We purchased a home in Fall of 2024 from stonebridge homes. The service staff and salesman were very kind and helped a lot while designing our home. However, our experience since that time has been very poor. We've had multiple issues with the home including the hot water heater and the garbage disposal going out. Stonebridge homes consistently refuses to participate in any repairs. They also offer a one-year warranty. However, after that point they take no responsibility for anything going wrong, including major appliances like the hot water heater. They also created issues while building the home including putting on the wrong countertop and putting doors on backwards that made travel through the house. Very difficult. Fixing these issues cost quite a bit of money and was added to the cost of our home. Well it's very helpful to have a company that lets do semi-custom homes. The service is very lacking and they need to reconsider their stance on follow through and their honesty with the quality of their homes. read more

My wife and I have shared our experiences during all phases in writing, texting, pictures, and phone calls with their staff. With no feedback from them unless pressed. In fact, several issues when sales and construction made mistakes, we were made to feel unreasonable when we asked them to correct. Quality and attention to detail with fit and finish was not congruent with the cost of the house. Extreme lack of respect by the trades of finished surfaces and equipment. It's been one year for us in our new home and we love it. Stone Bridge seems to be a unique builder in that there are quite a few adjustments and customizations that can be made to specialize your needs. We worked with Travis, who was friendly and personable and seemed to do his very best to make all of our needs met when building this home. One unique aspect about our neighborhood I do really love is when looking at each street there are not any homes the same next to each other, quite a variety, making it not the usual "cookie cutter" neighborhood. They have also developed our neighborhood trying to preserve existing trees and have several playgrounds built in to the neighborhood. They were a few times we were frustrated, but that goes with the process on building a home and Travis and his colleagues did everything they could to help us out! Overall, we would use this builder again and recommend them to anyone looking to build a new home! I think we had more issues with sub-contractors and the quality of work completed for us. They have created frustration for us and we do feel the quality of some of their work is not the best. For example, we have had issues with grout work along our fireplace that we have gone back and forth with the subcontractor about, correcting and paying more attention to detail. We have done the corrections ourselves with much better quality work, which is not a problem, however, when you pay for work to be done and at the level of cost we paid, it should be excellent quality. We have had issues with the company they use for stone and tile work, but not with Stone Bridge. So, I'd say our concerns are with the subcontractors Stone Bridge and hopefully they are addressing concerns with subcontractors to repair issues and quality of work. read more

