It was difficult finding a granite repair source because the sources I found and called or messaged didn't return my phone call. I waited a few weeks and tried again and finally got in touch with Manuel at Stone Polish. We settled on a date and I confirmed the day earlier to make sure he was still coming. He messaged me back quickly and the next day he showed up 20 minutes early. We discussed the situation and the process for repairing the granite behind the sink. About two hours later he was finished. It's significantly better than what it was. There were a number of granite chunks and pieces that were loose plus, some of the metal reinforcement was so bad, it had disintegrated. Manuel reused some of the larger pieces and used epoxy to blend in some of the other areas. All in all, we're very happy with the outcome. I had two fairly significant cracks in my kitchen granite counter, one behind the sink and one near the front edge on the left. I had gotten a quote a couple weeks earlier from another company, their price was very high. Manuel asked me to send him some pictures of the cracks, which I did, and he gave me a much lower quote. He explained that the fix would not look perfect,, but that he could fill in both cracks to get my sink looking about 90% as good as it looked before. He also told me that he could redo the silicone seal around the sink and backsplash behind it. Three days later, Manuel came out with an associate and did exactly what he promised. I highly recommend this business! We had a hugh crack in our granite counter top behind the kitchen faucet. Every contractor that we consulted wanted to replace the counter tops in the entire kitchen because the granite was old and matching would be a problem. Light bulb moment!
