hot that everything just burned. Nothing was edible. My son enjoyed the soup part and got to play around with making ramen, which was probably the only highlight. I tried to make the best of it with the crab legs, but even those were overcooked and had that weird texture like they'd been frozen and thawed a few times. There was also a hair in the crab rangoon in the buffet which was ultimately what killed my mood. I pointed it out, and the guy just picked it out and placed it on a plate, picking the hair off...at the buffet line! At that point, I didn't even bother pushing it further. Again, our server was sweet and really tried. But when I talked to the manager about everything, he just didn't care. No apology, no attempt to make it right. We didn't eat 90% of what we were served, and still walked out paying $122 for what amounted to some crab legs and a pot of ramen. I'm not one to write negative reviews lightly, but this was bad. The food wasn't good, the cleanliness was questionable, and the way the issues were handled just made it worse. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's not worth the money, the frustration, or the risk. If you're looking to celebrate something special or just enjoy a decent meal, I'd look elsewhere. Side note: If you go somewhere serving shellfish like mussels, clams, or oysters--and they're already opened before you cook them--don't eat them. Shellfish should open naturally during cooking. If they're open beforehand, that's a red flag. It usually means the animal died before it was cooked, which can carry dangerous bacteria and toxins. Eating them can literally make you sick--or worse. I saw several trays of wide-open shellfish at this place, and it was honestly shocking. That alone should be enough reason to stay far away. read more

This place is under new ownership since June 2025 and is now known as "Stone Age Korean BBQ and Hotpot." 5 stars! Went for lunch today, 9/10/2025 (until 3PM). Excellent food and great service. For the BBQ, you order 2 meats (chicken, beef, brisket, pork, bibimbap, etc.) and 3 side items (salad, mixed vegetables, etc.). The server brings your order to your table for you to cook on the round grill in the middle of the table. It was fun. They also have sushi, crab rangoon, pot stickers and other items at separate buffet tables. read more
