I purchased the Toasted Garden Caprse from Panera Bread and I could not believe what I received. I've been unhappy with their food for a long time, but this is ridiculous. I expected. Basil, Arugula, Fresh Mozzarella. As if you were to make a Caprese tray. However, this sandwich doesn't come close with the iceberg lettuce, some creamy sauce that tasted like mayonnaise, and a hard, flat cardboard piece, which I think was an over-microwaved piece of cheese. It was disgusting to look at so I threw it in the garbage. Do the franchise owners even know their employees are sending out this type of product? Is there no quality assurance and training? Today was the second time I found hair in the Mac and cheese. The first time was a couple months ago went and gave the Mac and cheese back and I didn't make a big deal out of it and just told them that it's kinda gross to me. Then today I gave the bowl back and showed them the short black hair and they replaced the Mac and cheese and I seen the manager that I had spoke with before about the previous time and I let her know and she was like "ok I'll make sure everyone's hair is pulled back." And I told her I do like Panera but this makes it hard to want to come back and she was like "well there's a new location opening in Kennewick". Well my first thought is ok well instead of just making sure everyone's hair is pulled back, why not wear hairnets and see if that helps.. I gave franchise a second chance. The near Portland Airport was pretty awful and avoided the one in Richland. But recently we could not get waited on at the Kabob House on Duportail (totally ignored us) so walked next door to the Panera and had a very good experience. Every time I have come here it is poor service with horrible quality for the amount you pay. Confusion on buying through kiosk and having to go to separate places to get food. Paid almost 9 dollars for cup of Mac and cheese just to get the smallest cup possible and I go to Costco and you get a tub for same price. I love Panera, unfortunately yesterday I had the worst sandwich I've ever had from there. I ordered the new spicy steak on Asiago bagel and it was so flavorless. The only thing I could taste was the spicy sauce, the spicy sauce didn't really have a flavor, it was just spicy. I am not afraid of spice, I eat spicy food daily. My sandwich had about 2 slivers of onion, unseasoned steak on an over sauced bagel. I am not sure what Panera was trying to accomplish here but it completely missed the mark of a delicious flavorful sandwich that I am use to getting there. Tried Panera for the first time today. Ordered 2 large soups, a grilled cheese sandwich and Santa Fe Cesar salad to go. We asked the kid working the counter the difference between a bowl and a cup of soup. He showed us a small bowl for the "cup" and a large bowl for the "bowl". When we received our food, I checked the bag and the soup were in small to go bowls. I asked if this is a large bowl and the lady says well it's 3 ladles of soup, but the bowl for a dine in order is more. I said why? She says because it's convenient. Ordered the you pick 2. This is after waiting a few for someone to come up front. I ordered the strawberry poppyseed salad and French onion soup. My brother ordered the pepperoni flat bread pizza and French onion soup. Given a pager, told to go have a seat it will be brought out. It buzzed, nobody came. I got up to check window saw sign said employees only so I sat back down, waited some more and the guy who helped us was like didn't your buzzer go off?? Your supposed to come get it! Service was pretty good considering they were working under covid conditions. Only one tablet up front to order on, so that was a slowdown. On the other hand, they did bring out our food items that I could not carry on the first pass. Cleanliness looks good, but getting the water to turn on in the ladies bathroom faucet was nearly impossible! I had the chicken bacon flatbread pizza, and it was excellent - made off menu, no customizations. The year and a half old ate mightily, so that speaks volumes as well. read more

