I had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was absolutely perfect. Food is consistently amazing. Love this place!!!

Visited this restaurant with my service dog, who is fully trained and has been with me for years to assist with my disability. The moment we walked in, the hostess requested "documentation" and "proof" that my dog was a legitimate service animal. I explained that under the ADA, there is no "official documentation" and they are not allowed to ask for any paperwork, certification, or ID for service animals. They can only ask two questions: 1) Is this a service animal required because of a disability? and 2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Instead, this felt like a interrogation, and was treated as though I was trying to scam them with a fake pet. It was humiliating, stressful, and a clear violation of federal law. My service dog was calm and well-behaved the entire time, the managements short commings in staff training ruined what should have been a simple meal out. I left without eating and took my dollars elsewhere. I do not blame the hostess as I can guarantee she was directed to ask for "documentation". We had a group of 7 so we got a reservation in advance and had no issues. Our waiter was great and attentive. The place is kind of cramped in there and our party kept feeling like we had to lean forward for the wait staff to get past us. We got the family salad, the wedge, and the pink and corn pizzas. The wedge salad was tied for the best thing with the corn pizza. We were very full leaving there and got 6 pizzas between all of us. Solid portions and leftovers to boot. Looking for a bite to eat before heading to a Utah football game, my husband and I decided to try Nomad East. Our waitress was extremely kind and engaging, offering wonderful suggestions and also some recommendations for local things to do while we were visiting Salt Lake City. To start, we decided to try the esquites as well as the tomatoes and melon salad. Both were extremely flavorful and full of fresh ingredients. I could have easily eaten several portions of both and been content. For our pizza, we decided to try the Popeye's pizza. We both agreed that it was a unique pizza that neither one of us would probably experience anywhere else, and we did not regret it. I love Nomad East! Been here multiple times but this time I went with the burger. There aren't many gluten free options at Nomad East but I typically make do with their salads, Bavette steak, or their burger on lettuce wrap. Nomad East is cozy and warm. The vibes in there are cool and relaxed. Staff is great and quick to respond to your needs. Though I haven't been able to try their pizza, I know that everyone LOVES the pizza flavors they offer. I recently bought a few pizzas here for a friend because I knew that typically most people are very satisfied with Nomad East pizza. She was very happy with her pizza! One thing to note is that their wedge salad with ranch is INCREDIBLE. You guys...I could drink that ranch. It is a perfect balance of sweet and salty. Get it. It's worth it. Came here for a solo dinner when I was in town for work. The place is super cute and quaint but bold, fun menu. I went with a glass of the house red blend red, the wedge salad and the Roni Boy Pizza. The wine was a little on the sour side, the salad was very good but drenched in dressing and the pizza had the perfect dough but marinara sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking. Unfortunately the service was not the best-- besides taking my order and dropping off my food, I didn't see my server at all. Quick dinner, big flavor! We found Nomad East on Yelp and were excited to try it--especially for the pizza, which everyone seems to rave about. Parking in the area is a bit limited, but if you're determined, you can snag a spot nearby. We came on a Friday without a reservation (would recommend one!), but luckily were seated within five minutes. It's community-style seating, and we were told someone might join us, which we actually loved--it felt very European. We were heading to a show, so this was a quick dinner. I had been to their old north temple spit a few times but this was my first visit to the east location. It's a little small but it's cozy. There is ADA parking. We were greatly warmly and sat. I had the wedge salad and it was honestly one of the better ones I have had. Nice fresh crisp lettuce, salty smoky bacon, pepita seeds for that crunch and fresh made ranch. It was delicious. Honestly would go back for that. We each ordered a pizza and they were piping hot and tasty. No complaints here. I love a good solid pizza. Chefs kiss was the sweet tea! Damm, this place is fire!! I can't even tell you the menu choices are so hard to decide from, it's a bit of the beaten path but worth it. I'm telling you, go there! They are opening in daybreak and I hope the menu is more like this spot vs. the one off of 13th south. Such a cozy spot with beautiful decor and ambience, from book shelves to plants galore. I love watching them prep and cook the pizza in the beautiful oven while snacking on the house bread and smoked salmon salad. Their dishware is also so cute and unique. My son and I were visiting the University of Utah for orientation when we stopped into Nomad East for dinner. It was a delicious meal, the ambiance was great, and the service was friendly. Really good unique pizzas if you like NY style that is thinner crust. We tried the Pretty in Pink and new seasonal pizza called the Popeye's Pie. Both were really good. I think we liked the Pretty in Pink the most, but the Popeye's Pie was like artichoke dip with bacon on a pizza. The prices are a little higher, more than a place like Slackwater, but the ingredients seem higher quality. The bacon on the Popeye's for example was obviously high quality bacon. The wedge salad was delicious. One portion was enough order for the three of us to share. We ordered two pizzas: Figgy Azalea and Shroom Doom The dough was magnificent and the flavors were good. The only thing that can be done differently is an adjustment in the amount of the fig sauce squirted on top of the pizza and the olive tapenade. Came on a Monday night and waited about 30 minutes for a table for 3. The location and interior of Nomad East is incredible and makes us wish we lived in the neighboring homes. I believe this is where Eggs in the City used to be if I'm remembering correctly? We split a single serving of the family/house salad and WOW it was packed with flavor. The single serving was $8 and was the perfect appetizer for two people. It had so many veggies in it squash, radishes, SO much goodness and yumminess. The dressing was light and wasn't overpowering. It was delicious. All of their pizzas are one size, and are personal size - I believe 12"? They each had six slices, and we each got our own pizza and it was the perfect amount of food for each of us. I left with some leftovers that I ate later in the day, and they heated up great. Upon my wife's recommendation--based in her love for pizza--we decided to finally give Nomad East a try. I've heard a lot of good things prior to trying out Nomad. We looked at the menu and the decision was easy to make: Brussels, Pretty in Pink pizza for me and Get Rich or Die Brusselin' for the wife. The Brussels dish was amazing. Tasted so fresh and the Lemon flavor throughout the entire dish. A true delight and perfect shareable appetizer to start the meal. Shoutout to the crispy pieces of onion as well, game changer. Pretty in pink was AMAZING! Nomad was generous with the Stracciatella, which is always a plus. Pink Sauce tasted amazing, not too salty, and the addition of the Fresno's gave the pizza just the right amount of hit. Get Rich or die Brusselin' was also a great pizza with lots of flavors all combined in the same place. Sometimes that combination worked, and sometimes it didn't. I really love this place for a quick or leisurely lunch. The wedge will blow your socks off. Don't make the mistake of sharing it, because trust me, you want it all. The pizzas are largely delicious with the - not always on the menu - Children of the Corn being my very favorite. It's almost worth going just in case they are featuring it. The patio is heated in the winter to perfection and the ambiance is natural light meets traditional smokey local pizza joint. My one complaint - they don't have fountain soda. I wanted to sit inside on a warm day, but most of the booths are "reserved" for larger parties. Service was average/good. Nothing says questionable attention to cleanliness/food handling quite like a filthy front door. YUCK! Pizza was good - I opted for the Children of the Corn pizza for $18 and the famous salmon salad. Both were good - not mind blowing mind you, but all around decent. Children of the corn pizza is definitely on the slightly sweeter side with the garlic cream sauce. It was fun to give it a try. Lots of families here -- tons of kids -- not the most relaxing place on earth, but this place is far away from downtown and nested in residential area - what do you expect?
