There's free wine tasting here. It's a nice respite and place to chill out for a bit during a road trip. They have a gift shop inside, there's the Briar Patch home decor shop at the end of the same building and the Bramble Berry Bakery, Cafe, antiques and gift shop across the parking lot as well. Since we are driving, no wine tasting, but it's nice to have the option and 3 shops to visit all at once. read more

Excellent little winery off the highway. They don't lie when they say they're offering free tasting! Their wines have won a lot of awards. Highly recommend getting the Davenport and the Tickle Pink bubbly wine. Be sure the ask to try the slushee wine, it's made from their orange flavor wine. We came with a group of about 11 people. I could tell we overwhelmed the staff, but they were organized and explained the wine tasting procedure well. We all tried to taste the same wine at the same time. You get 10 tastings for free, which is pretty cool. The people in our group are more dry/ semi dry wine drinkers, so we found the wines got very sweet quickly. The semi-dry red was sweet, and we still had semi sweet and sweet left to go. Fan favorites of our group were the Moonlight Cabernet and the Pinot gris. I bought the Pinot gris and the Tickled Pink, which is a sweet sparkling wine. I got it for a girls night I have coming up. The building is large and has other things to offer, like gifts, food and chocolate. The building is right off the highway so it is easy to get to. If you are a Fairfield Glad resident or Wyndham member, you get 10% off your purchase. It was a fun outing to do on a rainy Saturday. read more

We were staying on the local Area and checked out Stonehaus. We mostly like dry reds so after tasting the Cab we asked about a glass of wine. Olivia told us she could open a bottle and we could purchase cheese salami in the other side for a little lunch in their cute table area. The young girl in the fudge area helped cut our cheese and salami and they brought it to our table. Great service and atmosphere. I believe the worker in the fudge was Alley Jo or similar. While they do have a few of the traditional kinds of wines, the ones you might get in a restaurant, they also have a lot of different ones. They had something like 19 different wines. They do have a set of wines that are labeled as Aaron TIppin's wines. They also are a red, a white, and a blue. Yes, a blue as in blueberry wine. This winery is right off the interstate. They also sell a lot of winery type items. The staff was friendly and provided a nice description of the wines. We bought a couple of bottles to drink while on vacation. There wasn't anything that I would want to store for a few years, but several were very tasty. read more

A good timing. There were some people at their gift shop but nobody was in their tasting room. I walked into the tasting room and found many wine bottles and lots of wine-related things. There are many kinds of wines. You can taste 7 wines for free. Their wines are about $12-$2? I really like their sweet wines like moscato. The rose colored one is the best. But it was sold out. Pricier ones taste lighter in spite of their prices. The staffs are really nice and sophisticated. I'd like to go back their again to purchase the rose one. The label is really pretty too read more

What an experience!! We were fans before we stopped but we are even bigger fans now! I wish I knew the name of the lady who helped us while we tasted because she was fantastic! She had dark hair with purple-ish hair underneath! She answered all of our questions and went above and beyond wi customer service! We tried Blackberry Summer (5/5), Cumberland Gold (4/5), Raspberry Mist (4/5), Orange Squeeze (4/5), Blue Angel Blueberry (4/5), Tickled Pink (4/5), Helena Blush (3/5), and Lantana White (4/5) and all of them were very good but the blackberry was our favorite. After all the wine tasting we tried the wine slushes and OH MY GOSH! We'd go back just for the slushes! They were amazing! We asked for half the strawberry mango and half of the grape orange and it was a perfect combo! We will definitely be back! read more

I was extremely disappointed when I went to visit this winery, with my father. At first I was excited, because I have heard nothing but good things about their wines and wanted to try them for myself. When I first entered the winery, I wasn't greeted at all. All the employees just glanced at me and went to other customers. It felt almost like my presence wasn't wanted. The only person working there that was decent to me was the young woman who was working on the other side, with the food and fudge. Very disappointed. Also NOBODY was wearing masks and no social distancing at all. Definitely avoid this place if you are worried about getting Covid. read more