One of the WORST Builders around. They talk a good game but do NOT follow through with their claims if it's the least bit inconvenient for them. We purchased a new construction home which had been sitting for sometime. We unfortunately were stuck with little options at the time and thought we would be moving shortly anyway until the Pandemic changed those plans. As others had mentioned when walk-through or warranty issues came up, they would make all kinds of excuses saying they were Building or Industry Standards and not do anything. We were told on one issue that nobody ever looks there so they didn't fix it. We started finding other parts wrong. They claim about "Behind the Walls" construction is so great but when you actually look "Behind the Walls", or even on top of the door or window frame, that is when you find the truth of the matter. First thing that was defective was the Vertical blinds they installed as part of the Sales agreement. These were some of the flimsy P.O.S around. We struggled to open and close them and finally the rod broke off and we couldn't move them at all. The Subcontractor's response was to replace with the with the same poor quality blinds or pay $1300 for a different style of blind we didn't like. No other option was presented and since we couldn't use this sliding door to access our backyard, we called another company who came right away and installed a much nicer looking and quality that actually worked the way vertical blinds should operate. Next the backyard was poorly landscaped with the bark dust causing slivers in our and our dog's feet. The grass was not leveled and my wife twisted her ankle a couple of times. Stonebridge's solution was to poor sand over the entire yard to smooth out the bumps. Unacceptable. We ended up hiring someone else to do the work. Next 3 doors were rubbing or sticking with one so bad we couldn't open it. The repair person noted the trim board was warped and instead of replacing it, just pounded in a bunch of nails to try to flatten it out. Top Notch repair work......NOT!! All the trim around windows and doors was not painted on the top portion of the trim. Stonebridge's response: "Nobody looks up there" and "Industry Standards". In the end, they did nothing! The Access door handle from house to Garage, literally fell apart in my hand when trying to open it. Ended up repairing it myself! The ceiling light fixtures would not come apart to change LED light bulb that went out shortly after moving in. Stonebridge refused to come out and fix it and told me to "pound on it with a shoe" to open it up. One worked this way the other, started to open then the whole fixture detached from the ceiling. Luckily I had good reflexes to catch before it dropped and broke. The Hot water is intermittent and takes forever to heat up and it's not that hot. The Furnace runs almost all the time! No energy savings here! There is water underneath the house! Here is the most hazardous and lack of proper workmanship of them all! The Master Bathroom wall next to the walk-in shower started having a stain appear just after moving in. Stonebridge would not come out to look at it due to COVID. When they finally did arrive, the first contractor said "Not my problem". 3 weeks later a different contractor came out and said "Not my problem". After the 3rd time this happened, I said it's someone's problem. A co-worker suggested I go to the State of Oregon Contractor's Board. When I informed Stonebridge of this, magically a group of people showed up. This group determined what they thought the problem was and started tearing up the wall and the tile floor as the tile floor had cracks in it. They found out the tile was discontinued and were going to replace it on the floor only but would not replace the matching backsplash because the problem wasn't there. After a heated discussion, they finally agreed to replace the backsplash too. During the demolition, they found MOLD under the tile covering a majority of the bathroom. They called in an "expert" told me to leave the room "for my protection". I could hear him and the Stone Bridge person talking. The expert said 2 fixes. One permanent and one band-aid. Guess which one Stone Bridge presented me? You guessed it. The Band-aid fix. I said unacceptable and this is where it sits. After 2 years of battle with this company, they said there was no warranty in the first place. They said there is no cover for mold problem! They didn't give us copy of warranty document. We acquired from lawyer. It says not responsible for mold or sickness from that. There is no massive mold if there was no construction problem. This is how they can scam you. Be aware of it! We found out later this was Don Morrisette involved company. When we looked at his reviews, we saw a lot of complaints and some of those for the same issues we are having. We are having a house built and was told after finding mold that I need to contact them to see the home. It wasn't a problem before I found mold on the lumber inside the house. Why is it a problem now? This worries me about what else they are hiding. Especially after reading these reviews and talking to my inspector. The lumber being used for the framing is what my inspector calls waterlogged. This is from being left in the rain and mud puddles for months. Mold is on the wood being used to frame our house, but they said it's not a problem unless the wood gets wet again. I talked to an inspector, and he said that is not how it should be handled, and he is concerned. He said they should remove the wood or have it treated with a spray and then certified. I am talking with the neighbors, so that they will know what to look for. read more

We've built homes with Adair, Stonebridge, and a custom builder. Obviously the custom home with the builder was the best quality. Stonebridge has some positive elements, the quality of the home is nice. I think it has some upper scale elements, and overall is well built. The downside is the warranty as many have commented. The warranty stuff has been nothing but a hassle. We've had to call multiple times, and we've been told misleading things. Tired of listening to the bs we simply repaired the minor things. That being said, when you're building a house for someone, you'd think you'd go the extra mile. Not so much from the warranty department. read more

