Okay... this is officially one of the best orchards we've visited! Looking for an orchard we haven't been to and came across Weeds Orchard. Came in around 4 and only few people left. We started with grape picking then went to apple afterwards. This place is massive, clean and has a lot of things going on! Music, bakeries, winery and more! Staffs are also very nice and accommodating! Best thing was wagon was free! (Cost $5 but will give you back once the wagon is returned) Apple & grape picking, cider sipping, beautiful views, and plenty of picture-perfect spots. In addition they also have some vegetables available including tomatoes, peppers and eggplants. We will definitely be back! So, if you're looking for the perfect fall day trip, add this to your fall bucket list, I promise, its worth it! I visited this winery and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is beautiful, and even though it was busy, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and informative. The bartenders were knowledgeable about the wines and took the time to explain everything. I also met a young man named Andrez at the grape station. He was so kind, pleasant, and welcoming, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Our favorite was definitely the wine flight--we got to try a few different wines and really enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend visiting this winery! It's a beautiful place with great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back! read more

Family-friendly orchard! I love coming here as a family of five. They have two play areas for kids to keep them busy. Lots to do with two bar areas, winery, live music, fruit picking, great food, flower area, tons of seating, etc. Most weekends have great events happening (best to purchase tickets online). This was my first time coming to Weed orchards and I can't wait to go back. It was a bit crazy on the weekends as you need to purchase an entry ticket ahead of time as it's also cheaper. The entire place is walkable and not too hilly. There is a free tractor ride that takes you thru the orchards and they have animals as well. There is food, donuts, and fresh cider being made. I recommend starting with a wine flight to see what you like best. The frozen drinks are a bit too sweet for my liking but still delicious. read more

Great year round orchard with lots of fun activities and drinks! I loved the summer bloom box (you pick zinnias + sangria with a take home mason jar and wine glass for $25!!) Also had a great time last fall with frozen espresso martinis, tractor rides and pumpkin patch! Great live music, but can get really busy depending on the time of day. I always look forward to sangria fast in the summer. The pictures that I'm going to post are from when I've been there either lately or before then I've had service before from there, and I cannot complain when it's time for sangria as they are very helpful always with a smile, which is great. I can't even tell you how cool it is that they offer now where you could sit under a tent if need be also they offer a band from time and time again, which is also a cool vibe to sit there and chill for the day just looking at the land the area it's great. I really like this orchard and winery. They have a ton of seating and many food and drink options. Their wines are tasty and they have good food items too. While I've never picked apples here, they do have an expansive area that isn't too hilly. Parking is easy and not too far away. Prices for food and drinks are reasonable. One of the best orchards Ive probably been to. Came for the honey crisp festival ($6 ticket) and it did not disappoint. It was organized from the very beginning starting with the parking. There were workers there who kept all the cars in line and directed you to an open space. Once inside, there were many things you could enjoy. Tractor ride, apple picking, live band, food and drinks. Had a fun fall day at Weed Orchards and Winery this past weekend with my friends! First off, I'd recommend buying tickets online beforehand because they are cheaper when you buy them online. Upon coming in, you will be guided by the workers on where to park. The parking lot is on a field of grass right in front of the entrance. Prices on the bags vary depending on whether you're apple picking, grape picking, or flower picking; as well as the size of the bags. This orchard consists of different types of activities such as fruit picking, hay rides, dining, drinking, playground for kids, and a small animal farm. They have plenty of drink options like, beer, wine, cider, and non alcoholic beverages. Their cafe menu is limited, but they have a food truck if you want more options. My friends and I ordered... 1. Black Cherry hard cider on tap: This was good; not too sweet and not too strong in terms of alcohol taste. Rate 7/10. 2. Chicken tenders w/fries: The tenders and were fries were average; it tasted like your classic tenders and fries, nothing special. Rate 6/10. 3. Truffle Fries: These were yummy! They had a strong truffle taste which was delicious. Rate 8.5/10. 4. Beef Empanadas: This included 2 empanadas and they both were very tasty! The flavor was great, and the breading was super crispy! Rate 8.5/10. *all the food portions were a generous amount; however; they were a bit pricey.* Lastly, they have a small bakery w/ their baked goods, homemade jams, and ice cream. Opening day of the Peach Festival. I really like this orchard/winery. I ordered the Georgia Peach (a peach wine slushie with a peach ring), lobster roll (from the new menu), and the ice cream flight. The slushie was delicious and the peach ring kept its gummyness despite being in the cold drink. The lobster roll was flavorful with a good amount of lobster. The bread was falling apart but the big piece of lettuce kept the majority of the lobster salad inside. The ice cream flavors were so yummy. The peaches and cream was sweet but a little tart and sour. Sour probably doesnt sound good but I just don't know another way to describe it. It was delicious. The mix of the sweetness of the ice cream and whatever teh "Cream" of the peaches and cream is was delightful. The italian rainbow cookie ice cream had little chunks of cookie.. sooo good. The salted caramel pretzel was also delicious, with crunchy pretzel pieces. The cappuccino kahlua calypso was also delicious. My only complaint... I wanted more consistency in the amount of ice creams in each little cup. I felt like some were skimmpy but after eating it I was definitely satisfied. The grounds were super cute. They hay ride was free but tip the driver. The live music was good and the singer had a lovely voice, lush and green. Some little body of water was cute to look at. The play grounds and the little boat. All very cute. Everyone working here that we interacted with was helpful, had a big smile, and seemed to be having a great time doing their job. Attended during their Peach fest and the place was crowded. $10 admission $16 if you wanted to pick peaches. Small bag didn't warrant that price. Super long lines for everything from drinks to several food trucks. We waited 20 minutes for lobster rolls and when we get to the register we are told "sorry no more lobster give us another 20-30 minutes for more to arrive. Luckily one last roll was available so we lucked out. Maybe we would try it again on a non event weekend towards the fall. Way to hot to wait for food trucks. read more

