This is one of the best places in Brockton or even in the Brockton area. Liked it a lot better before the fire and the remodel because it felt more homely but they food stayed the same. Overall a great breakfast place. I got the eggs Florentine and the hollandaise sauce tasted homemade. It made all the difference. Even though we went close to 11am we only waited 10min for a table. The one star review is a little too harsh, and the 5 stars a bit too fawning. Stonebridge is a solid breakfast joint serving a steady crowd of locals and students from nearby Stonehill college. The skillet breakfasts are a speciality. Hearty eggs and potatoes and meat and stuff smothered in gooey american cheese, and served in a ceramic skillet... that it doesn't appear to have been cooked in, but whatever. Wow, what a great breakfast I just had. Was my first time there and I'll be back. The waitress was helpful and courteous, the atmosphere is clean and bright, and the food was tasty. I had one of the omelets listed on the menu (onion, pepper, mushroom, crumbled bacon and bits of sausage, cheese on top) and it was done right. The homefries were very good. The hash stuffer is unbelievable! Although I usually go and sit at the counter, I decided to get takeout!! The wait is worth it. I have had a few things off of this menu including lunch, and I have to stay the food is pretty consistent! I have been going to Stonebridge for years and I have never been disappointed with the food. The service could be off on some days depending on who your waiter/waitress is. When I want good breakfast in the area this is where I go on the weekends. It can get crowded in there and the line can get long, but it's worth the wait in my opinion. Love the breakfast skillets here. My husband always enjoys the steak and eggs. The steak is actually really tasty with a lot of flavor. They redid the inside a few years ago and seating is much more spacious. Most of the waitresses are pleasant. The wait can be long, but well worth it. This is the second week in a row I came in here for breakfast with my coworkers. Stone bridge cafe opens at 6 am so it is super convenient! Their prices are low, they even have a special menu in the morning where meals are around $4 dollars each. The waiters are super friendly and are always coming around quickly to fill up your coffee cups and get you what you need or want! The scrambled eggs are simple but delicious and the home fries are great! You get a generous portion for what you are paying. Make sure to come with an appetite! Used to be one of my favorite spots but after today's experience I have changed my mind. There is almost always a wait for a table, which is typical and understandable for a Saturday. We sat down, ordered, and waited way too long for our food- about 45 minutes. Keep in mind we ordered very basic breakfast food. The waitress kept filling our coffee up and unacknowledged the delay. The moment I was infuriated was when the people next to us whom sat after us received their meals first. We finally received our food and I noticed that the people that sat down 20 minutes after us received there's right after. Halfway through eating, the waitress gave us our check with a snide "here you go". The owner was walking around and could care less about the customers. I was far from disappointed. I tried here after hearing about it from a friend (never knew it existed since it's a bit tucked away). I was so sick of the declining quality and service and increasing prices at my standby the Milk Bottle. The food was amazing. Bacon done perfectly (not overdone charcoal, not raw). I tried the Corned Beef Eggs Benedict because I was feeling brave and it was delicous. Been back a few times to grab it for lunch on busy office days when I just want yummy breakfast food to get me through. Staff is super friendly. Only suggestion I'd make to the owners if they watch Yelp would be to see if they can post their daily specials on their website...I mean, I'd probably keep getting the same thing but you never know, this zebra might change her stripes! :) Keep up the great work! read more

This is hands down the best breakfast in Massachusetts! I take my family every morning I have an excuse too! Super huge portions for amazingly cheap prices! I pay for a family of four for what I would pay for one plate elsewhere! I have never had anything but warm and caring service! My daughter and I had lunch there, I wrote on the back of the check "worst meal ever." Which we really meant it. I ordered the patty melt, the patty was burnt to a crisp. I then requested BBQ sauce to hopefully assist in consuming this travesty and the waitress brought me a sauce server of ketchup that had been seasoned to be poorly disguised as BBQ sauce. My daughter ordered the buffalo chicken omelet and it was drenched in bleu cheese. All in all the meal was horrible. Had one of the worst take out experiences ever here. I called for my food ahead of time and was told 30min wait cool I'm a patient person no problem. I get there 20min later and check in pay for my food even left a tip from the change left over. Another 20min goes by and I inquire about my food again and ask how much longer. They tell me 10 min so I head over to Starbucks grab a coffee and go back and wait inside again. Well now it's been over an hour. I let one of the managers know I had been waiting a hour if she can check for my food again. She then turns around and says oh your food is sitting right here. So basically my food had been sitting there for at least 5 min and the girls working the counter that I had check in with didn't bother to give me it. At this point I'm upset. So I wanted to make sure my food order was at least correct. I checked in on the food and the steak tips and eggs were Cold. Like how is that even possible you would think if I waited an hour for my food it would at least be hot. The manager offered to heat it up which is almost laughable that he wanted me to waste more time standing inside. I had stood inside for 45min now. Literally lost my appetite Last time I come here. Stonebridge is the best breakfast cafe in the area!! Their lunch is fantastic too. The place is gorgeous, it's a bit modern but with that cozy feel. It's busy but the wait is never more than 45 minutes. ITS WORTH IT PEOPLE. For breakfast I get a mushroom,tomato, linguisa, and cheese omelette.. EVERYTIME. occasionally I'll add spinach. It never fails me, it's so flavorful & although it's a lot of ingredients, it never falls apart. Perfect. The home fries are never burnt and have that perfect flavor that you'd expect from a breakfast place. They have the best daily specials for breakfast and lunch too!! The cook is very creative and skilled. I recommend their buffalo chicken sandwich for lunch which comes with fries. It was the best buffalo chicken Sandwich I'd ever eaten and trust me.. that's hard for me to say. Their service is great, the waitresses make you feel comfortable and have great recommendations and great attitudes too. Their portions are large which is great if you're starving or want to bring some food home with you. They aren't too pricey either.