For the most part, I'm really happy with my new home. The foundation was built with dimensional lumber and not engineered which surprised me a lot. The design and build process went fairly well and we got pretty much what we asked for. The small details are what we didn't know to ask about and things you think are obvious are not. For example, 2 outlets in the master bath instead of one. We made a change before plans were approved, and were told it couldn't be done. Our Realtor helped us with that one and we got the change at an added cost. I would highly recommend using your own realtor to help guide you and not let you get pushed around. I also recommend using your own mortgage broker. The recommended one would have cost us more than the discount. The build team was pretty good. Amanda was truly amazing and Stonebridge is lucky to have her. Eric was frustrating. I'd ask questions and he'd say he would check with the builder. Really, that's you!!! When it came time to close and do the walkthrough, we got delayed a few days and needed to close before our interest rate lock expired. Give yourself plenty of time to get all the walkthrough items completed before you sign. Take your time and look at everything! If it's cosmetic, they won't fix it at the 90 day. We had paint touch up done at walkthrough, it was very obvious in one place and were told it would fade in. Nope and they almost didn't paint the entire wall at 90 day. I know this may seem a bit nit picky, but it's a brand new house and it should be right. So, get it done before you sign the paperwork. The 90 day went fairly well. It does take time to schedule the work and you do have to keep on top of it. One of the repair guys did say to me that Stone Bridge is really one of the better builders out there and that does give me confidence that I do have a good house. It was a learning process doing a new build. I've learned some lessons and know things that I'd add next time. Given my experience, I would be comfortable buying another Stone Bridge built house. read more

BEWARE: Stonebridge Homes NW will not stand behind their warranty. They have a 10 year structural warranty for which I filed a claim. I was promptly told that my issue is not structural and not covered. You will not be able to contact anyone in the business office, because all phone numbers go directly to a sales person who will not forward your request for a return call and if he does no one will return your call. They currently have an open complaint with the contractors board and I am filing a notice of pending litigation. If you purchase a $650,000 home your floors should not sag. read more

What a disappointment. We were so excited about building our new home in Forest Grove - Brooks Meadow. The lot sizes were big and the area was great. We had sold our home and was living in an Air BnB while waiting for "our home" to finish building. Throughout the entire process, it was stressed to us, "once you choose what you want, you can't change your mind". We had to choose countertops and cabinets way ahead of schedule, but we couldn't change our mind once we picked what we picked. We had to sign everything, including the building plan. 1) What we signed was supposed to be a 6ft vanity in the MASTER BATHROOM. What we got was a five foot vanity. They put the wall a foot too short for the vanity and a foot too long for the toilet room. So the toilet room is longer than the vanity. When we noticed it first and going through the electrical walkthrough, we did mention it to the sales person that was there with us and she essentially told us that we signed it and they're probably just building it the way we agreed. Come to find out, THEY made the mistake. We asked them to fix it, but they said no and that they'd compensate us $5K at closing or we can have all of our money back and walk away because they didn't want to stall the schedule...and it would cost them money to fix their mistake. We asked our contractor to come in and give us an estimate to how much it would cost to move the wall after we move in - $22K and it would involve just about every trade. We're walking away. No way would we be happy living in a house that was not built to our expectations. It's one thing to buy a house as is...it's another to expect the house to be build the way you wanted and not have it happen. 2) Also, the kitchen cabinets look weird. The great room/dining room is vaulted and the vault ceiling butts up to the 9ft kitchen ceiling. They didn't account for the crown molding that wraps the top of the cabinet so there's four inches of molding sticking out of the wall. 3) When we went to check on the house the last time, they'd order the wrong accent tiles to go in the shower inset for the shampoo. They'd already put a couple pieces of the mosaic tiles in the inset before we caught it. They said they'd take those down and order the right ones and put them in. If we weren't there that day, the wrong tiles would've gone in and I'm sure they'd tell us "too bad, so sad". We are so disheartened and disappointed. This was supposed to be our home. It could've been our forever home. They'll turn around and sell it for more than what we were going to pay them for. Good luck to the new owners. We've been in our new Stone Bridge home for about six weeks now, long enough to be able to reflect both on the process and the end result. We'd never built a home before, but the changing needs of our multigenerational family started us down this road. We were very happily surprised with the number of options and customizations available to us through Stone Bridge, and the process that we entered into with tno small amount of repidation turned out to be one that was actually fun and enjoyable. Stone Bridge is a small company and that results in a very personal feel. We worked closely with Travis as he guided us through this process, with many assists from Laura and Maddie. All of them were helpful, knowledgeable, and so pleasant to work with. The guidance we received throughout the design process and the high quality of even the standard materials resulted in a house that is solid, beautiful, and so functional. Will there be bumps in the road? Of course. It's impossible not to expect and experience them on a project this large. That being said, our house was completed within the given time window and we couldn't be happier with the way working with Stone Bridge has benefited our entire family. read more