We came for the peach festival. They had 5 food trucks, tons of peaches to pick, plenty of seating, and a nice playground. They had peach specific drinks like the very refreshing peach blast. For $16 (and $5 admission for each adult)- we got a small bag to PYO peaches. They had plenty but it wasn't a huge farm and the bag was small so the picking part of our day was sort of quick but definitely a fun spot to spend the afternoon. read more

I visited Weed Orchards with my kids and 8 other family members , and what happened was truly disappointing. While I took one of my children to the restroom, my husband was standing just a few feet away from our 6-year-old. The owner suddenly approached our daughter, yelled at her very loudly for stepping on a pumpkin, and kicked her out of the orchard. I completely understand that children shouldn't be playing with the pumpkins, but there is absolutely no reason for an adult especially the owner to yell at a small child instead of calmly finding her parent. My daughter was terrified and literally shaking. When I spoke with the owner, she told me she yells at kids "every single day" about this which, if true, shows a real lack of patience and care for families visiting for the first time. If pumpkins shouldn't be touched unless purchased, clear signage could easily prevent misunderstandings like this. Instead, the situation escalated further when the owner got in both my husband's and my face and then called the police all over a 6-year-old's innocent mistake. Even staff members and other visitors told us the owner was out of line. We left heartbroken and shocked. This place may look family-friendly, but our experience was the exact opposite. I do not recommend visiting, especially with young children. I was told that my one review "wouldn't affect them." I get it, I'm just one more customer to them, just another transaction. But to me, this was supposed to be a day of making core memories with my family. Instead, it turned into a moment that left my children shaken and upset. read more

Came to Weed's fall fest and had a great time! Didn't get around to trying the wine here, but the apple cider donut I tried was probably the best I've ever had. We also picked apples and I found the price for a picking bag to be pretty affordable compared to other orchards. They also sell pumpkins, but I was slightly disappointed when I realized that they don't have an actual pumpkin patch where you can pick them right off the vine. Overall, this was such a fun day though! Just be prepared for long lines at some of the food and drink stands. read more

