This place has been one of my favorite Italian spots in SLC for over 10 years now. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and inviting, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. Every dish ordered is always flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. Exactly what you want from an Italian spot. The pasta is incredible, the portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and well-balanced. It's the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Easily a 5-star experience every time. Going in the summer or fall is especially night to sit outside on the patio under the lights.

The food is absolutely delicious. Handmade pasta, unique flavor combinations, make for a fabulous meal! We had the lasagna, which was super flavorful, the spicy sausage fettuccine, the classic bolognese, and the new corn and cream stuff shells. All were so delicious! The setting is in a nice rooftop restaurant with lots of windows and a massive fireplace in the center. Super cute decorations. The service was quick and waiters were very nice. End it with a lovely dessert, especially their donuts!

The focaccia bread appetizer is to die for!! Steve's special was yummy as well but the bread stole the show for me our waitress was so awesome too I don't remember her name but she had long dark hair and cool tattoos she was working Thursday around 7 had to give her her flowers for the service!!

We came here for our anniversary dinner, it was honestly very delicious, service was decent the ambiance on the other hand if your wanting something romantic and quite maybe this isn't the place for that since there where big groups and all pretty loud, but the view was nice if your by the window. Food overall was great, but what took the award for us that night was there homemade cheesecake I'm not lying when I say it was THE BEST cheesecake I've ever had and we love cheesecake and have had from many places! Texture, taste, serving size, all 10/10

The food was delicious and the ambiance is beautiful. I'd recommend this place for a date night or a small group dinner. However, I would NOT recommend it for larger celebrations. This past weekend, I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with 15 friends. Our reservation was at 8:00 PM, and most of my guests were seated by 8:20 PM. I completely understand that Saturday nights are busy, and some delay in taking orders is expected. My dinner arrived around 9:30 PM, which I accepted given the time and party size. What truly upset me was how rushed the evening suddenly became. My birthday cake was brought out without me requesting it, I was caught out of guard, which I later realized was likely because closing time was approaching. From that moment on, the entire table felt hurried. Many of my friends have worked in restaurants, so everyone became hyper aware of not wanting to inconvenience the staff. Within about 30 minutes, we were finishing dinner, cutting the cake, and preparing to leave. I was in my car by 10:20 PM. Half of the group dispersed in different directions, and I even missed saying goodbye to several of my guests. For a milestone birthday dinner, that was honestly heartbreaking. The staff did apologize as I was leaving, and I do appreciate that. I also understand that closing time matters. However, as someone who worked in restaurants for years, I believe there is a more thoughtful and elegant way to handle large parties near closing. A simple heads up to the host an hour before closing would allow the group to pace themselves and avoid feeling that rushed.I truly wanted this to be a special memory. While the food and setting were great, the way the night ended left me very disappointed.

My sister, niece, and I had dinner here a few weeks before Christmas. The ambiance was really beautiful and cozy, decorated nicely for the holidays. The food was delicious and comforting and the service was top-notch. We had the foccacino as an appetizer which came with three different dipping options, all delicious. We ordered two different pizzas, the Diavola was the better of the two (the other was the Nono). We also had the black tagliatelle which was scrumptious. Very enjoyable meal!

Such a great dining experience. It was a recommendation from a friend since I was in town for a work trip. we love a Good recommendation. The portion size is HUGE and perfect for sharing. My sister and I shared the Margherita pizza and the lasagna. They were sooooo good and FRESSSSSSHHHHHHHH!! Cheese just melting. It was sooooo good. Just perfection. The restaurant is beautiful. Rustic. The staff were so kind. They have a patio area as well with mist fans for those hot days. Ample seats and family style seats as well. Great experience and great food.

Good vibes, great view. Parking is TIGHT and very difficult, but easy to access if you're taking trax. Service was meh. The arancini was delicious although it was disappointing to only receive one! I could have eaten three! Pizza was the biggest disappointment - the bottom was blackened and burnt and took over everything. The toppings were skimpy and I wasn't really able to taste them properly with the crust bitterness. This place used to be so cool and now it's just ... meh.

