He talked me through the process and the quote and responded quickly to my email and texts. The actual laying of the flooring took under 5 hours but had to be split over two mornings because when the old carpet came up, the floor was uneven. Denis was prepared with a fix, pouring leveler and the next morning he and his father (a real family business) efficiently and skillfully finished the job. We are very pleased with the end result.

Our project involved the replacement of the wall to wall carpet in two bedrooms in our condo. We installed luxury vinyl laminate planks (Nucore Techtanium) over a very high quality sound deafening underlayment (Sentinel Protect Plus) on top of our concrete subfloor. The Floor One salesperson, Nick Nocero, came to our home to measure and provide his professional opinion of the two luxury vinyl laminate flooring products we were deciding between. We found Nick to be patient, informative and very attentive to our needs by the installation team. Floor One offers a pickup & delivery service which we chose for the additional cost. Enrique, the gentleman who does the pickup and delivery, an employee of Floor One is wonderful. Our installation was to begin on Monday. Unfortunately, the Valley was having a major monsoon. F&D shrink wrapped the pallet of our flooring in plastic and Enrique delivered it in a closed box truck. However, given the inclimate weather, Enrique coordinated with our installer Cesar, to deliver once the rain stopped, late morning. Enrique and his son are polite and professional and extremely accommodating. We were expecting an installer and his team (at least one helper) but Cesar did the entire project himself. There are not enough positive words to describe Cesar. Cesar has been working with Floor One and its owner for over 11 years. He is focused, friendly, professional, accommodating, and honest. It was important for our primary bedroom to be completed in one day so we could sleep in it each night. Cesar moved all the primary bedroom furniture, removed the carpet and padding, the carpet tack strips and our baseboard molding. Cesar's honesty and integrity were highlighted when he informed us that no concrete leveling of our floor or grinding was needed, despite "Floor Prep" at an additional $500 included in our original quote. Cesar laid the underlayment, flooring and replaced our baseboards in one day. He returned our large furniture so we could sleep in the room each of the nights during the project. The great news continued when Cesar confirmed that the second bedroom subfloor had also been previously leveled. We were happily surprised but knew that when we did the carpeting 8 years ago that the installation company was also thorough and spent the time to do proper preparation. We're waiting to receive the updated final "change order" (invoice) with the $500 credit. We also anticipate additional $credit as Cesar also honestly shared he laid less square footage than the original estimate. We got to keep a box of flooring, a good amount of underlayment and still return 4 full boxes of flooring for a full refund from F&D. Thanks to the fabulous coordination by the office staff including Carly, Isabella, Ben/Ops Mgr., any hiccups of the project were overcome including the challenges of the weather, having Cesar dedicated to our project from its beginning to completion, Enrique's flexibility with the initial delivery and then unexpected pickup of the extra materials. Our floor is complete. We enthusiastically recommend Cesar and Floor One. Another rarity of Floor One is the high level of satisfaction the Owner, Victor Romero wants for his customers. We had the pleasure of chatting with him upon the completion of the project to discuss our insight about the project. Considering new flooring? They removed a load-bearing wall, installed a structural beam, enclosed a doorway, and replaced the flooring throughout our entire home. Abel Alvarez and his crew were phenomenal. They took great care during demolition and cleanup, and their attention to detail with the beam installation and drywall repair was outstanding. Since our previous contractor had already purchased the flooring, Caesar and Jesus handled the installation. They did an excellent job, and the finished floors look fantastic. We also asked our Project Manager, Jason Rodriguez, if we could receive the baseboards before installation so we could paint them, and he happily accommodated our request. The project was estimated to take four weeks, and the team actually finished one day ahead of schedule. What impressed me most was their communication. Throughout the project, we always knew what work was scheduled, when the crew would be onsite, and if there were any changes. That level of professionalism made the entire experience stress-free. I couldn't be happier with the final result. Thank you to the entire Floor One team for turning a difficult situation into a wonderful experience. The flooring has since developed widespread buckling, seam separation, and corner lifting throughout the home. An in-person inspection was conducted in November 2025, and an independent flooring professional identified installation and product-related issues. A formal warranty claim was submitted on January 17, 2026, but we have not received a written response or the inspection report used to deny the claim. The current business states they are not responsible due to a change in ownership, however they continue to operate under the same name and location, which has created confusion for us as customers trying to resolve this issue.