My family and I used to go to a pet friendly orchard in Warwick, however recently their website said "No pets allowed". This led us to brainstorm a new place that had a good selection of apples and that also was pet friendly. We came across Weed, and it checked off all of our boxes: - dog friendly (lots of cute dogs dress warm and dress up for Halloween!) - good apple selection (Jonah Gold is a favorite here) - low cost of admission that gave us a CHOICE of what size apple bag to buy (some places only give you one option of a high admission fee that includes a 1 peck bag aka 10lbs worth of apples) Upon arriving, the farm was beautiful: the rolling hills of grapevines and apple trees, the foliage, the cool, crisp air mixed with the smell of bonfire and cookout food... it all shouted FALL! Entrance was a breeze -- you can pay with either cash or credit. This place has everything for everyone: -a "winery" section that includes wine flights and apple cider sangrias for 21+ -playgrounds, face painting and pumpkin painting for kids -a bonfire to keep warm during chilly windy days -live music during certain hours -apple and pumpkin picking -a wide variety of food, such as sandwiches, chili, pizzas, hotdogs, burgers and fries that come with great sides (baked beans; garlic aioli; pasta salad -- SO GOOD!!) .. ooh yes, how could I forget APPLE CIDER / PUMPKIN SPICE DONUTS?! -a bakery with homemade ice cream, pies, breads, local honey, and jam. There is ample parking space, and upon exit, they do mark your bags that you've bought them, and also reserve the right to check your non-apple peck bags. I was worried at first because there were so many cars, but the place is HUGE and it didn't feel crowded at all because there was plenty of seating and people were spread out. The hayrides are free! The food was great - a bit pricy but I think that's expected at a place like this. They do bag checks and are pretty strict with their no outside food and drink policy. Can't wait to be back soon! Came here with my girls and my brother who was visiting from the west coast. We actually had to buy tickets online for this particular day because they were having a festival. I don't know how a regular say would be up here but this farm was beautiful. It was very far up north. So the scenery was a nice long ride. I don't think I would return because this one was really out there. It's probably why it was so large and beautiful. They had staff there to give us directions of where to go for parking. When we go to the entrance we had to pick our band of 21 and over if you want to purchase any alcohol. They didn't only have wine, they had cocktails and other drinks. It was very hot this day, so we were happy to see they had a nice dining area that had air conditioning although we stayed outside because of the beautiful weather. They still had some other fruits there like grapes and peppers but we went straight for the apples. We then got us some food that although was pricey it was so fresh and I mean delicious. I think everything was made from scratch. I mean everything. From the chicken to the flour they use to fry it in. The pizza was good. The freshly made apple donuts were good. They also were sold at a good price. Besides the heat my girls and I had an overall good time. The only thing we didn't like was after waiting about an hour to get on one hay ride truck we decided to give up because it was just to hot that day and we found out that it was only one truck that took about 30 minutes to do a round in one seating. The festival was nice they had good music, good food, real bathrooms I appreciate that. I hate portable potties. If I had another adult with me I would go again. It would make a really nice girl group visit or date day. I wouldn't bring my kids again it was just to far and they are not little anymore to play on the playground they had, or do any face painting, so Besides just picking apples and eating good food they would rather go to one closer. I went 9/21/25. First and foremost do not buy the bags for the grapes. Their trees are INFESTED with lantern flies. Something that was not disclosed prior to buying the bag. It is not suggested to eat fruits from trees that have these flies so I ended throwing out the bag. 15 bucks down the drain. SHAME ON YOU. Secondly, I asked the person at front if there were any veggies for picking and she said yes. LIES. The only veggie there was tomatoes yet they had eggplants and peppers where they were selling the bag to make people believe there actually were vegetables. I've been here three separate times, and I always enjoy it. I recommend coming earlier in the day, as they close in the afternoon. They have different fruits/veggies available for picking, they'll let you know what's in season and ready. They also have some flower fields which can be picked as well. During certain times of year they offer apple cider donuts and other items for purchase. I'd recommend checking their site for hours, selection, and other activities. I had been introduced to Weed Orchards & Winery during a Yelp event in which their tasty rose had been served. Being intrigued by the peach and wine festival, I arranged to participate on a late Saturday afternoon. The festival was different than I imagined. First, it can be very crowded--one food stand worker said the event can draw 1000 people per day. Second, it was organized like a carnival, where rather than rides, you waited on line for different foods (e.g. pizza, BBQ), beverages (e.g wine, beer), or sweets (e.g. doughnuts, ice cream). This was not relaxing, as you would have to order food on one line, and then go to another area of the complex to order a beverage. As the orchard does not permit outside food and drink (bags may be checked upon entry), looking to bring something along is not an option. Drawn to the peach festival specials, I ordered the the peach and prosciutto white pizza. The eighteen inch pizza is attractively presented, with a thin Greek-style crust that is cracker like in appearance and taste that overpowered the thinly dressed top. A box made it easy to carry to one of the picnic tables. Admission is ten dollars on the weekend. I had read that this could be applied to purchasing a box of pick-your-own peaches, however upon arrival I learned from admission ticketer that it was unlikely to collect enough peaches to fill a box on the last weekend of the peach festival, and no alternatives (such as apples) were permitted. Once inside, I learned that a filled box was twenty pounds, which would cost around $65, and heavy enough that a wheeled cart would be needed to comfortably collect peaches. Unless you have foresight to bring something like this you would likely need to rent a wheeled cart. I purchased a small bag of nearly ripe peaches. As with other products sold at the farm, this was a multi-step process -- first to select the produce and then to go to another area to pay. While many people appear to enjoy this carnivalesque set up, it Is not what I am looking to experience when visiting an orchard or farm. Visiting during a week day can circumvent many of these conditions, including the necessity of an entrance fee. Thankfully the Weed family also has less commercial and populated options just four minutes away at Sonny's Farm and the Hudson Wildflower Company. read more

