I really wanted to rate this place higher and if this was solely a sandwich shop, then it could be a 4-star. But based off overall items ordered, the 3-star is justified. My wife and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, BALT (bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato) sandwich, along with a kolache, and cinnamon toast. The sandwiches were fair, though at the price point, they should provide more filling for a more boutique sandwich shop. However their non-sandwich items leave much to be desired. The kolache was a pigs in a blanket and for a more higher end shop, I expected it be elevated, but falls in line to something you would receive from a random house party. The sausage didn't have that burst of flavor or snap you would expect and the bread used to wrap it was bland. According to the menu, their cinnamon toast comes with their sprinkled streusel. According to google, a streusel is: "a crumbly topping of flour, butter, and sugar that is baked on top of muffins, breads, pies, and cakes." That's what I know to be a streusel but literally all you got was a cinnamon dust sprinkled on top of toast. Saying that there is streusel is very misleading and I was thoroughly disappointed. Overall if you stick to the sandwiches and stop in to purchase their bread, which can also be purchased from some local wal marts, you should be fine. But in the Bentonville area, there are other establishments that could better satisfy you. read more

Awful experience. After ordering at 10:14, food was finally delivered to my table at 10:48. We each ordered a BLT with no alterations. After walking up to the ticket counter to inquire about the 30 minute wait at that time, I was told ours was being made right then and still had to wait 5 more minutes for two simple sandwiches. No manager talk, no apology, no attempt to right the wrong of the longest wait for a sandwich known to mankind. I wish I could give customer service as a zero star. It's also unnerving that a tip is on the register as you pay before you get your food. Mind you I gave 10% for the delivery to the table but that service deserved no more than a quarter. This place is order at the counter and take a seat. Which is fine. But...1st order: biscuits and gravy, 1 scrambled egg and bacon. 2nd order : breakfast burrito. The biscuits and gravy came out within 5 minutes but the egg and bacon and burrito came out 10-15 minutes later. The egg and the bacon were cold. I try not to eat a ton of bread but when I do and decide to eat at this place, I always get the Basil Pesto Sandwich. It is so good. You can get a sandwich, chips, and cookie for under $10. I've only eaten here for lunch and it's usually pretty crowded. The lunch crowd can be a lot and can slow down your food if you're ordering to-go. The only thing I'd like to see is if we can get to choose from the kind of chips and cookie that comes with the sandwich. Other than that, everything else is good and worth a visit. read more

Never one to leave a review like this, but came for the first time on my lunch break. It was like pulling teeth to have the worker check the ingredients in the bread for me (which she also got wrong) She gave me the wrong chips and my sandwich was completely wrong. My sandwich came out with 2 slices of deli meat and a piece of bacon, disorganized and missing every vegetable that was listed in the menu. The ingredient I couldn't eat was in the soup I ordered, which was never disclosed as well. I realized after opening the soup lid and having to call the cafe. The cinnamon roll was dry also. When I crave a Reuben, I choose Stone Mill. The rye bread is always great, they don't skimp on the sandwich meat, and the thousand island is sensational. So based on the reviews we decided to give it a try. Parking is a bit of a challenge as there are only a half dozen or so spots in the front of the building and the rest are around back. The prices are not clear on the menu so when you order you do not have all the information needed to make the decision. I paid almost $10 for a cold club sandwich which was not all that great. The light wheat bread was very dense and nothing special. The bacon on the club was a few very thin strips of what appeared to be Oscar Meyer microwave bacon and did not have a presence with the 2 slices of cheese 1 cheddar and 1 Swiss. They turkey and ham were tasty. They give you a cookie with the sandwich. And for being a bakery I truly had higher expectations of the cookie. I was pleased with the drink selection. They serve Pepsi products which I love. And they had a nice assortment of sweetened and non-sweetened teas and lemonade. The Yelp app offers you a free 20oz fountain soda but I did not discover u til after we had already paid. And unfortunately will not return to redeem it. read more

