My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and we loved it. It's small-only 3 available bedrooms, in a beautiful house that Lisa and her husband live in. We stayed in the 'Ocean Air Suite.' The rooftop patio wasn't open, but it was a beautiful room, and was nice to have our own bathroom. They don't offer a full breakfast, but they have coffee and tea and muffins in one of the rooms downstairs. Lisa is friendly, hilarious, and very helpful with suggestions/information on what to do in Gloucester, but still gives you enough space to do your own thing. It's about a 15 min. walk to downtown/Main St, and it's a nice walk along the water (lined with millions of American flags, which is pretty hilarious; or maybe pretty and hilarious). It is right along whatever that main road is, which has pretty heavy traffic in the summer (lots of loud motorcycles), so it was a bit loud at times-though we had our windows open the whole time to get the full 'ocean air' effect.

I would not recommend staying at this house, she is very disrespectful to her tenants especially when they are 20-30s aged. She has entered rooms without asking, she set up baby monitors that record audio and visual in public spaces, calls/texts frequently with passive aggressive messages for example she called me on my way back from work to say that my (115lbs) footsteps were too loud on the baby monitors, she eliminated use of the kitchen for everyone in the house halfway through my stay, she refused to return my security deposit, she drinks/eats people's food/beverages, and many other things. Meanwhile many of the rooms were not up to standard, I was on the second floor and when people in the third floor would shower it would rain down in my bathroom from the light. Other rooms suffered water damage/were leaking. Please do not stay in this house!

Turns out it doesn't when you're surrounded by that many of them. We saw more whales than I could count, and I learned far more than I'll ever be able to remember. Our guide, Tina, has over 30 years of experience, and it shows. She wasn't just rattling off facts from a script. She was genuinely passionate, engaging, and had a way of making every sighting feel like the most exciting one of the day. I talked with her for a minute after the tour, and she was every bit as genuine off the microphone as she was on it. You could tell she sincerely appreciated everyone who came out. The trip ran a little over three hours, and I never once found myself checking the time. Between the whales, the scenery, and Tina's commentary, the whole experience kept my attention from beginning to end. One thing I wasn't expecting was the gift shop. Usually places like this charge "you're already here" prices, but everything was surprisingly reasonable, and there was a good variety for kids and adults alike. If you're anywhere near Gloucester and even remotely considering a whale watch, stop considering it and just book the trip. I called Boston Executive Limo Services and they were able to accommodate my less than 48 hour request. Everything worked as it was supposed to: I got follow up email confirmation, had a text from my driver when I landed and he was right there with the car when I arrived, even with my flight being 20mins early.
