It was the first camp where he felt his counselors, Mr. F.M. and Master Splinter, genuinely cared about the campers. He said the food was fantastic, the children were kind, and he loved earning points for tribe wars. These are truly some of the most wonderful people that I've ever met in my life. Awesome place for kids and families. There is a feeling of safety and security here. Our kids got along with every kid. That's extremely rare under any circumstance. Family camp was just terrific! I even danced and I NEVER dance. Plenty of activity options, delicious food, polite, professional and attentive staff. This place is like heaven on earth. It's obvious that everyone here really cares. Above and beyond customer service. We can't thank RVR enough for making this such a memorable moment in our lives! Our assigned assistant C.J. Harrison really rocks!! We were made to feel welcome and right at home. This place is truly unbelievable!! I can't say it enough..... The only issue for us was that two days was not enough....we need a three day weekend or a week!

The family friendliness is gone. The daycare is gone. The daytime weekly mom's on the mountain is gone. Even the plugs for crockpots are gone. Can you believe even the complimentary check-in for skis is gone It's all corporate. It's all Vail. Yes, your epic pass will work. The mountain hasn't changed. But the people and the vibe that used to make Roundtop a special place for families is nowhere to be seen. A special note to anyone from Vail, who happens to read this. There is is a family of five skiers that grew up at Roundtop because I brought them there. The mothers were able to ski during the week with the babies and toddlers. There was daycare for the babies and toddlers. There were plugs for the crockpot for the lunches downstairs. It's all gone. The only thing left is the purchase price and share value of the corporation. Where do you expect the next generation of skiers to come from?

It was not too crowded and the guests were orderly (which is not always the case). Food is okay. I recommend getting your tickets online in advance! As someone who has never climbed before, I had a really positive first time at Climb Nittany. I…read morehave quite a few friends from school/work who climb multiple times a week, one with a membership who offered to take me and show me the ropes (pun intended). Since I'm not the bravest soul, I didn't really do much research into climbing before I went for fear it would turn me off and I would chicken out, so I really went into it without much of an idea for how it would go. The staff got me checked in, and I had to watch a safety video in order to sign their waiver. I think you can technically watch it before you show up there and sign the waiver ahead of time, but I didn't do that so I spent a few minutes sitting down to go through that. Once I got that figured out l, they had me do a brief 15-20 min training on using their auto-belay system (so you can climb and be belayed without needing a friend to hold the ropes for you). The training was thorough and the guy (I think maybe the owner) doing it was nice and reassuring. As I said earlier, I have been in an introverted funk not trying new stuff so this was big and scary for me, haha! After I finished the training and check-in with rental gear, I tried some of the bouldering routes and then did two tall climbs. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be, but I think that's partly because I thought I would be terrible and embarrass myself. But they have lots of options for easy routes (green is the easiest!) and there are people of all skill levels in the gym so if you take a break you can usually still learn just by watching others around you. On a more technical note, the building itself was super clean, the rental gear all seemed clean and well maintained, and the staff were super friendly and definitely made me feel welcome as a newcomer to the sport. There's a small "normal" gym in the corner with a few pieces of equipment like an exercise bike, too, for warming up or cooling down. A few final thoughts- I am definitely going back! Climbing is a pretty cool sport and a great workout. Plus it's pretty social, and after the year(s) we've had lately, social activities are especially nice. I also kept thinking how cool it was so many kids go there to climb, and how it would be awesome to have a birthday party there with friends (regardless of age!). Their prices are a little high but it definitely gets cheaper if you lump together (I.e. the 10 visit pass or a monthly membership are cheaper per visit than a single day pass), so keep that in mind.

This ended up being a super fun stop for us when we had some time to kill in State College. I…read morevisited with my two daughters aged 12 and 10. I thought the prices were very fair. We got free rentals because we were first time customers. Our belay instructor was very sweet and patient with us. It didn't take too long for us to train so we could go up. There were enough climbs to make it interesting and we didn't have to wait even once. The best part for me was how clean it was. Not always the case with climbing gyms and always a nice surprise!

The school is extremely clean and welcoming by every teacher we have encountered. The Goddard School programming in general has a good reputation, however the staff currently implementing the programming at this school are absolutely excellent. We have to say the development of our child has improved drastically - that includes physical development, emotional development, and milestone development. It appears most teachers intermingle with all classes and our child is very familiar with all staff - you can see that at drop off and pick up as they always address our child by name. I would also like to touch on the ongoing confidence boost the current teachers are giving my child. They really interact and get to know the children and it really makes such a difference. Our child loves going in there. The hours are absolutely convenient for us which is not something we had before. The benefit of when my husband travels is that I don't have to leave work early to pick our child up and we can use that extra time. We do need to pack breakfast (unless you have time to give this at home) and lunch - which in the grand scheme is really fine with me now. It was a learning curve at first, but it gives me the opportunity to nutritionally decide what I will send in. Sometimes when other daycares are funded, the food is mass produced - and kind of gross. The school provides two snacks a day - this is very helpful! From our experience, you really get what you pay for. Here we see that we have made an investment in our child's future (even though still very young). We have another child on the way and could not imagine not enrolling our newest in this program. Like I said - the program is great - but the teachers hired really make it for us. We would 10/10 recommend this school.

We have been extremely impressed with the curriculum, staff and how they are preparing our son for kindergarten. We would highly recommend Goddard Carlisle to anyone.
