I have been extremely frustrated with my experience that started with Tez Marble & now using Stone Empire as the fabricator / installer for our countertops. After purchasing the slab we have been waiting for almost 2 months, been stood up without communication 5 TIMES by Stone Empire on dates for fabrication and install; and still no installation. Been told they will show up only to have no one be there and no one tell me they won't show up. Terrible communication, terrible customer service. This is not a way to do business, and I caution all before proceeding with them for your project. read more

I wish I had never used them... Original slab was lost or resold (whether this was the fault of Tez Marble - the seller of the quartzite slab or the fabricator - Stone Empire Fabrication - remains unknown). The original 2wk estimate for fabrication and installation is now at over 7wks and still not done. The originally planned installation date was a no show with no call or notice. Instead Stone Empire installers came the next day without scheduling it with me, never asking if I would be on site and available. I only knew they were coming because I had called them when they didn't show up and was told I was never scheduled for the date and that they would be out the next day. During the installation they removed an upper cabinet to make it easier to fit the countertop. This was not needed but it did make it easier to place. My complaint is that they didn't even try to rehang the cabinet after the countertop was in and everyone left except for 1 person who stayed behind to drill the sink faucet holes. This will cost me another day of both my contractor's and my time. My next complaint, the electrical outlet holes do not line up and need more grinding and adjustment. These outlets were in place before they came out for measurements to create the template. The electrical outlets are standard sized, nothing tricky. Once the quartzite was installed and I noticed the mistake, they told me they could not fix the it until after the glue dries since since grinding to fix the problem would would make too much dust which wouldn't be good for the wet glue. This means the extra grinding needed to fix the outlets has to wait and will involve another day of my time. Whether it was calling them to track my lost slab, to confirm installation dates, or the multiple calls regarding the instillation issues; contacting them has been like pulling teeth.... They don't call back despite claiming they will, they do not call or email updates, warnings for delays or issues. The front office, the fabrication team, and install team seem to have no communication with each other and just pass the buck along with no solutions or effort to correct things. In short - DO NOT USE STONE EMPIRE FABRICATION. Tez Marble, the store selling my quartzite has a great selection from which to choose. But between either Tez or Stone Empire losing my original slab and substituting a different one, and all the problems that followed; I recommend choosing a more reliable fabricator and tracking the sales person as they label your slab sold! read more

I needed a custom piece of stone to match a vanity for a shower project ASAP (bad planning on my part) so the tile guy could start. Taha at Stone Empire Fabrication was able to get me the pieces I needed with a perfect match out of their stock in under 24hrs. I came in at 3PM after trying a couple other shops and being turned away and I picked up the pieces the following afternoon! The pieces were true to the dimensions, polished appropriately, the payment was super easy online, pick up was easy, and the pieces were small enough they just gave me the material and only charged for labor. Amazing customer service, professionalism and quality. We recently used Stone Empire for the measurement, fabrication and installation of our kitchen countertops - this included a large island (single slab of engineered quartz) along with a few long countertop runs that included both inside and outside corners. Taha and his team provided excellent guidance throughout the entire process. Measurement was scheduled and completed quickly (by Antonio - great guy!) and we then had the option to visit the warehouse to decide how the slabs of quart would best matched against the layout to minimize joins and confirm cutouts, edges etc. Within a few weeks of measurement, the countertops had been cut and installation and fabrication was scheduled and completed. This was a smooth process and the end result looks great. We would 100% use Stone Empire again in the future and highly recommend them. read more

