Beautiful garden about an hour north of the city. Plenty of parking available. Book your ticket in advance - only $10. You're given a map that identifies all the plants, flowers and trees along your path. It's a small garden but has a rock ledge you walk on so wear comfortable shoes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoy!

Who the hell created this place? Wow... absolutely fantastic. Paradise, if you love plants, beautiful and natural scenery, attention to detail. There were also a couple of beautiful and incredibly friendly cats roaming the property. What an incredible trip. Must go.

This is definitely a hidden gem and a fabulous place for garden enthusiasts! How I wish I planned more time in this wonderful garden. This wonderful place well maintained with easy access to the bathroom and clear direction around the garden. There are over 160 different species of plants here. The admission is $10 for adult, $5 for children, students and seniors. I was given a very warm welcome from the front door staff. I also had friendly encounter with a cute dog in the gardener's Bothy, and 2 garden cats near main house. My overall experience is very pleasant.

What an absolutely beautiful and unexpected surprise. Totally worth the cost of admission. Well manicured and maintained gardens in the middle of a NY State Park.

Stonecrop Gardens is a wonderful place to kill anywhere from 1-3 hours if in the Cold Springs/West Point/Newburgh/Fishkill area of the New York Hudson Valley. I cannot call it a gem or rave about it as much as other Yelpers as it is a smaller attraction compared to other gardens and not much was in bloom when I visited. I have nothing particularly negative to say about the place as the employees were nice and the place is a perfect quiet and idyllic escape to kill a few hours if you find yourself in the area, but it's a 3.5 star attraction at best in my opinion. I loved the pond area with a bench with a frog sculpture on it, but beware as this particular area takes some balance in getting to as there's rocks you have to walk on and can fall in the water if you don't have proper balance...definitely not recommended for the elderly. There are plenty of benches scattered throughout the grounds to take in the surroundings. For the small entrance fee, it's worth a visit if you like smaller gardens and peace/quiet.

This was a very pretty place with plenty to see . Entrance is $5 . The only thing I would suggest is more organization and details about everything that is observed by visitors .

Simply Fantastic! This is the place to be if you are an avid floral photographer. The gardens are simply gorgeous and they have a nice selection of plants and flowers. Very Zen-like areas to relax too. Located in Cold Spring, it is pretty close but hidden from plain sight. This is a must for nature lovers. Small admission fee which is worth every penny when you see the surprise that awaits you.

The gardens were amazing. We had an incredible experience, the conservatory situated on the water, the Pergola with wisteria, and so many natural settings. Really well done. We'll come back.

Idyllic gardens, beautiful setting, extremely relaxing, just 10 mins away from Cold Harbor. Grab lunch or breakfast in cold springs before you come as this is just a fabulous Garden and grounds (no cafe). Great for curious kids. If you like rambling English gardens beautifully curated, this is for you.

The main building was actually relocated to this site from further south and has a rich history of the initial construction, gradual decay, disassembly, resurrection, catastrophic damage, and aggressive renovation. The main plaster/cement ceiling in the upstairs library actually crashed down one evening a few years ago and damaged much of the home with plaster dust. Fortunately, charitable contributions have helped to restore most of the site as a 2026, except for vintage-era wallpaper and some furniture. We were fortunate to visit after a winter of intensive renovation, which allowed us to get a much better sense of the home. Displays in the adjacent visitor's center and grounds provide some interesting history, but you should really time your arrival to take a tour led by one of the volunteer docents. It is a beautiful home, which I would give 5-stars to if renovations were complete.

She was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and was so thorough in explaining the history of the house and how it go where it is now. We didn't get the experience the gardens since there was snow but I will be back in the warmer weather to see the grounds. The view of the Hudson was gorgeous!