When we started looking at new builds, there were so many builders in the neighborhood. We actually haven't heard of Stone Bridge and we found out that they are a local builder who builds semi custom, Earth Advantage certified homes. Being a first time home buyer, I researched the builders we were interested in, but unfortunately people like to post more negative reviews than positive ones so it's kind of skewed. Something about the Stone Bridge home felt right and we gave it a shot. Gary, Eric, and Amanda and the rest of the sales team were beyond helpful. All of our questions were answered, communication was great, and we never had any issues. They are truly wonderful people and it was such a pleasure working with them. I met Victor and Jeremy during the final walk though. They're also awesome. Our home is so beautiful because of the construction team's hard work. We are elated! Please, please, stay away from this builder. We have an 8 year old home that is leaking from both the master bathroom and the roof. They are being very difficult and not assisting with repairs. The work is clearly faulty as verified by actual contractors who specialize in this work. The person who owns this company contracts out with cheap inexperienced labor. The recent reviews are all fake clearly. If you see they followed actual true reviews. If you currently own one of these homes I highly suggest you have a contractor review these areas to prevent future water damage or address current water damage that is happening without your knowledge. Instead of being an upstanding business and taking responsibility for the corners they cut, they are in it to profit and do not care what happens once the home is sold. I will make it my mission to go to every stone builder home and notify the homeowners so that they do not suffer as we do. At the least mistakes can happen and if they addressed this appropriately I would have something better to say but clearly they are not interested in doing the right thing. read more

We purchased a house with Stonebridge in Cornelius, During the Build process all was good. When we did the walk through I was told everything would be taken care of at the 90 day mark or the 11 month mark. When it came to for the 90 walk through I was told that half of the items on my list were not mentioned during the initial walk through and would not be covered. So much for that.. At the 11 month walk through it took forever to get repaired. The Grout which was cracking from day on e was repaired. But started cracking again with in 6 weeks after the repair. I could understand if it was 6 months, but less that 6 weeks after the repair it should have been taken care of again. I am not happy with how all the repairs post purchase went.. really poor service. I would say buyer beware... read more

Stone Bridge is a breath of fresh air in the home builder world. The sales people are top notch and help customize the design to even the most discerning buyers taste (such as myself). The floorplans were diverse and even included choices for a master bedroom on the mail floor! Then of course you can tweak the layout to your taste. The sales team will help guide you with their experience to make sure every detail is accounted for. Considering our climate here in the NW, the fact that the homes are built to be incredibly energy efficient is HUGE. They even have a 3rd party (Earth Advantage) that certifies each home and guarantees your energy usage. The standard features are much higher quality than most builders, and the attention to detail seems to be second to none. The construction managers are great and do a full walk through of the home showing you how to use every little feature of the home. Having the option to add plugs, sinks, lights, windows, and even designing the bathrooms to your taste are unheard of unless you buy a fully custom home ($$$). These guys are doing it every day in their community. Stone Bridge is the only builder my family trusts to design and build our homes and am looking forward to working with them again some day. read more

