We had a slight misunderstanding (on my part) on day 1, but the installation team worked with me to get the project back on track. Despite my not being on site during the job, they did a great job. The work was great. They cleaned up like they had never been there, and the attention to detail (corner work, alignment of seams, etc) was exceptional. Very respectful of the house as well. In the store, Randi did a great job in helping me spec out what I needed and my options. I will say that I had a competitive bid, and USST was about 10% less... but it wasn't just price. Joanna Liang at US Superior Stone & Tile is the bomb. When you go into the big showroom / warehouse type building, search her out. From the jump she made my wife and me feel welcomed. No question was left unanswered. We were never made to feel like only our money counted. They have quite a number of kitchen displays. We went with semi-custom cabinets that that had doors and drawer fronts that were solid wood stained and finished in a beautiful natural wood look, a basic shaker style. The drawers were dove-tailed construction and the cabinet bodies were of a wood ply, not particleboard. We chose the self-closing feature. The cabinets are manufactured in Malaysia but they keep such a large supply of every size that the order turnaround time was only two weeks. We had a total of 60 or so emails. Each one of our questions was carefully ready, carefully researched, and answered in a friendly manner. Their prices compared to the major showrooms in the Oakland / San Leandro area were so amazing that we had to check if there were any catches. There weren't. What Joanna at US Superior Stone & Tile offered was the real thing. We came in with floor plans drawn up by a designer for our remodeling project and when the kitchen reached its sheet rocked stage, we could verify whether the overall length of the cabinets was correct after our contractor told us where the sink had to be centered. Joanna worked very fast and paid a lot of attention to details. If a cabinet had to be modified to fit a certain space, we were told upfront how much the modification would cost. For example we wanted to use a bigger sink in our half-bath so we ordered a kitchen-depth base cabinet instead of a vanity cabinet. We added a pull-out drawer underneath the sink. We also gave specific directions on how we wanted the pull-out drawers and shelves to be arranged in our floor-to-ceiling pantries. We are so happy with them. They also had a wide variety of stainless steel sinks available in their showroom, some that were on sale. We chose a thicker gauge one that had ledges along the front and back for cutting boards and drying racks. This was offered at a great price. They have a variety of granite and quartz countertops although we chose to get ours at a different vendor because we were looking for a different look. We did end up buying glass tile with a wonderful wave pattern to use for our backsplash walls between the wall cabinets and the countertop. We purchase our 4 inch pulls for very low prices on Amazon. This was the most wonderful experience of our 6 month remodeling project. Make sure you include this company in your comparisons. Go see Joanna at US Superior Stone & Tile. I came here looking for a kitchen island. Good place to get ideas and have a lot of different setup to give you examples from colors to textures to countertops to cabinets. They also sell a limited selections of good overhead ranges. There were clearance items during my visit located towards the back of the showroom, some were already built so you could carry them out. Just a heads up, the only drawback was I could not get anyone to help me, even after roaming their showroom close to an hour and waiting at their service area for a representative so I just left. Shopped for cabinets throughout the east bay trying to find the most economical price I could find for white shaker cabinets. Went to 3 different stores in Hayward and I felt the prices were too high. A family member recommended to contact Superior for an estimate and it was well worth it. Superior was by far the best price I could find. Robert was able to help me adjust the design because the person that drew my original design didn't do it correctly. A decent cabinet and granite company. If you're not a DIY'er, this really isn't the place for the front of heart. I've used this company for seven years and each time the experience is similar but a little different. To keep the review simple, go in with your plan. Know your area layout, placement of doors, windows, appliances and sinks and ceiling heights so they can help you layout your new dream. The quality of the cabinets are good. No pressed fiberboard (MDF), but good quality hardwood doors and hardwood laminated to quality veneer backing boards. The drawers and cabinets are slow close. Make sure you have a few choices of the cabinet styles so you can ensure they have what you need in stock. The same with the granite as they have a lot of choices. Their design help is great, but the warehouse is a bit slow. So hold your breath if you're expecting quick service. Additionally, their granite installers are great, quick and professional. I found just what I wanted at two places, but chose Superior because of the amazing customer service (and care) we received from Joanna, who really went out on a limb to prepare several estimates and helped me navigate all questions about prep/installation/cutting to fit our unusual kitchen counter layout. She was friendly, helpful, offered suggestions and never made me feel like I was a nuisance with so many concerns and questions. I didn't pick this place, my contractor did. They were somewhat helpful when the first time served us; the young gentleman who explained the products to us looked like he was falling asleep and wanted to go home. After we paid, they were beginning to ask for more, something like they miscalculated the size and needed more money to cover more products, or discharged and needed more money, etc. I wasn't quite happy with their service. They also delivered the wrong size of my toilet seat cover, it was their fault, but they asked me to drive from South Bay all the way to their store in East/North Bay to exchange it; it took me 2.5hrs to do with traffic and I had to request some times off from work to do this. I have used US Superior Stone quite a few times, as I'm a Relator and often recommend to my sellers that they do some updating prior to listing their homes. I have always been well taken care of, and their pricing is terrific! But when I was there yesterday, Candy was the salesperson who helped me. She was amazing... knowledgeable, kind, efficient, and listened to what I wanted/needed. She was determined to help me find what I was looking for. She worked with the gentlemen in the warehouse, and when they were ready to give up finding what we were looking for, she persisted. And we finally found it! She herself is worth 5 Stars! My property management company has recently started using them for our granite countertops and bathroom vanities. They have an okay selection of granite to choose from, if you're not too particular. All the bathroom vanities are sitting out in their showroom, so you know what you're getting. Their prices are much lower than the big-box stores and other granite companies in the area. Also, our maintenance/handymen find they're overall "good people" and we love how fast they cut the granite. We unfortunately had to get new kitchen cabinets for an apartment once, so we decided to get them from this company. The order wasn't right the first time, which was a hassle. So if you're a property management company with maintenance employees this is a real gem! If you're a home-owner wanting granite countertops or a bathroom vanity, looking for a good deal, and you're working with a contractor, this is a good place to consider. read more

