Stone Drug is hands down the best pharmacy. I've filled 95% of my medications over the last 7 years here, and have never once had a negative experience. The staff and pharmacists go the extra mile to help you, and provide comprehensive information about anything and everything you have a question on. They take their time with you, and are just friendly enough to make you feel as though they know and care about you. I have never waited more than 5-10 minutes from walking in with a paper prescription, to leaving with it filled. Sure, big retailer pharmacies may appear to be cheaper, but in my experience i've never paid much more at Stone Drug than I have at a big national pharmacy. Local shop, local owned, local operated. Inside there is an old school type soda fountain and you can also get lunch here. Pharmacy is as good as priced as any other that isn't a mega corporation but with hometown friendly service. You can also find odds and ends here that you'd expect at a hometown drug store. read more

I am struggling with how to review this place. I have came here off an on for over a decade. The ambiance is very much old town pharmacy. You sit on stools and you should expect to visit with the people that work there and the people around you. If you dislike visiting with others it is not going to be a good experience. The food itself is mediocre. I could make it at home. Simple and a bit pricy for what you get, but not out of line from burger places, just smaller portions. this place has great Hamburgers and fry sauce to go with it. the kids love it.has a area for you to sit kind of retro.

This place is really home town at its best. There is a pharmacy, gift shop and the best of all... the old fashion counter with burgers and shakes. Some of the ladies working there were there when I was a kid. The food has never changed and the service is great at the food counter. I love this pharmacy I recently switched from a super center pharmacy and I feel like the experience is much more personal not to mention they had my specialty prenatal Rx in stock, I didn't have to wait a week and get the run around like the last place. They also have great prices on all the baby/breastfeeding items I need on a regular basis. Everyone who works there is friendly and they have this great little grill inside where you can get a burger and a coke etc etc. Love it! Old Fashioned lunch counter, gift shop, Small Town friendly people and exceptional service, even books to browse and a bench to sit on while you wait for your prescription to be filled (although I never get much chance to read because they are so quick). I went in the other day after my wife had been in to pick up a prescription. She asked me if I knew that they served food too. I did not lol. So we went back in that evening with our kids to try it out. The girl behind the counter appeared to be about high school age and was friendly enough. We placed our order and she got cooking. The first thing I noticed was the ingredients, most appeared to be stuff you could buy your self at Macey's. So not high quality stuff. We got our burgers after about 20 min. I got the double burger. It tasted ok, nothing special. The fries were just ok too. The price I thought was a little steep for what you get. My burger was $5 and the fries were $3 I think. So for about the same price I could go to Five Guys burgers and get a much better Burger. If the price was more reasonable I might go back, but as they stand far too much in my opinion for what you get. read more

Stone Drug is a pharmacy first, a gift/décor store second, and a little 50's style counter diner on the side. Counter only - don't expect your own table. I imagine my great-grandma ate French fries and drank sodas at the counter once. The burgers and fries are old-fashioned and excellent - fry sauce of course. You can order a 1950s staple: ice cream sodas! Some flavoring, ice cream, and soda water. The menu is small - burgers, fries, shakes and sodas - but it reflects the 50's, is tasty, and you can get an ice cream cone for 50 cents still. read more

IF YOU ARE ON MEDICARE DON'T GO TO THIS PHARMACY!! I am a Registered Nurse and have been the owner of a Medicare insurance agency and consulting business helping and advising seniors for over 18 years in Utah County. I am well known and respected in this community and have never had to advertise even once in all those years. All my business comes by way of referrals from clients and professionals in the community because of the quality of the services I provide, especially as an advocate for my clients in a very complicated Medicare system. In all these years I have never been treated as unprofessionally as I was by Stone Drug when I tried to get help with a problem one of my clients encountered there. I talked first with a pharmacy tech, then with a pharmacist and then with the owner, Mike Stone. I was truly shocked at the arrogant and disinterested attitudes I encountered as I explained the problem. Each person I spoke with was less sympathetic to the needs of my client than the one before. This pharmacy is listed on Medicare's website as a location where Medicare recipients should purchase test stips using their Medicare plans. My clients have a Medicare Supplement which allows them to avoid copays by purchasing their test strips using Part B of Medicare and using their supplement plan F . This pharmacy insisted on charging them a copay and utterly refused to take the card or information needed to bill their Medicare Supplement. My client went back in three different times and was turned away each time with demands that they bring in their drug plan card with group numbers, bin numbers etc..... which would assuredly cost them copays if the test strips were billed that way. The pharmacist said they have never billed a supplemental plan, they never WILL bill a supplement plan, they don't want to do business with Medicare any more and they will ONLY bill Part D drug plans, meaning clients shopping at this pharmacy will always pay a copay even when they don't need to. Many won't know they don't really have to pay a copay and this store certainly ISN'T going to tell them. Mike, the owner, kept telling me he didn't have the information to bill correctly and refused to listen when I told him his staff refused three times to take that information from the client or from me. He just kept repeating like a parrot, "I don't have the information to bill his plan, I don't have the information to bill his plan" He didn't like the fact that they didn't buy their prescriptions from his pharmacy and didn't realize he just lost a great opportunity to get their business. The pharmacist I spoke with was rude and was completely exasperated with me and by the end practically yelled at me saying "We don't get paid enough to do this for your clients or anyone else, what is the big deal anyway" I told him my clients are on a fixed income and are spending money they don't have to spend. Stone Drug is falsely advertised on Medicare's website as a place for seniors to go to get their diabetic supplies..... that's the big deal to me and it should be a big deal to them too. Stone drug is first class all the way. I used to be a big box pharmacy guy thinking they were the best. Boy I was wrong. I started filling persciptions at Stone drugs about 2 years ago. Everyone on the staff seem to care about you and always go the extra mile (or 2 miles) to make sure you are looked after. If you are in Spanish Fork give this business the chance to make you a fan. I used to wait an hour at times at a Rite Aid and have never waited more then 10 minutes (quite often 5) This is really a place where they know your name and care about you. Will never go back. I had to get medication for my son and I have family that work in a pharmacy but they dont live close enough so I went to stone drug (big mistake). They filled his medications with all name brands and said my insurance would not cover them. So my husband just paid for them and brought them home. So I call my sister to see why(she works at a pharmacy). And she got them to work on her computer with generic brand. So she called stone drug to see why they were not covered and the pharmacist said I have to fill with name brand to make any money. They should have told me that so I could have gone somewhere else! This was a expensive mistake that I will never learn agin. Will NEVER GO BACK!!! HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY! ! read more