Before this winery tour my partner set up for the both of us last season I had little knowledge of the wineries that existed just north of the city. Weed Orchards had a particularly warm and welcoming feel and I enjoyed a really delicious apple cider donut they were selling by the entrance. I've been told Hudson Valley's wineries still have a ways to go to reach the caliber of wine you'd find in say, Sonoma, but I've had some delicious wines at nearby wineries. What I had at Weed Orchards however tasted more like grape juice than it did wine. We tried a flight of 6 wines and have to say probably 4 out of the 6 wines were barely drinkable, some of them having kind of a funky smell and others simply tasting of low quality. I'm not an oenophile or wine snob by any stretch, but with my palate so recently introduced to other wines while on this winery tour the contrast between the wines here and the other ones I had was very stark. I actually loved that this was the case because I really felt like I tasted a range of quality of wines on this day and this knowledge has carried me through subsequent nights at wine bars and wine stores. It was really quiet on the weekday afternoon we visited, so we had a nice calm stroll through the orchards and tried some of the apples. They were incredible-- really crisp, bright, and sweet. While I thought the wine here needed some work, the apple cider doughnut, apples, and ambience of the place more than made this visit worthwhile. read more

Located about 2 hours away from the city, Weed Orchard is truly a picturesque location to do your annual fall apple picking excursion. There is plenty of variety to choose from and if you are lucky enough, you may be in season to pick some grapes in the back as well! We ended up going during one of their festival weekends and it was quite nice. Plenty of seasonal options to choose from, donuts, pizza, sandwiches, wines and drinks. The (expected) issue is that the lines are ginormous. Heed everyone's warning when they tell you show up early because if not, you will be in line for well over 30 mins for a glass of wine (or blueberry wine)(or even raspberry wine!). But still, even with the massive amounts of people there, I commend the staff for still being so kind and helpful during the rush. Truly appreciate it! Overall, for the experience of having an orchard and winery with a mountainous backdrop, I think Weed is good for at least one visit during your lifetime in the tri-state! read more

This place is so cute and fun. I come for the peach picking and summer peach menu. I was a little saddened about this year's peach situation (boo climate change), however I was still able to get a bag of delicious peaches. Definitely pricier this year: $40 for the large bag, $20 for the smaller (even though it says $16 online). It doesn't make sense to get the smaller bag, because the guys selling them explained that the smaller bag isn't even half the size of the larger. The peach slushie with tajin was really good. The peach burrata salad was good and fresh, but it could have had more dressing. The majority of the salad was dry. The apple cider donuts smelled amazing, but a little pricy at $9 for 6. read more

Spent the day at Weed Orchards and Winery, and had an amazing time! We were warmly greeted upon arrival by a lady distributing the bags for picking apples, and she asked if it was our first time visiting. We let her know it was, and she shared a few helpful tips- get your pies, donuts, and cider right away, and then leave them in the car. Great advice to avoid the looong lines we saw later in the day. On their IG page, they also recommend arriving early, and placing food orders by noon. Again, advice well taken. We arrived just past 11:00, and it was already starting to fill up. We ended up getting food at around 1:15, and the line was just getting long. By the time we were finished eating, it had at least doubled in size. The Sausage and Peppers was such a big portion, flavorful, and the sausage was crispy; the way I like it! My husband enjoyed his Pulled Pork Sandwich as well, although it was much smaller than my dish for the same price point. Their Apple Brown Butter Sangria was tasty, but honestly, so weak. Only other complaint is that I spent way too much money here. Things add up quickly, so be more mindful than I was as you're eating, drinking, and shopping your way through the Orchard:) read more

When we got out of the car with our two dogs, the farm dogs came charging at us barking. It put us a little on edge, but we paid our fee and went on in. THE APPLE CIDER DONUTS were the real star here. They were truly some of the best I've had and were reminiscent of the French toast sticks my mom made me as a kid. They were perfectly soft inside. It's an annual tradition for us to visit and go apple picking. Best Apple Cider doughnuts in New York. Lots of places to take great photos with the family and the food they serve on premises is really good. Went for honeycrisp festival but didn't see anything honeycrisp on the menu. Ordered a red delicious sangria and a caramel butter sangria, both totaling $26 for mostly ice and a little sangria. Beware... do NOT order the beef empanadas. They were the greasiest ones I've ever had. You're going to need an expensive drink to wash down the dry chicken tenders. Fries were the only good thing we had and the food wasn't even hot. It was warm. Should've known it was going to be bad when we only waited less than a minute for the food to be ready. Not even an exaggeration. The only nice part was the live band, they were good. We drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and left within 20 minutes.