Absolutely horrible place. Worst service possible! The place is bare bone and dirty but whatever. After I finished looking at the showroom, I walked up to this woman behind the counter and said hello. She completely ignored me. Her coworker walked up to her, took a glance at me, they talked for a little, and ignored me too. I was patient and assumed she just needed to finish whatever she's doing (although I don't really believe that's an excuse). This store, an offshoot of their Oakland store, has a better showroom of all their kitchen/bath stuff...cabinets, tiles, sinks, granite, vanities, etc. Their selection is decent and their pricing is very good. I almost went with cabinets from here, but found a nicer style down the street at KWW. Staff does seem to be a little unorganized, but I don't go in expecting much at these Asian establishments...that's just the way it is. I did buy some travertine tile, which they in turn, send you over to one of their distributors (Tez Marble) that used to be located down the street from them as well. I paid almost $2.50 less per SF from Superior vs buying directly from Tez in 2006; in 2009, I had to buy some more of the same travertine tile for the bathroom floor and found the price to be the same as it was then. What I mean, once you place an order you are the one who needs to get on their butt weekly and make sure everything is ready for pickup.! Ok, we did not buy our cabinets here (See KWW) but we bought our granite counter tops here. They have a decent selection and the prices are very very good. A 114 inch counter was $69 for instance. You can have them cut the slab to size or for nothing more you can have it installed. We needed counter tops 165 miles away and they did not charge us anything extra! What a deal and above all, the installation was professionally done to our full satisfaction. Each slab installs for $250 and a sink hole cut to size in front of your house is another $250. So, buy your granite (or tile) here! read more

We used this place during a bathroom remodel, the vanity we chose was nice and the price was right ... and they told us we could pick it up in the back with our truck only to find out they didn't have it in stock after all. After that, it was a several week wait and we had to keep calling them to find out the status of our order. Finally when we did go to pick it up, we found a ding and refused it, and the employee seemed annoyed that we noticed the ding. It's a nice vanity, but not worth all the trouble to get it. read more

Hi I was looking for quartz counter tops ( high end product ) I received quotes from three businesses they ranged from $20k to $7k, these guy came in low and could be installed in two weeks. The estimator came out in two day after visiting the store and in two week the installers came out worked all day ( cutting everything from full sheet on site ) and completed the job. I was and still am one year later very happy I chose ose them. PS. The only reason I am writing this review is I was search the company to install full sheet of quart in our shower and notice the bad reviews. Gave them a set of measurements for countertops. Ordered, paid and date was set for install. However, after all was said and done they later let us know countertops would be a little bigger so we figured we would try it out to see what it looks like. The lady I spoke with said it would save them work by not cutting it down. But mind you, they knew what measurements we needed and paid for the smaller countertops so if it was too big, which it was, I would think there would be no problem in getting the size we first ordered. Charged an additional $350, which makes no sense because they would have had to cut it down in the first place if we didn't agree to having it bigger and helping them out by saving some of their time. So, if they were having us pay that extra money, they better believe that I wanted it close to perfect. The contractor was extremely rude and from the beginning he was trying to cut corners. He thought it would be okay if one side of the counter where the stove goes could hang over more than the other side causing one side to have a larger gap. Also, I could feel the edges were not straight. I could feel dips and bumps going across. At a point he didn't even want to try and fix it and threatened to tear all of the countertops out. Really unprofessional so I had to call the company and someone on the other end told him he had to fix it. What is more unprofessional was that they were speaking in their language (Chinese?) and you could tell he wasn't saying kind things by his tone. read more