We purchased kitchen cabinets from Stone Empire for our remodel. We went in having somewhat of an idea of the color scheme, but not much else. The designer, Sally, was super helpful and responsive throughout the whole process from choosing colors, to measuring, ordering, and following up with minor finishing touches needed by our contractor. Sally provided various options, materials, and price ranges at each step and stayed in regular communication with us as we made decisions. Worked with Stone Empire (Taha and Team) to measure, fabricate and install quartzite counter tops with backsplashes and marble waterfall island. This team was great to work with -answered our many questions and were patient with us throughout the process. We know they were challenged a bit with walls that may not have been completely straight and we are happy with the outcome however there were somethings we think could have been done better. For example where two backsplashes meet in the corner we wish the gap was smaller. They placed seams in correct places which we appreciated. Our materials were very expensive and we were notified that the marble for the island did not come out right after they input the measurements into the computer . This was due to the fact that our marble had one side that was not straight. They were not happy with the result so they got a new piece of the same marble to make it right. Now that is truly service. Our island was custom and design was difficult but the end result is just stunning. We would absolutely recommend them again. We had a small IKEA "island" that we were looking to dress up to fit in with the rest of our kitchen. It was hard to find a place that had scraps that fit our aesthetic, but Stone Empire did! The process was so quick and easy. Sam invited us to stop by that very day, gave us tons of scrap options to choose from, and worked with us to fit our budget. The piece is stunning (photo doesn't do it justice!) and vamped up our IKEA creation even more than we expected! This company and staff are fabulous. Within a couple of days they had received our Granite from TEZ Marble in Oakland, came out and measured for the template, and they waited for our sink to arrive and cut the hole for the sink as soon as we delivered the sink to them.They brought it to our house the next day and installed the countertop. They knew we wanted the job done by Christmas and they continued to contact us to keep the job priority while they waited for our sink. It is a beautiful granite and they cut it in one solid piece to fit the corner sink. We couldn't be happier with the service and the employees that helped make this happen for our holiday season. We ordered bathroom cabinets from Samantha. We spoke with her in person 3 times to make sure she understood what speciations we needed for our cabinets. Ultimately when we received our cabinets they were not what we had asked for. Samatha had very limited knowledge of the product and unfortunately ordered the product with incorrect details. When we pointed out it was not what we wanted they said we could not get a refund on the fully paid cabinets and very rudely said they could not do help us. Sam, our sales rep, was great from start to finish. He was patient in answering all of our questions and walked us through every step of the process. They have some of the best fabricators and installers. On install day, one of the countertop pieces that connected to the waterfall was cut a little too long. This was realized after the countertop has been glued on. They came back a week later, brought in their master fabricator, Armando, who re-cut it onsite perfectly so that the waterfall transition is seamless. Also, living on a hill in SF, there's unevenness to our walls which meant that the matching backsplash would have a visible gap on one the side of the wall. Jose, their installer did an amazing job filling in that gap using some of the leftover stone. Their templating and vein matching of the Calacatta Nuvo Ceasarstone was truly a work of art. --one would never guess that 3 slabs were used. The seams are almost invisible. We would've of course preferred fewer seams, but because of our tight stairway it was impossible. I love how they just made everything work. They're probably our best experience with our entire kitchen/living renovation project. We will go back to them in a heartbeat for any future stone projects--highly recommend! read more

After doing hours of research and getting bids from across the bay, I ended up picking Stone Empire to do the fabrication and installation of my quartzite kitchen counters. From start to end, the customer service I received was more then phenomenal.  I was given an accurate timeline for my project's completion from day one which allowed me to accurately allocate schedules for other work to be done around the house. This was something not many other companies were willing to offer. When their template guy came to the job site to take measurements, he was very kind and explained every little detail and made sure that we had full customization of how we wanted our counters to look. He also did an excellent job explaining where we needed to have our contractor do additional work to make sure that the stone seats in perfectly. The day after the templates were taken, they invited me into their amazing showroom and warehouse to do an in-person template layout on my stone. They informed me that this process was very crucial as it would be the final design before the cutting of the stone. I could tell that they were very knowledgeable and helped me design the layout of my kitchen, adhering to both my desires and the constraints that they had with making sure everything fit into the stone.  After the templating process, their office team did an amazing job keeping up with my project and making sure that our timelines matched for the installation. While other companies said that the process takes 2-3 weeks, Stone Empire was able to do it in a week and a half! While the installation did take the whole day, I was very happy with how detail oriented the team was and they made sure that everything was done perfectly before leaving. We couldn't be happier making the decision for them to fabricate our island. We do remodeling for custom houses and new constructions.