We stopped by this winery last weekend when we were driving through Crossville for hiking in Tennessee. My dad is originally from Crossville, so I have had a few of their wines when my parents and/or aunt have brought me a bottle. They offer free wine tastings - you get to choose 10 different wines, they have dry to sweet wines, including some sparkling wines. I was really excited to try the sparkling muscadine and peach wines, but both were not impressive. I did like the Tickled Pink which was a sparkling wine as well. Their muscadine wines were okay, but NC is much better at their muscadine wines. We also tried the peach, blackberry and raspberry wines, which were okay, but Kevin loved the raspberry wine. Our favorite was the Lantana White, which was actually the first wine we tried. We also tried the winerita and the hot cider wine - both were excellent, we ended up buying a bag of the cider mix. This winery is easy to get to from I-40 and is a nice sized winery for tasting and just viewing what is in the store. A lot of wineries can get cramped, but this is definitely a good sized winery. It's too bad that this winery is too far for us to get to, but luckily some of my family members still go back to Crossville for visits and I can have them restock the Lantana White for us! :) Only disappointing thing - they are out of the Orange Crush, I was really wanting Kevin to try that, and I was wanting to try it again - haven't had it in a couple years. I really love this winery. It has a wonderful wine selection as well as specialty gifts, cheese, and fudge that pair well with the wines they sell. The wine tasting is free and I can honestly say that I am a fan of most of their wines! I also really like the way they do their wine menu. It's in order from dry to sweet and under each wine name is a short paragraph describing it. That makes it very easy to learn wine and your particular taste, even if you're not much of a wine drinker... My favorite wine there is their sweet Raspberry Mist and as an added bonus to being delicious, they serve it with some of their chocolate fudge at the tasting table. Both are amazing. I have purchased that pairing for many people (myself included) as a gift. They also have some wonderful semi-dry and dry wines even for those of us who may prefer the sweeter side of the spectrum. Depending on the wine you choose to sample, they provide different cheese samples and crackers which I love. If you want to try a Merlot but shy away from really dry wine, the Merlot here is lighter than most and taste wonderful. It cost around $20.00 which isn't bad. The building is a nice size and has been very clean every time I've gone in. The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable, ranging between $13 -$22 a bottle. read more

The cherry, peach and masculine red. There were all good so I bought one of each. My wife tasted the dry wines Fairfield red, homestead white and TGA blanc and liked them too. I really enjoyed this place. You can go in a taste 7 wines, and they provide little bites of cheese and crackers to cleanse the palate after you taste the wines. I also like how they arrange the wine menu. It goes from dry to sweet. I was surprised how good the Merlot was. The prices on the bottle are pretty reasonable. You looking at 15-20+ a bottle. This was also the 1st time I had a fruit wine. I was great! The person that was giving out tastes also paired the fruit wine with a piece of fudge. You can also try the fudge, and wow it was good. Four stars for the pecan divinity fudge - it is one of the best I have ever tried. 4 stars for the Pinot Gris...but it will set you back $19.95. The other wines are all way too sweet for me. We were able to taste all the different wines that they make as well as some of their special creations... frozen wine, mulled wine and wine fudge! My husband is not a wine drinker but he loved the frozen wine so much he bought a bottle and the mix! I loved the mulled wine A LOT! Our first visit to Stohehaus Winery was several years ago and we really enjoyed our visit and the wine. We vacationed again in the Smoky Mountains a couple of weeks ago and stopped at Stonehaus on the way to Cades Cove and again on the way back. The staff was so friendly and pleasant. We tried many wines and liked them all, but the Davenport Red and the Muscadine Red were our favorites. Perfect amount of sweetness. We took several of each home with us. We don't usually drink wine that often at home, but we enjoyed them so much that we were going through our stash quite quick. As fate would have it, our daughter went to a College Football Game in Knoxville so I asked her to stop at the winery on her back home to Illinois to get us 1 1/2 case of the wine. I called Stonehaus today, which is Sunday, BEFORE they were opened, and a sweet lady answered the phone and was more than happy to get the wine ready and let me pay for over the phone. She was amazing and was able to get the wine ready for pickup so my daughter could quickly jump off the Interstate and pick up the wine. The customer service this lovely lady provided me was amazing and I thank her so much for her kindness. She is a blessing! read more
