In spite of the numerous negative comments here on Yelp, I visited this dentist due to the fact that I recently moved and no longer had my trusted dentist of over 20 years. This is a modern facility and everything looks very nice and the people are also very nice. However, I cannot recommend this dentist. All of a sudden, after years of good dental care, I needed to have five cavities filled, at least one crown, deep scaling and planing and antibiotics inserted into my gums. All for a pretty steep price. I chose to leave immediately without having any of the "recommended" work done and go back to my previous dentist. read more

This dentist office is a joke. We arrived on time waited about 40 min.they had NO patients. They took x-ray & My husband needed 1 tooth pulled. Because he is on warfarin they would not touch it. He has had dental work done before he comes off warfarin for 2 days then does procedure. They have a oral surgeon but said they are not comfortable pulling HIS ONE TOOTH. This place is very unprofessional, they do not seem like a reputable dentist. Had a excuse for every question. Don't go here, they will tell you that you need to have unnecessary procedures, which they will not provide the costs for unless you ask, and pressure you into having them done immediately. They will also only offer you the most expensive solution, and won't acknowledge a cheaper option/material may exist, unless you push back. My first visit here they pushed getting two crowns on me. One I definitely needed, the other was questionable. After I came back with my temporarys on, they asked if I noticed any sensitivity. I had some, so they recommended I get a consult from their specialist. I showed up for the consult, and the endodontist walked in and said "So you're having two root canals today, right?" I told him this was supposed to be a consult, and he responded, obviously irritated "Are you having any sensitivity?", I responded with "yes, but it's mild" and curtly replied "Then you need root canals". A following appointment, they installed a ceramic inlay to replace one of my older fillings, however they did not discuss this with me prior. I had originally gone in about a filling that came out from another tooth. I was only alerted to them replacing the other filling when they started 3d scanning my tooth for the inlay. I was not provided with any cost estimates until after they were done. Now 10 years later, one of my crowns came off, and I went back here to have it put back on. They tell me I need to have my root canals redone as there is now an infection in both "It must have leaked" was the response I received, followed by "Well it has been nearly 10 years" *shrug*. Given my last experiences I asked for the costs and options up front. First they had to send me to another dental office since their X-ray equipment is too old for the x-rays they need, and I have to pay out of pocket for those (Though they did charge my insurance for them as well). When I went back and they provided the costs, it was 2.5 times more expensive than the last time. Now it has been 10 years, but this is the exact same procedure. When I balked at this, the receptionist said, "We can look at cheaper material options, and payment plans" after fiddling with the computer for a bit, she printed out the estimate, with no other material options, and told me I could finance it through SmileGeneration, as I'm "pre-qualified". read more

DENTAL MALPRACTICE HERE! SCAMMERS I went in for a dental cleaning and clearance so that i can proceed with orthodontic treatment at another office. Dr Chung did the exam and said i have a cavity as well as recommended treatments totaling thousands of dollars, including antibiotics, lab testing, and other various treatments. I get my teeth cleaned regularly (twice a year) and have never had issues nor experienced so many services being shoved down my throat. I immediately got the feeling that this dentist was only interested in making as much money as possible off of me. After scheduling the cavity filling, still feeling uneasy about the findings of a cavity, i decided to schedule an exam with a trusted dentist (who is further away from me but i have always had good experiences here) and she confirmed NO CAVITIES! This will be reported to the board as many other reviews state similar negative experiences. I believe she took the fact i needed clearance and ran with it to get me to do more procedures. read more

I got my wisdom teeth taken out on April 22nd and the experience was better than I hoped for. I was incredibly anxious but the care team was amazing, from the women working in the front, to the oral surgeon. Gigi in the front worked tirelessly to make the appointment as affordable as possible and was incredibly patient from the moment I made the appointment to turning in the final paperwork. The other members of my care team were incredibly patient and genuinely seemed like they cared about their patients. I was incredibly anxious but the care team reassured me throughout the process. I have had poor experiences in the past with healthcare workers and bedside manner, but Dr. Hou and the rest of the care team had great bedside manner, and again they really seem to genuinely care about their patients. I recently moved to the area and was leery about finding a new dentist because I've been seeing my awesome previous dentist for several years. I was so relieved when I met Dr. Chung. She was personable, detailed oriented and explained thoroughly my treatment plan. Her assistant, Veronica, was also sweet and did a great job w my temporary crowns and xrays. The visits were painless and my teeth felt so clean afterwards. Dr Chung also did some fillings for my daughter who can be a bit precocious. My daughter said it was an easy