My wife and I recently purchased a new home with Stone Bridge. The house was specifically designed to our request to fit on the lot we had chosen. No other builder in the industry seems to allow similar changes to existing plans. This and their reputation in the industry followed by the price point were the reasons we chose Stone Bridge. As we went through the process the choices for paint, flooring, countertops, tile etc were all very good. We spent days looking at available homes to compare our choices. Having numerous homes available within driving distance in other neighborhoods helped in making our decisions. I am involved in the construction industry. I know homes are typically not built by the "builder" themselves, they are built by their sub-contractors. There are a million moving pieces that have to come together to make your home the way you want it. There are communication errors that take place and errors that occur from the sub-contractors. What makes a builder a quality builder is how they respond to those errors. Stone Bridge has been beyond excellent in responding to our requests. The sub-contractors are sometimes slow or lack enthusiasm in correcting their mistakes. Our biggest negative was working with the real estate people who work for Stone Bridge. In particular, Eric. There were many communication problems with him. He repeatedly called the wrong numbers to contact us. We pointed out corrections to him that were not communicated to the builder. He told me things directly in conflict with things being told to me by builders representatives and I found in the long run, the builders representatives were correct. Love our Stone Bridge NW home! This was not our first home build, but it was our best experience. The team at Stone Bridge was great to work with and we could not be happier with the final product. The process was not without its issues, however the sales and build team had great communication and resolved all issues quickly and fairly. Their base floor plans are well thought out and provide a great platform to begin the semi-custom process of adding your own touches; way less stress than fully custom but still allowing for making our house a home with the personal touches. We very much enjoyed the process of picking finished materials with the design team. My biggest advice is to fully understand what the builder constitutes an engineering change and have all those decisions ironed out early. It is clear in the build contract when the door closes on engineering changes, but I did not have the discussion on what is considered an engineering change. (missed out on tray ceiling in our master bedroom because I asked too late). Great quality, good communication, wonderful layout and responsive to issues. Now we're stuck in a catch 22, We would certainly build with Stone Bridge NW again, but I love this house so much I'm not sure if we will ever move... read more

**Update 4/29/2015** Due to all the cracks in the tile and related issues, the local flooring company who worked on the home came in on a warranty visit to fix the problems. Upon seeing the issues caused by the drastic movement of the home, the flooring company has denied repair, citing the house as having been moving at an extreme rate and they would therefore be unable to guarantee any repairs. I am in direct contact with Stonebridge over this, and they have no answer. On top of that, just a few days ago some painters showed up unannounced on my front porch and started staining the wood there--something that should have been done about 8 months prior as the home was being finished. These painters left wood stain marks all over my concrete front porch and then just packed up their things and left. I contacted Stonebridge and they say they have no idea who it was, or why they would do that--the only problem is these guys are Stonebridge's contract painters!! Stonebridge, should be deeply embarrassed about their absolute failings in customer service. ------- **Original Review** My experience with Stonebridge has been a bad one nearly from the start. While searching for a new home in Eugene, my wife and I came across the new Stonebridge development in the southwest corner of town. After getting deeply entangled and committed to the process of buying a home from Stonebridge, we realized that this company's incompetence knows no bounds. The first associate we worked with from the company was unable to keep track of anything and caused a lot of headaches in our home buying process. Thankfully, she was let go for what I can only assume are mistakes she made on our home which cost Stonebridge a small amount of money. Throughout the build process Stonebridge fought us on every little change we wanted to make to their existing floor plan, which is comical because they try to portray an image of a home builder that will work with the customer to achieve their home building goals and ideas. Stonebridge acted like they were burdened by the needs of customers who were paying in cash on a half million dollar home. What a joke. Stonebridge is based out of Lake Oswego so their quality control is basically nonexistent in Eugene. I got the feeling at times that the contractors and sales people from Stonebridge were just kind of doing their own thing down in Eugene without any oversight, and only reported back to their bosses in Lake Oswego if their bottom line was at risk. One thing you will learn about Stonebridge is that they will nickel and dime you for every little thing, and then under-deliver horribly on the quality of their product. We conducted the walk through on our new home with the building contractor and found numerous items like unfinished doors, unpainted areas, unfinished carpets, holes in the dry wall, scratches all over our brand new cabinets, bizarre chemical stains on exterior doors, doors missing handles, missing caulk, missing trim pieces, etc. In the words of our contractor upon seeing all of this, "it will be fixed by Monday". Right. It is now over 8 months later and only 1 or 2 of the items from our walk through have been addressed. As well the floors were not cleaned before the carpet was laid down, so there are large chunks of debris underneath our carpet which can be felt underfoot when walking around. The finish work in the home is atrocious, wavy paint lines everywhere, panels left unpainted, sloppy caulk jobs, cracks, scratches and marks all over the place, toilet paper holder partially ripped out of the wall and just left that way. Now, almost a year into owning the home, the problems have gotten worse. Floor tiles are cracking inexplicably, the roof is separating from the walls with huge cracks, master bathroom tiles are caving in, and barely any of the original walk through items have been addressed. Basically, as soon as Stonebridge got a check with our money, they ceased to care about our situation. Their contractor (who does almost zero physical work himself) got an attitude with us, and became defensive over the fact that we wanted Stonebridge to own up to its problems. He then got somebody higher up from Stonebridge involved, and she proved to be of no help either. Stonebridge doesn't care about you, either as a customer or as a person--they're in the business of smiling to your face right up until they get that check, then they could care less. To further prove my point, my neighbors have expressed their discontent with their homes to me as well, and that says something. For the money I spent on this home, there are many nicer homes in the Eugene area. They won't be brand new, but as I'm discovering, new isn't always better. Stay far away from this company, if you buy a home from Stonebridge you will end up with a brand new broken home. read more

