We just finished refacing a large kitchen with 39 year old oak cabinets …read more We found Better than new Kitchens just by internet shopping and posted reviews . When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . The work crew was professional , skilled craftsmen that figured out every little corner and angle to perfection . I am amazed at the quality of work . The transformation is stunning . My adult daughter just saw the new kitchen today for the first time and was so impressed she thought it was all new boxes from the ground up ! We recommend better than new Kitchens 100 % for refacing .They are an honest local company that delivers on their project promise.

We are so thrilled with our new kitchen from Better Than New Kitchens! After providing photos and…read moredimensions of our cabinets and drawers, we received an email estimate. Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. But we feel that the finished product, the quality of the materials used, and the professionalism and skill of the team were worth what we paid. We really couldn't be any happier with Better Than New Kitchens, and we LOVE our new kitchen. I'd highly recommend working with this company!

This was an awesomely positive experience, which is unfortunately rare these days…read more Sunset provided a quote by email, after I provided words and pictures to describe what we were looking for. Their guys showed up on time. They were courteous. They were respectful of us, and respectful of our home. They asked for our input when they got to a part that required some judgement. They performed mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. All done nearly to perfection. And they passed the acid test; after they left, I noticed two small things which I thought could have done better. They returned immediately and made these right. And they sent an invoice almost a week later (giving us an opportunity to discover any other issues, which we did NOT), and the invoice was for the exact amount of the estimate. They accepted my credit card payment over the phone. Our job was a small one, but they have definitely encouraged us to contact them again for our next job - small or large. Exceptionally excellent experience.

I cannot stress the relief my husband and I felt when Mark said Sunset Tile and Bath have a roofer. The gentleman's name, also Mark (I'll refer to as roofer Mark) was as competent, meticulous and professional as every other member we have encountered through Sunset Tile and Bath. Roofer Mark assessed, photographed and answered questions regarding our roof needs. Roofer Mark completed everything a week before our heavy rains occurred. His cleanup was remarkable---I found 2 nails---that's it! My husband and I are grateful to have a company that takes pride in their professions. Many thanks to Roofer Mark and his crew---and to Sunset Tile and Bath. Maureen M

From start to finish, Brian and the team at Diamond have been an absolute pleasure to work with. As all jobs, there were a few hiccups but the team at Diamond rectified the issues fast and we were well taken care of. The delivery guys were awesome as well as the installers. We highly recommend seeing Brian and using Diamond. Thank You All!

we ordered new kitchen cabinets through the Gilbert location. Cabinets were order in November 2025…read moreand scheduled for installation the week of January 19 - 23, 2026. We were told it would only take these five days to install the cabinets. Countertop measurements took place at end of January and countertop installation took place on February 18th. As of today, March 16th, the installation is still not complete and finished. DKB was last out on March 2nd and only completed most of the cabinetry related items and has yet to install some under countertop lighting, and install surfacing on the bottom side of some upper cabinets. Our project would only be this far if not for our constant follow up and phone calls. We were promised our concerns would be addressed back in February by a upper manager of DKB when they didn't schedule sufficient time for our installation the first time around. It is now two months this week since the one week when all work was supposed to be complete. Still over $1,000.00 in paid for work to be complete and no phone call or follow up by DKB to complete our improvements to our satisfaction. This whole process has been a bit frustrating and disappointing. We were not informed that the countertop installer and plumber are two different subcontractors. Our Designer was not experienced with cabinet lighting and electrical rough in needs and requirements. Unable to assist with any type of coordination efforts when requested to make sure power sources were prepared and ready. it wasn't until after the cabinets were installed and countertop measured that we learned our selected countertop as it turned out is not available in the size needed without additional joints in the slab. This caused more delays to our schedule. Had the limitations of the countertop material been discussed at time of design back in November, the design could have been changed. Again, just another example of inexperience we had to learn the hard way. Still no telling if or when our new cabinetry will be complete.

4.5 stars Great Work - Poor Timing…read more Small master bath and powder room remodel I knew what the cost was upfront. As my job was discussed and created, work items were listed and priced individually. When I added and removed items they displayed appropriately as a refund credit or additional charge immediately. The time frame proposed in the beginning was a guess-estimate I understand because one has to dig into a project to truly see what it will take. But no, my rooms were not completed in a timely manner. Schedules were pushed out, but I will state that there were a few times I was contacted and offered someone to come over to complete a trade earlier than scheduled. I made sure to have most of the needed materials already at my home so there would be no time issues when on site. (I purchased some items independently). Honestly, the time sucked. The various tradesmen were polite and knowledgeable. The men prepped my home's entryway and paths to each workroom protecting all surfaces. I had no debris left or scuffed flooring. They showed up, completed their job and left my home clean. Holtzman's web portal was easy for me to access and use. All details about my project were available to be viewed at any time. I communicated with customer service, my appointed designer, and my supervisor through emails, phone calls, in person and texts. The sales rep was very difficult to reach once my project contract was signed, but my supervisor, Will Stubblefield, supported me through every question I had throughout the whole process. His time and work was genuine and appreciated. He made sure that each phase of the project was completed to my satisfaction and when the schedule was ridiculously pushed back, he stepped in on a couple weekends and completed some work himself. Will responded to each of my questions patiently as I had many being this my first project. If I have more projects, I will request Will to manage it. He secured my confidence that Holtzman Home Improvement would complete the job and have it done well.

An absolute nightmare experience for what should have been a simple kitchen cabinet and kitchen…read moreappliance project. The Holtzman salesperson will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign, and then (eventually) when the project starts, you'll hear something different from the project manager. When our project started, one of the first things we heard from the project manager was "I'm sorry, but he (the salesperson) shouldn't have told you that." Communication from the company was very poor. The project manager did not reach out with any proactive updates, instead I had to call / text regularly to find out what was happening and when. The usual response to my questions was "I don't know, I'll have to get back to you." They have an online schedule portal, but it was not updated by the project managers (we had 4 different project managers throughout the project), so the portal was practically useless. There were many delays and missed dates from Holtzman, there were surprise up-charges and items they forgot to order (causing more delays), but the real difficult part was the lack of communication. Not knowing what's going on is really unsettling when you've trusted someone with this type of project. The kitchen came out looking great. The people that come to the house to do the work are nice and friendly, and generally do good work. But the communication and lack of accountability from the company is embarrassing. If my name were on this company, I would take more pride in the work and try to improve how they treat customers. I would strongly advise anyone to go with another company and save yourself months of delays and many headaches from dealing with Holtzman.