Ever wondered what "Al Dente" meant when taking about noodles? The noodles at Stoneground were perfectly " Al dente". It made me realize my noodles I make at home were mush! Glad I got to enjoy a meal here. They bolognese sauce was perfect. The fettuccine was a perfect balance of spicy and red sauce. The fried olives for an appetizer was perfectly light. It made for a lovely evening and I will now try and cook my noodles better.

    Lobster pappardelle - sinfully delicious!

Stoneground is a beautiful space with beautiful food. It's pretty idyllic for celebrations - birthdays, engagements, etc. The vibe is upscale without feeling stuffy. Our most recent visit was for New Year's Eve. Everything from making a reservation to finding parking was easy and accessible. The vast majority of the food was amazing! The octopus carpaccio is easily one of the best dishes I've had in SLC - the textures and flavors are immaculate! Also, their lobster pappardelle is to die for - richly decadent and perfectly balanced. Their cioppino left a lot to be desired though - the various seafood components were not cooked correctly, so while the mussels and clams were great, both the fish and the crab were disappointingly overcooked. All in all, a great bet for a night out or your special occasion!

This place is still delicious. I have no complaints at all; the food is good, customer service is great, and it's a nice, beautiful place for a date.

This was only my second time going to Stoneground and both times the food has been amazing! I love the upstairs atmosphere and it's great for a celebrating a special event. The first time I was there, there was snow falling and it was beautiful to watch it from the upstairs window. The Steve's special looked a little off because of the sauce but it was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend! The nono gpa was so flavorful! I liked both the gma and gpa. The asparagus is a must for an appetizer. I also love they have such a variety of wines, I don't usually see barbera's when I'm eating out.

We came in for dinner last night and what a treat! Makenna was such a wonderful server and gave us some great recommendations! The space is upstairs (there is an elevator in the entrance on the opposite side of 400 south so it's ada friendly). There were some lovely outdoor spaces that we'd love to check out when it's not snowing! Music was also at the perfect volume so we weren't screaming over each other. Food was excellent! Polenta tots, burrata, and the fresh bread kicked things off. Love that so much of the food (bread, pastas, cheeses) is made fresh in house! We shared 2 pasta dishes, the pork chop, and the scallops. The pork chop and scallops were a tad overcooked which was a bummer considering the prices. Next time we will have to try a pizza or something less expensive but not as easy to overcook. Finished with the gelato trio and doughnuts.

My favorites are the Settebello pizza and Romana salad -- they always come out fresh and made just right (the Margherita pizza is a close 2nd). The pizza sizes are big enough to share with at least one other person. Don't forget about the gelato for dessert either!

If it was a bit more charred and crispy that would make all the difference. On the plus side since they don't cook it enough the pizzas come out fast at least lol, we got our 2 in about 10 minutes. We tried the signature Settebello, Pear & jalapeño pizza and a salad. The salad was lame - just a pile of arugula with maybe a little oil dressing topped w/ a slice of hard cheese. Essentially a plate of rabbit food for $10. The Settebello was very tasty & I enjoyed the addition of pine nuts. The pear/jalapeño was quite tasty and unique. Instead of a white/red sauce base, the base is a jalapeno&pear jam that is sweet w/ a little spice, very nice. My only small complaint would be about the cheese on this pizza. It's a creamy sweet cheese that I think clashes with the sweet& spicy flavor, I think a sharper cheese would pair much better with this pizza. All in all, if they fixed their dough game it would be 5 star. The prices are around $18-21 for a large personal pizza, or can be shared with an appetizer which I think is fair portion & price.

Enjoy the pizza, the beer, and your dining companions instead of your phone for an hour or so. We tried the pull-a-parts, which are kind of like thin pieces of baked dough with a thin layer of cheese inside. You get a large portion and they are ok but this is not a must order. The ranch dressing was delicious but the pizza sauce was more closely related to ketchup than anything Italian. We went with the Mountain of Meat pizza (pepperoni, ham, sausage, salami, and ground beef) on a thick crust and it was very good. The 12-inch size gives you six huge slices loaded with toppings and was plenty for three people. Every server we interacted with was extremely friendly. Bring a pen and write your name on the walls. Thousands before you already did so. The decor inside is fantastic if you like classic college town pizza dives. Don't miss the Polygamy Porter.