Update December 10, 2014 Is there no end to their poor contractor quality control? Apparently not. Dusting under the gas fireplace today, I noticed the fan blower was mounted UPSIDE DOWN. Took me 2 minutes to mount it correctly. Amazing difference in heat output. Back to * * for Stonebridge. Did I mention how my deck railing and a portion of the deck literally fell off?! Update January, 3, 2014 I've updated my original review of Stone Bridge Homes NW from 2 to 3 stars today. All the repairs undertaken have been completed. The ceiling in the main living area of the home has been "skip" coated and repainted after fixing a wall-to-wall crack, as has a second ceil and wall crack. Item three (below) regarding the trim has been addressed. The house continues to settle. Door strike plates upstairs have been moved 1/4 inch. So... where are we today - the final analysis. Points to Stone Bridge for stepping up AFTER the one year warranty and addressing items. That's good. But it should not have taken the "power" of social media to have them do so. A three star Yelp rating is A-OK. That's about as hight as we're prepared to go. Update Nov 1, 2013: We met with a representative of Stone Bridge Homes today. They, at their own offering, have undertaken to take on some major repairs and cosmetic changes. I very much appreciate their good-faith effort to make us satisfied customers. This will go a LONG way in changing my rating. Original Review I could go on ad-nauseum regarding the construction of our home in Eugene. But here are a few of the low points: 1) When the contract was signed to build the home we were told it could be built and closed by June 15th last year. We asked for a July 15th closing to better dove-tail with our lease where we were living which terminated on August 15th. That would give us a nice leisurely move-in. Stone Bridge dropped the ball and we were not able to close until mid August, which resulted in a hurried move in. The house was very poorly cleaned when we moved in. Sawdust under all the appliances and on top of all the cabinets. 2) Stone Bridge does not use craftsmen.... they use tradesmen. There is a big difference. Framers were slow, very slow. The painter was inept! I have spent more than a few hours fixing paint sags and areas that were never painted. 3) Trim carpenters put up pieces of trim that should have been scrapped. Requests to repair this has not been done. 4) It took months for a shower stall to be installed and towel and toilet paper holders to be installed. The 90 day list took months to be addressed. 5) Out-of-square wall, when brought to their attention they offered only an excuse regarding the reason. 6) One year on and the house is still settling. Large cracks that appeared in one wall and two long ceiling cracks that were repaired under the one year warranty, have reappeared and Stone Bridge refuses to send someone out to repair them a second time. Oh yes, be prepared to paint if you have a crack fixed.... Stone Bridge will not send anyone out to repaint. They will give you a quart of paint and tell you to do it yourself. 7) None of the external door latches matched with the strike plates which had to be fixed. Gaps under all the doors because they neglected to adjust the threshold seals. Now to be fair, the electricians were first rate, as were the HVAC people and plumbers. The house is very well insulated and very comfortable to live in. Stone Bridge did step-up and fix a few items that should have been caught and addressed in the 90 day list, but were addressed under the one year warranty. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, they get a solid 5. No Yelp three star review because that means A-OK in the yelp* world. Stone Bridge is not A-OK, they are very average in my opinion. If you sign a contract to have Stone Bridge build your home, be prepared to look over their shoulder every step of the way through the construction process, and document EVERY detail that needs attention. Kelly Ritz and her team at Stone Bridge have earned their reputation among the top luxury home builders in the business. Gary and Erik are the two realtors representing the company and they are superb. Both are very responsive, professional, and transparent. We have been in our new Stone Bridge home for almost 2 months. The first week, we had a problem with a leak from the washing machine appliance. This was actually due to an incorrectly installed washer by Standard Appliance, and no fault of Stone Bridge. Regardless, I called Stone Bridge's warranty department at 9pm on a Friday night. Misty from the warranty department personally came over to the home that late Friday night and helped me fix the problem. All the water damage was completely covered by Stone Bridge, even though it was Standard Appliance's fault! They also do a 3 month and 11 month home review and cover all repairs during that time, in addition to their famed 2 year / 10 year warranty. Not that you have to really worry about poor construction. The fit and finish of this home is like a Mercedes. Everything just feels solid and high quality. Yet, the home feels modern and sets itself apart from the mass production cookie cutter homes commonly found these days. We are very pleased with our new Stone Bridge home. We moved from a high quality construction from a well know luxury home builder in LO to this Stone Bridge home, and we absolutely love it. 5 confident stars for this company. read more