Service is lacking here, no one welcomes you except voices from behind tall counters? Walls? Partitions? You order your food at a kiosk. Pay at the kiosk or I think if you pay cash someone may help you, not sure. You pick up your food on the counter when it's done and take it back to your seat. The food though, is really good. I moved to Tricities a little less than a year ago, I'm a HUGE Panera fan and just found out there is one out here. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich (steak and white cheddar) and pasta which is my usual order! You can imagine my horror when I opened my sandwich box and saw this atrocity... I really tried to eat this because I was hungry, but the bread was rock hard and the " steak" is literally roast beef so overcooked it had the texture of jerky. As someone who frequented many many Panera's back home, I couldn't help but be peeved at this sandwich... Ive been in the bar and restaurant industry for five years and I would NEVER even consider giving this to a customer. Before I start I'd like to mention that this is not the first time that this is happened to me. I placed a mobile order on the app for three bacon and spinach breakfast soufflés. In the app I requested curbside pick up and when I arrived I did the steps to the app and waited for them to bring out my food. I was out there for for probably five minutes and I saw multiple people walk through the store but no one brought out my food. When I got inside I was greeted and I told by who I assumed was the manager that no one ever brought out my mobile order. He went to the kitchen and looked around and told me he didn't have it. He said he'll make it for me real quick. He walked over to the front pastry case and told me since they only have two bacon and spinach soufflés left that I could either choose a four cheese or spinach and artichoke, so is my third option I chose a spinach and artichoke soufflé along with what I assumed to be the two Bacon spinach soufflés I looked up to see what he was putting in the bag and he gave me a bit of side Eye. Now I know why because he scammed me. I've been going to Panera since I was seven years old and I can remember exactly what a Bacon spinach soufflé looks like and tastes like There's a half slice of bacon on the top of them always. When I got home I looked at the soufflés already disappointed in my experience and I saw that all three of them looked exactly the same. So I opened them up and all three of them are spinach and artichoke. This locations management has some work to do because this has happened to me three times and I don't get any compensation any apology any valid explanation for this happening, nothing. I didn't tip on the app because I was going to tip in cash when I arrived but I'm glad I didn't tip at all because this location has not proven themselves to even care about helping the customer experience. They have gone to extreme lengths to cover their lies. This location has lost me as a customer. That may not seem like a big thing but my parents and friends are all affected by this and I'll let them know that this location is not worth it. The food at this location is great, I'll give them that, but the process I have to go through every time to get my food isn't worth a single cent. read more

Normally I enjoy eating here. But the service I got today was a joke. My friend and I went to pick up our food because we ordered it to go on the app prior. It claimed it'd be ready in about 12 minutes (normally we wait 5 minutes past that just to be safe.) I walk in and our food isn't on the shelf, which is not a problem. I pass the time waiting rather than returning to the car. About 10 minutes goes by before I'm getting a bit impatient. I look over and see that there are 2 to-go bags on the counter while the cooks are laughing/messing around because it's dead in the restaurant. Maybe 2 people were in-house eating. I walk up finally and ask if the bags are done. The guys give me a look, as if what I said was extremely complex, and say yes. And what do you know? It was our food that was supposed to be on the rapid pick up shelf. So I brush it off and take our bags. Someone else's food was also just sitting there, when they were supposed to be taken to the customers. When we open the bags on the way home, they ended up forgetting one of our items. Even more irritated, we decide to just go home since we are already on the highway. And just when you think they can't screw up any more, they forget our utensils. So, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. If you can't even do your job when the restaurant is dead, I don't even wanna know how bad they screw up when the place is packed. This is their only location in tri, so I'll just hope that next time is a better experience than the one we encountered today. read more

We arrived with a party of 11 (two were babies under age 1) after church service. With all of our orders coming shortly after getting seated, we were all very impressed! The soups, sandwiches, salads, pastries and smoothies were all excellent! I'm more than excited to know that there is adequate parking, room in between tables for a double stroller, I can order from my phone app while sitting at my table...... the list goes on of why this mommy of irish twins looks forward to returning. Fresh salads can be customized. The kiosk is awesome because you see all ingredients and add to or subtract ingredients. Delicious soups as well. My favorite item has to be the Kitchen Sink Cookie! It is sweet with a hint of salty on top. My only complaint is that there have been a few times they were out of baguette bread that would normally be a side choice. read more