I don't know if I got the full experience or not with COVID-19 and all but here is my review I ordered takeout a few days ago A Reuben sandwich and the tomato soup The Reuben sandwich was delicious but a little light on product it could really use some more meat and sauerkraut i've never been a huge fan of tomato soup but the fire roasted tomato soup here was delicious. I was having a mother daughter day with my mom and we thought we'd try Stone Mill Cafe for the first time. We both ordered a sandwich and soup combo. I customize my sandwich and had chicken and dumplings. They were both great. The surprise cookie that came with the meal was delicious too. My mom ordered the chicken supreme sandwich ( I think that's what it's called) and was not impressed. It did not come with lettuce or tomato, at least it wasn't offered. So it looked like a chicken pate on bread ( not appealing to the eye). Maybe we'll come back to try something else and ask more questions when ordering. read more

I was so excited when this opened up because I love a good sandwich place! When I first moved to NWA almost 3 years ago there were truly no good sandwich places (jimmy johns and subway don't count, I'm talking high-quality non-chain restaurants). Bentonville has a few good places now, woohoo! I have only been here for lunch and have loved everything I have tried. The ingredients taste so fresh and of high quality. Also - the cookies are delicious!! Customer service has been great. I went during a super busy lunch hour, so it took a while for the line to move, but it was worth the wait. Cajun Special sandwich Cup of Chicken & Dumplings with a Small Spring Greens Salad Two Turkey & Cheddar Sandwiches (kids meals) It doesn't seem like anything is actually baked here. No fresh bread smell when you walk in. They told us the cookies are baked somewhere else. In short, we could've gone to Jason's Deli and spent less money and had the same sort of experience. I had heard excellent things about Stone Mill Cafe, and had been wanting to check it out since they opened. I finally got a chance. It was Saturday, right at noon. They did not disappoint. The staff were super friendly. The General Mgr was very helpful in helping us decide what to order. The owner introduced himself, and was very hospitable. The restaurant was impeccably clean, and the overall atmosphere was great. I ordered a cup of fire roasted tomato soup, and half a sandwich... bacon, lettuce, tomato and, sliced avocado. Hands down the best sandwich I've ever ate. Although it was a half sandwich, it was as big as most full sandwiches. The tomato soup was...well, amazing! And the prices are great as well. I was excited that we were getting one up in Bentonville. It made me nervous to never see a bunch of cars for breakfast. I went in and the menu was very limited. Service was great, everyone is nice and helpful. The food and drink bar made it feel very "Continental Breakfast" from a hotel. We really need some more sit down breakfast places in town. With one that opened and has a consistent 2 hour wait, Stone Mill needs to expand their menu like Fayetteville. Food was nothing special, omelette was just folded over eggs with ingredients in it. So, we ate here Friday for lunch and the food was good, service ok. On Saturday, we decided to return. We arrived at 4:30, they close at 5. We were going to get gelato to go...nope. After standing there, for a good 10 minutes, waiting to be acknowledged, and getting annoyed looks from 2 of the 4 workers, we were told they already put the gelato up. If you are going to run a business, honor your hours. If you want to close earlier than the stated closing time, then change your hours. Had been to the Fayetteville location recently and it was very good, so tried the Bentonville store again the other day. Not the friendliest bunch, but we got our orders in and eventually received our meals. I had specifically ordered my AVOCADO BLT sandwich on the jalapeño cheese bread. Where was the jalapeño in that cheese bread? Zero flavor. Won't be taking loaves home after all. The sandwich was flat and thin. There was a piece of tomato sliced so thin I could read through it, and a teaspoon of avocado under a tiny mound of lettuce. The bacon was fit for a Barbie doll. With this $11 sandwich I got a pasty oatmeal flavored flour cookie and a bag of chips. -- skip the cookie, skip the chips--give me some veggies in my sandwich. Kudos for the variety at the beverage bar, and extra points for the diet Dr. Pepper. The whole concept of your store is great. I'll give it another try in a few months. read more

The sandwich had approximately 1 1/2 slices of turkey, served on soggy bread. The ham and bean soup had zero flavor, and the oatmeal cookie tasted just like plain oatmeal.