Found a beautiful house in Sherwood. Loved the fact that these builders worked on some custom additions to the house to meet our needs. Great quality builder with all the nice extra add ons that you could want in a home. Loved the finishes, and one of the few builders that had a master on the main plan which we were looking for. Make sure that you see Will Davidson out here in Mandel Farms in Sherwood. This is our second house purchase and these guys were way better than our first seller. read more

We bought a Stone Bridge Home NW in Pacific Crossing Forest Grove and the issues keep mounting. We found support beams in the attic not mounted to the roof so sections of our roof are unsupported. The sewer gas vent in the attic is capped off and not venting - that can be extremely hazardous. Our inspector found the fan in the attic was completely inaccessible but we were told at the walk through that it was accessible. After a few weeks of hearing the fan run non-stop, we found no way to get to it. Someone had to come cut a hole to access it. Also after moving in, we had gas leaking under our stove and water leaking under the house. We were promised hardware matching all the fixtures but they swapped it out for cheap hardware that doesn't match. They had 'neglected' to write down the option initially so there was no recourse for us. The HVAC vents were full of debris and even garbage during the walk through and Stone Bridge Homes NW argued they shouldn't have to clean them. They relented and promised to professionally clean them but only had a cleaning person vacuum what they could reach. So running the AC leaves white dust raining down. Stone Bridge Homes NW has no quality control, no construction supervision, no follow through and seems to have no interest in selling a safe, reliable product. Just know you will be buying into major aggravation if you buy from them. read more