visit. If I could give them negative star reviews, trust me I would. As a business owner myself I would never treat clients the way that these people have treated me or many others complaining in their lobby. From the scheduling department, to the office manager who is a joke and their dentists! I stopped coming here because they had no respect for my time, ever. You go in there for a simple procedure and they schedule 4-6 people at the same time, so you have a dentist or hygienist work on you minutes at a time and jump from room to room to room. A simple procedure that should probably take an hour or two at max, will turn into an entire day event! I stopped coming here in 2016 and I've been going to Riverside dental Associates which are wonderful. However I wanted to replace a crown ASAP and they don't do 3-D printing, so I decided to give this place a shot again. They canceled my appointment last week and moved it for this week. I called this morning to see if they had an opening at an earlier or later time since a meeting came up last minute and they said no. I told him don't worry I will cancel my meeting and make it work. I drive to Moreno Valley which I no longer live there, I show up 20 minutes earlier as a decent Patreon would in case they want me to complete any new paperwork, to just be told that my appointment was canceled because they were over booked. I hate that I gave them another opportunity. They are a joke and do not deserve to have any clients! They did the same thing to me that made me stop going to them five years earlier. Do not waste your time or money at this place. I only went in for a standard cleaning, routine dental matter. As soon as I got in the chair they wanted to have me do all sorts of extra work, deep root cleaning. I haven't had or needed a deep root cleaning in over 20 years, now all of a sudden I do. The dentist, Grace, said the front desk would check to see about coverages and costs. Instantly that told me they were trying to upsell me. I said all I want is a standard cleaning. If they couldn't do the deep root cleaning because they believe it was necessary, then they couldn't do any work on me at all. I verified what I heard, got my things and left. I have no time for games or people who I've never met before, they have no idea of my history, trying to tell me what I need to do. Disappointing to say the least. Beware of this chop shop!! My brother went in for a check-up and was told he needed 7 teeth removed and surgery to remove puss inside of his gums. They also said he had severe gum pockets (measuring 8 and 9), requiring expensive deep cleaning, etc. I told him it sounds like a scam and to see my dentist in Canyon Lake. He tried to get the x-rays sent over to my dentist, but this place would only begrudgingly send horrible paper copies (not digital). My dentist (whom we've gone to for at least 20 years) said my brother only needed deep cleaning, but NO teeth removed and NO surgery! And his pockets only measured 2 and 3's. It's strange that they have hygienist practicing without supervision of a doctor. I went in to book an appointment for a comprehensive exam and to see if I would be seen today for a limited emergency exam. I was told I couldn't be seen because they don't have a doctor in. The receptionist informed me that the doctor was on vacation. Considering I heard her check in the patient in front of me check in for hygiene. I asked her isn't it illegal for hygiene to practice without supervision of a doctor. The women was very snappy with me when I asked her that and stated that as long as the hygienist doesn't numb then it's fine. From my clinical experience I know that anything could happen and you never know when you may need a doctor present. I find it very unethical for this office to allow hygiene to practice without a doctors supervision. Due the the receptionist mildly rude tone and snappiness and the huge RED Flag of this office allowing hygiene to practice without a doctor's supervision I decided it may be best to take my business else where. This place never ceases to amaze me. They fail on just about every aspect of a dental office. I started going here a few years back. They did a quick examination and found out I needed over $6,000 worth of work, which is AFTER insurance. I ended up flying back east to see a dentist who is a close friend of mine. He was outraged at the unnecessary procedures they were recommending that I didn't need. Even after a plane flight, hotels, and everything, my bill was less than half of what they requested. I decided to take my kids here since they are young and only need a basic check-ups. The first time the dentist had left the practice, so they had no appointment. They didn't even call to let me know. They saw another dentist who was okay...they are just looking at their tooth really at this point. Then they messed up their billing and double billed us since we paid out of pocket. They never contacted in anyway saying I owed anything, they sent it straight to collections. I had to call around and correct this. Today was the final straw though. My kids had a check-up today. Last week I get a text message, which I had to opt out of twice before working, saying that they had an appointment at 7:15AM. They don't even open till 8:30AM today. Luckily I'm smart enough to realize this. I called at 8:35AM and spoke to somebody there. She let me know that the scheduled dentist was no longer at the practice and they would have to reschedule. Wouldn't you think they would call the patients ahead of time letting them know? We have work that we have to take off of to take our kids. Overall this place sucks and I won't be using them anymore. They overcharge and have no respect for people's time. They lack basic communication skills to inform you