My wife has celiac's. They advertise gluten free and are on her gluten free near me app. The only thing gluten free was the frozen bread. So much cross contamination from a toaster that all the bread is toasted in, to knives just wiped off and reused, the staff and owner not having a clue as to what gluten really is. And don't get me started on the pasta salad. This place is poisonous to anyone that's even gluten intolerant. This place is making me a little sad. I used to love it, and I want to still like it. I used to take my kids here for a special lunch because they love the soup. Last time I went I could not believe the small amount of food we got for what I think is an outrageous price. Here is what we got. My 6 year old got the kids' meal which is a half sandwich (half a grilled cheese), a tiny one-ounce bag of chips, and a drink. I got a small half sandwich also, it was turkey (although there was barely any turkey, very little veggies etc and a very small half sandwich) and a same sized tiny bag of chips. I got no drink, I just brought my water bottle. My child and I shared a bowl of enchilada soup which IS very good. Cost? over $15. How can two HALF sandwiches, one drink, 2 teeny chip bags and one bowl of soup be $15? I don't get it. Please beef the sandwiches back up and lower the prices, this was ridiculous. read more

If you go to Richland, Washington, which by the way, is one of my absolute favorite towns in CW, you Ab-So-Lutely must try Stone Soup. I had the veggie supreme, not because I'm a veggie-head, but there were a lot of good looking things in it. It was a lite sandwich, but very filling: Tomato, mushrooms, chilies, lettuce, cucumbers, bell peppers, olives, onion, mayo, herb cream cheese, and Provolone. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before. The first two or three time I ate here, I would probably have given it a 4 or 5 star review...but lately... Maybe it's budget cuts, but I am much mess impressed than I used to be by their sandwhichs. The first few times, their sandwhich's were overflowing with meat...the last two..I would say the amount of meat on their New Yorker and tehir Rueben has been cut in half. Everything still tastes good...the bread is good, the soup is good...the cute little cookies you get are good...but where as the first two times I was impressed/pleased by the thickness of the sandwhich, now I was kind of 'meh.' (written by Kelly) I initially heard about this place when I was working way up on George Washington Way past Hanford High up by Battelle. We usually had a large group ordering so we would call it in fairly early in the morning and they would deliver it out to us. This was great for us considering we only had a 30 minute lunch and wouldn't have time to go to Stone Soup, eat, and get back within 30 minutes. Just make sure if your in a building with limited access that you are either at an easy number they can get a hold of you at for when they arrive, or you are out there early waiting for them to drop off at the time you designated. We had one incident where because our building was limited access, and they decided to deliver 15 minutes early, we weren't quite expecting them, and we got some attitude from the delivery person when they had a tough time getting a hold of us to come out and pick up the food. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. There full sandwiches are well stacked. I order the same sandwich every time I go there, just one of those things where I found something I really like and just don't want to try anything else. I get the Stone Soup Club, comes with ham, turkey, 3 slices of your choice of bread (pretty good variety of choices), and bacon. The meal also comes with your choice of chips, potato or pasta salad. I LOVE their potato salad! You also get a sliced pickle and one of their homemade cookies. Their cookies are awesome! I always want more. One thing I love is if you did go there everyday (which I did for a while), you don't get the same kind of cookie everyday. They cycle through their flavors. If you just love them and want to take them home, you can also purchase them separately in batches. You have the option too of making your sandwich a half order. You still get the choice of side, pickle, and cookie. They also have other pastry type choices, rice crispy treats (and no not the small individual one's you get from Kellogg), these things are huge! They also have brownies just about as big! They get pretty busy during lunch time, but they are ready for you and don't make you wait too long for your order. I definitely recommend this place if you like a good sandwich and don't want just the typical subway or quizno's sub. Not to mention you get more than just the sandwich. Oh they also do have salads there too. I have tried their Taragon chicken sandwich and it wasn't half bad, but I don't think I'll probably get it again, mainly because I just far prefer their Club. There's not much to say about the dining area itself. Some cute pictures on the wall and basic tables and chairs. I've never had an issue with the noise there either, even when there's been a lot of people there. Definitely check out this place! read more

I could go in there any day of the year, order a bowl (which is the perfect portion size if I might add), grab a spoon, and begin to enjoy each spoonful bite by bite. There is something almost magical about this soup. It warms you from the inside out, which is a unique quality to find in a food, yet this one does that. Sorry to have to complain Stone Soup but you should know that your morning service for walk in people is not the best. I love the breakfast sandwich but every time I order I have to wait for them to heat up the grill and the woman in the morning is not the nicest person and it never seams to be ready when they ask you to come in. I just ordered another breakfast sandwich and was asked to give him 10 minutes so I gave 15 or 20 then walked down to pick it up when I walked through the door he said you must be Lori and I said good morning he said it will be a few minutes he had an order for 50 people and then started to finish putting their tray together. I asked him if he had even started my order and he said no that it would only be a few minutes and even offered to deliver. That was a nice offer but I just wish he would have said to come after he was finished with the 50 people that were more important than the one person that he asked to come in 10 minutes. Not always the best service here in the morning. Food is good but I feel bad almost every time I go there for breakfast. I would not recommend this place for Breakfast to anyone again. They serve breakfast but they have never been ready to make any breakfast when I've been there, every time they say we will have to start the grill. Wouldn't you think if they are going to sell breakfast that they would start the grill in the morning when they get there so that they could actually make the breakfast. If you are in a hurry don't think you can run in and get a quick breakfast sandwich it will probably take 30 minutes or more! Sorry Stone Soup! read more

Stone Soup is a pretty long drive from my office, but I usually don't mind making it because the food is usually good (if overpriced!). I love their Southwest Corn Chowder, Broccoli Cheddar, and Chicken Enchilada soups. Today is cold, with freezing fog falling, so I decided to make the drive to try their baked potato soup. What a disappointment. I will stick with the others. I can't figure out why it's even called "Baked Potato" soup, as the only thing besides potato in it appears to be a little green onion. Business traveler in town for a day and found this place on a short walk from Hampton Inn. I went with what the cashier recommended: country club sandwich on herb bread with side of potato salad. I added a cup of tomato soup which was tasty. They include a small cookie to finish off the meal. It was a well made meal and had good flavor all around. read more