MOLD & WATER DAMAGE! Just talked to stone bridge again and here is an up to date review of how they handle their clients. Water was found to be leaking for months from the upstairs shower pan and resulted in water pouring out of our downstairs ceiling lights. This is a clear sign that the water has found a path out of the shower and through the walls and into our downstairs living room. They came out and removed the shower pan and you could see mold in plain view. I requested that they have the area where the water travelled to be inspected for water damage and mold. They refused to check between the walls for mold or water damage, and added that I can hire and pay for the areas to be inspected on my own. THIS IS THEIR MISTAKE, and I have to pay for it? This company is horrible and cheap in every way possible. I thought I was buying quality, but I'm being passed around from person to person and being bullied instead. I'm Extremely worried about the possibility of toxic mold and the health of my family. I'm going to have it inspected by a professional and PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THEIR mistake! read more

My wife and I purchased a Stonebridge home in Shevlin Pines located in Bend, Oregon 1 1/2 years ago. It was love at first site.New homes have certain quirks that need to be addressed over time. Ours were all minor and taken care of without questioning and professionally done on time. Even after the warranty I was able to contact them and on three different occasions they sent someone out to correct the issue. Have had 8 homes and if Stonebridge had been the first all the subsequent homes would also have been built by them. We bought a home in Forest Grove and are very happy with it. Is it perfect? No, but I have had other homes built and they did a very good job, using quality products and contractors. They were very nice to deal with, and we liked everyone we worked with from initial real estate agent through the completion and move in process. We have very few things on our repair lists and they are pretty minor. All in all, the plumbing contractor was probably the worst, as most of the little repair items are/were plumbing. Will update after we've lived here a year or so! We would use them again!! read more

We had an excellent experience with Stone Bridge Homes! I would strongly recommend them if you are building a new home and want a high quality home. We're very proud of our beautiful new home. First we worked with Kristy in Sales. She helped us write a great contract. It seemed like she wanted us to have a beautiful home and to get everything that we wanted. Wish I'd never bought from this builder in Pacific Crossing, Forest Grove. They do shoddy work and have nothing but excuses about it. At the walk through, they have no interest in handing over a quality product or even a clean house. We have drainage issues under the house from poor construction, tile floors are uneven, they used crappy appliances and fixtures (even swapped fixtures from what we were promised), have leaky toilet and water pressure issues. But can't get them to show up and fix anything. It's been 3 months. Please believe the reviews you read here and go elsewhere or hire a good inspector. read more

We started working with Stone Bridge Homes NW in January 2016 and moved into our new home on 9/10/16. They were wonderful to work with and let us redesign the floor plan they gave us to start with. We were able to move walls, rearrange room placement and tweak the floor plan any way we wanted. During construction we visited at least once a week and as we found things wrong we were able to notify them and eventually everything was fixed. On our final walk through they had a painter and contractor right there fixing things as we went. Our closing list included only 2 items and they were fixed within days. A month in the house and we haven't found anything that needs fixing. They were great to work with and it's interesting watching a new development grow. The one complaint we had, was during the building process when we noticed things that needed fixing we contacted our Salesman, as instructed by Stone Bridge, but found that the information was not reaching the construction managers. We questioned several times whether they even had a job supervisor overseeing the process. The wrong tile was delivered for the master bath and was installed - they did have it removed and replaced before the final walk-thru. We had ordered a smurf tube in the great room and when the insulation was installed we questioned where the smurf tube was - We were told by Sales "Oh, I'm sure it's there, don't worry about it". Later after the sheetrock was up and the walls textured, we asked again and where told "It's there, they'll punch holes to find it later". A couple of weeks later we got an email stating "Oops, the smurf tube wasn't installed - Are you sure you still want it?" Well, yes we did. I will say they did an excellent job of cutting thru the wall, installing the smurf tube, then patching the sheetrock. I know where it was and I can't find the patch! It seems to us, that since they don't want the buyers to contact the construction team, they really need a go-to person that the buyers can talk to and then that person will rely the problem to the construction team. I don't believe the sales staff are the right contact. They don't seem to have much contact with the construction supervisors. read more