of your appointments being cancelled. Seriously, this is Dentistry 101. DO NOT VISIT THIS DENTAL OFFICE!!!! I ORIGINALLY started bringing my son here to have his braces done here. Waited 1 to 2hours from time appointment was scheduled, just to be seen. I made an appointment last December to have a check up and see about a tooth that was broke. They got me in the chair, told me I needed 4 teeth pulled. And that I needed an implant put in, I had one tooth that had a internal cavity that needed to be drilled out, and a inlay put in. And also a deep cleaning. They said they could do the cavity that day and the cleaning. I paid for the total bill for the cleaning and cavity inlay. The doctor starts to work on the cavity. Then says he wont have enough time to finish so he will put a temporary filling in, at the same time, the hygienist said she would not have enough time to do the cleaning. After I already paid and they said they would do it. So I had to reschedule, but because it was a couple weeks before Christmas I had to wait until January to get a appointment, they canceled the appointment on me and rescheduled me for a couple weeks later. Cause they had to be able to line both things up for the same day. I was unable to make that appointment. So fast forward to now. I made another appointment to have the work done and let them know exactly what I needed before I got there for 2 PM. Waited in the waiting room for 1 hour before I was brought back. They took more xrays. The doc examined my teeth and said the manager will come in and talk to you.Then I waited for another 45 minutes and the manager began to completely talk down to me and was about the rudest customer service ever. She said she didn't know if they would have enough time to do the work, mind you it's already been 2 hours after my appointment. She says they are going to wave the price of the work that needed to be done. Mind you again I already paid . And that it would be another 130 with my insurance for the cleaning. I said if you can't refund me the money then I just want the work done and I dont mind paying for the cleaning. Another 10 minutes goes by and she comes back and says, the hygienist wont have enough time do the cleaning today, they will refund the money cause the dentist knows in upset with the service I've been getting and I can have the work finished somewhere else. They just wanted 2 and a half hours of my time, leaving work 4 hours early, for the second time and nothing was even done this time. No apologies, nothing. Dont know how people stay in business like this. This place will cost 3 to 4 times as much as other dentists. They wanted $160 a tooth to pull, I went to another dentist and it was only 56 with my insurance, they said i needed an implant and they start at 3700, i went to a implant specialist at a different dental firm Dr, Hassan and he said that i could save that tooth and have a root canal and a crown put on and it would be better and cheaper. But if I needed an implant, it would be about $2500. Stonebridge is the only dental or doctor's office I've ever been to that treats people in this manner, the manager is absolutely horrible. They change dentists more often than I get a hair cut. They want to take your money and have no care for your well being. I am grateful my son no longer needs to return. Go at your own risk. And make sure your ready for the attack they bombard you with in trying to get your money. I should have looked at the reviews before I went here. read more

Never get a dental implant with them. I am still waiting on mine from last year. I have already paid them. The first time I went, the color did not match and the second time the implant itself was made wrong. I was last seen on July 2 and I still have not heard from them about my implant. I contacted them yesterday and the message center was rude to me. I believe the next step is to contact my insurances to see if they also made payments to them so I could be fully reimbursed and finish my dental treatment elsewhere. From beginning to end everything was a perfect experience, 5 big stars! Upon first calling Stoneridge dental for the first time I was surprised you could register as a new patient online even before coming in to be seen by a dentist. The secretaries at the front were genuinely helpful and friendly not like what you'd expect at other dentist office's where they don't want to be bothered. The wait time was very short, about 5 minutes, and the front office felt private and clean. Every single person I encountered was friendly and efficient. Everybody knew what they were doing and explained what they were doing. That made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Montgomery, Michael, and Martha were just plain awesome. They were very professional and made me feel welcomed. They even had a nice career bio that they hand out about Dr.Montgomery before she even sees you. That was so nice to be able to know them even before you see them; it felt very reassuring. I had to get several teeth fixed and was surprised that another lady came into the room to talk about insurance and payment options. Everything was precise and clear and she explained what is the cost, what the insurance pays, and what I pay. She explained this all from one sheet of paper that was simple to understand. So as for the actual part of getting my teeth fixed, I don't think I've ever had a dentist that was as gentle and caring as Dr.Montgomery. Very good hands unlike some other dentists who push your jaw and neck around. Michael and Martha assisted Dr.Montgomery and you could tell they knew their job well. And to top it all off they had such great personalities and were fun to talk to. I was very impressed at how smooth everything went and the people who work there are awesome.