I recently bought granite and had them install it. They have a decent showroom in San Leandro with a wide variety of Granite. My counter top area are a U shape so I brought in measurements to include back splash, and they gave me a deal no other granite dealer could beat. It took 4 slabs of granite and they installed it in less than 3 hrs.Furthermore, they applied a bullnose edge which and polished it all up on the spot. Their product selection and prices are good, and I would come back. The loss of stars stem from the varying levels of customer service both in the showroom and the warehouse. The show room sales staff is not overly welcoming. Of all the times I have been in there, they have never greeted me or asked if I needed help. Not a big deal, I kinda expect that from Asian owned places. Try to work with Candy if you can, she is probably the most knowledgeable and helpful person there. There is one warehouse worker that is just blatantly rude and condescending. I was picking out a piece of marble that I had already paid for, and him and another worker were pulling the pieces out for me and my wife to inspect prior to selecting it. About a few pieces into the process, he gets an attitude and said maybe we should just pick out some other type of stone since we don't like any of the ones they pulled out. Who is he to tell me what kind of stone I should get? And why should I rush to pick a piece just because he does not want to do his job? On top of that, he was speaking Spanish to the other worker and was disparaging me and my wife. My wife knows some Spanish and we were not happy. We stopped and went to tell his supervisor but all she said was the owners know about it and there is nothing they can do. I did not expect 5 star service but this was not acceptable behavior from that warehouse worker. We found out his name is Diego, the other warehouse worker was nice. Overall, I would say this place is ok as long as you don't have great expectations from the service level. When I went shopping, I saw some very nice wood. When the wood was picked up, the wood was not very high quality. It even cut my hand when I was handling it as the wood was not smooth. I called so many many times but they have never called me back. They did respond one time saying they will repolish the wood if we bring it back but they never responded again. The wood is also all offcolor. The granite is really expensive and not high quality. I chose a golden color but most of it is black. They said they would give me 50 percent off but it turned out to be only 30. Never get your materials here! It is a ripoff read more

We came to buy tile flooring and AFTER we paid for the tiles (NO RETURNS AND NO REFUNDS) we saw that they were stored outside in the rain!!!! Many of the tiles were cracked and chipped, the colors were off, it was so unorganized and chaotic, the salesperson even ran away bc it got so awkward. We used less than half of the purchased tiles bc the quality was so, so bad. Some tiles were the wrong style! I was in shock that a business could sell such terrible product. Update- After returning my damaged cabinets and getting a refund, I made some changes and re-bought basically the same set up and design as before. The terms of this second chance was that they would assemble the cabinets and set them aside in the warehouse so I could come physically inspect them prior to them leaving the building. Not only were they not ready when they said they would be, but it was 3 days later that they were actually ready for me to check out. Once I got there and looked at them, I saw small imperfections and damage to these ones too. I had them swap out the doors that had problems and touch up the sides so they looked nice. After taking all the cabinets back to my house and having my own personal contractor install them, we discovered that when the office put my new order in the young man input the sizes incorrectly into the computer which meant I got smaller cabinets than I wanted. 1 week later Countertop and spice cabinet (which needed to be modified to fit) were delivered and installed today. First problem was that even though I had scheduled him to come at 2 pm and required they call before coming over the contractor decided he would show up at my door at 830 AM. I had to leave work immediately to come home so he wouldn't leave. Second problem was that they brought the wrong countertop but I didn't notice it until after they installed it and I had signed for it because the difference between the one I picked out and the one they brought was small. I will say that even though communicating with the contractor is extremely difficult, he did a good job at cutting the countertop and installing it with the undermount sink. He also did a good job modifying the spice cabinet and installing that in the wall. The communication, professionalism and organization of this company is pure dog shit ( I would label them incompetant) but the actual labor is satisfactory. read more

Horrible experience today. I was told to come here because they have competitive prices and I needed to settle on a bathroom vanity that didn't further break my already shatter wallet. I came in at 4:30pm to look at a bathroom vanity. Upon entrance I wasn't greeted by anyone even though there were 3 ladies behind the counter. I looked around at the vanity/vanity cabinets that they had on display and they all looked alike. I was hoping to find a specific one if they had it but was willing to settle with a basic one to save cost. I had to approach the ladies at the counter because they clearly weren't going to ask me if I needed help. I asked for the vanity style I wanted and she said "no". I wasn't sure what she meant by no because she answered before I finished my question. Then she said she couldn't hear me and for me to come closer to her. I wanted a vanity with a real top drawer not a faux one. She looked at me like I was stupid and said that's impossible and that I cant have a top drawer on a bathroom vanity. Correction! Yes you can . Regardless, they didn't have it so I asked her are these the only designs they have and if there's a pamphlet with pricing that I can look at and she said "no". So there's no price list or guide... how do I know what I'm paying? She doesn't answer and I stand there waiting for some assistance as to how to browse there store... and she looks up at me and says "ok what do you want now?" I ask how I'm suppose to know what everything cost and she tells me that I have to pick what I like and then she'll go into the computer and get me the quote. So basically i had to ask about every cabinet and vanity top to see how much everything was... and then she tells me she can't give me quotes because the computer system is down. I ask to know a rough price range and that I just want the simplest cheapest 36" vanity cabinet with the cheapest white sink top. And once again she couldn't give me one. She kept asking which one I wanted and if that's for sure the one, then I get a quote. It felt like I had to be definite with my choice even though I don't know how much it was.
