Family has been going her for years, recently, our father passed and one of the staff members was extremely rude, non compassionate, plays games, has a comprehension issue and was extremely nasty regarding our mother(surviving spouse) regarding insurance. Instead of understanding the above issues and correcting the matter regarding surviving spouse benefits, this yahoo kept running the insurance under our deceased fathers name (so of course it wouldn't go through being that he, that member is deceased), causing our mother delayed dental. This is so disgusting and beyond rude. Then the same staff member sarcastically stated she could never get in touch with one of us, until I had to remind her that we work as well especially with having to take over for our deceased father. This latest experience is so disgusting, incompetent, and violates ADA laws. This repulsive treatment needs to be reported to governing agencies. I've never been to a dental office that was so disrespectful, and unprofessional. My first visit the hygienist tells me she doesn't understand why black people spend money on jewelry and cars and not their teeth. So she apologized because she realized that was a very inappropriate thing to say to me being that I am black. And now today a totally new hygienist is there and she tells me she has to ask questions because this is how humans get to know one another as if I was of some species or animal, when I tried to speak she interrupted me by saying she only has a certain amount of time, I say to her that it's rude to talk over a person that im not a child I'm 44. She responds that's she's 46 and I can just reschedule if I want someone else. When I explain this to the front desk clerk she act as if it was normal and I can just reschedule for another hygienist and take another late day to work. I "was" a patient of Dr Regans for about 20+ years. For the most part I received decent care but I also had good insurance. I retired in 2018 and became a cash pay patient...this is when they don't need you anymore! No follow up calls to schedule routine cleanings or confirming appointments like before. When I did make an appointment as usual there is a turn over in staff; I can't count how many front office girls there have been over the years and the dental assistants ...same. Constant turn out very due to the intense atmosphere in that place. The only good person was the hygienist (Susan) who has since retired! My last cleaning left me feeling as if my teeth weren't even cleaned. I have had an on going issue with a crown Dr R put on my front teeth and every time I try to talk to him about it I get the run around. I paid 4 grand for front teeth crowns that are now crooked! The final straw was this week. I was going to give them one more try since changing dentists isn't fun. But as usual Renee changed my appointment to suite them. Not the patient! Their needs! Seriously! She straight up told me they had cancellations and needed to move my appointment because "it's not worth it for my hygienist to come in for one patient!!! This was the second time in a row she canceled my appointment literally hours before I was scheduled to go in! She's awful and rude as hell! Went in to get my teeth worked on all to find out they never turned in my X-rays , so I had to get X-rays done again, when I came in the second time I was told to not converse on my phone with my dental insurance company while in the appointment chair as I waited for the doctor to work on me! The financial advisor then came and told me to get out and took my dental bib off and told me I no longer could have my appointment because I wasn't "obeying". I asked to speak to the doctor or nurse and was not allowed to. When I exclaimed it was my appointment time the advisor told me "not any more " , So I walked to the front where I asked for my dental records but was told I couldn't have those either. I asked what was the protocol to receive my paperwork she said to email a request and I would get them in a month. These people are so unprofessional and rude , they shouldn't be in business. PLEASE don't patronize these slum lords. This place needs to be shut down permanently. This was my first experience with North Heacock Dental. From my initial contact with them forward, they provided a very good experience for me as a patient and a customer. Their front office staff is really nice, and their dental assistant (I forget her name) was really cool too. The dentist himself did great work and got me in and out the door relatively quickly and painlessly. Also, their prices were reasonable. I don't have dental insurance, and it was work that needed to be done, so I really appreciated that. They also didn't try to up-sell me on anything, even though I know my mouth is full of cavities and other work that needs to be done. I started going to north Heacock dental 3 mos ago. I went in for a routine exam and cleaning and was told I needed a filling. After the filling I had cold and hot sensitivity pain for 3 months. I called the office on several occasions expressing I needed to see the DR. The office would schedule appointments and then call to cancel. Finally I called and said I needed to see the doctor right away due to excruciating pain. During my Appt I was told I needed a root canal. During my so called root canal procedure DR Reagan was cold, uncaring and offensive. He jerked my face around like it was a pingpong and then He stopped in the middle of the procedure and said he couldn't finish because he wanted to go to lunch. I left the office in more pain than when I arrived. I decided to look for a new dentist and when the new dentist took X-rays it was discovered that I had an infection and was prescribed antibiotics. I asked if My previous dentist could have seen the infection in the x-ray and was told YES! This man should not be practicing dentistry let alone doing root canals. I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from this place, they just want the co-payments! And yes the customers service is the worst I've experienced. My mom and I normally hate dentist visits we were Referred here by a family friend several years ago and can't imagine going any where else. Dr. Reagan is a great dentist but his wife who helps run the front office is not very nice and has no communication skills. I had an appointment that I made a month prior and showed up for her to tell me that she cancelled it because i did not call her back the day before to confirm. I was at work and was not able to. Also when she left the message she told me to call back to confirm and did not tell me my appointment would be cancelled if I did not call her back. If she would have at least told me that she was going to cancel it I would not be upset and would have happily rescheduled. She was very rude about it too. love this office. the girls at the front are friendly, the waiting area is full of good reading and there is always something on tv to watch even though you dont wait long to be seen. Dr. Reagan is a great dentist...i needed two crowns on my top front teeth replaced and he not only made sure they were beautiful, he made sure i was not in pain while he worked on me. each dental chair has its own little tv to keep your mind occupied and they will put on whatever you ask. the office is clean and the staff is kind, skilled and professional. doesnt get better than that! read more

I had some work done in 2011 and i was under the impression that my insurance at the time would cover what I was having done then they started sending me bills for over $300. i told them no one told me I was going to have to pay that my insurance would cover it and the office manager told me, oh, no the hygienist would have told you. I went to Gentle Dental 2nd time,first time for my gum cleaning and 2nd time for my crown.Staff is very helpful and smily,I like Dr.Ted, he is a vey good and friendly doctor and explain very well.I have done all my work a decent amount of time with no pain.I love the medical assistance her name is Sylvia she was polite and finish all work very smoothly and i did not feel any pain,she explain me every single time what she was doing. VERY NICE OFFICE! Staff and dentist are very friendly and informative. Office is also very modern with digital xrays and a machine that makes your crown the same day. I had one done recently and it looks and feels great! Best part is it only took a couple hours. My kids love coming to the office also. They get spoiled with balloons and stickers on each visit. WORST Dentist ever! It took them 9 months just to finish 2 root canals. They did one of them wrong and they had to REDO the root canal. Worse service ever. Please stay away from this office. If you read the other reviews you will see an issue with billing. I have great dental insurance. They are my in network dentist, so a cleaning is 100% covered by insurance. To make more money, they tell you that you need x-rays every time you come in. They do not tell you that insurance will not cover x-rays every 6 months, and frankly you can't remember if they had x-rays the last time you were in. The problem is with Dr. Reagan's wife (Renee) who is the office manager. She told me that the insurance company doesn't pay them what they want to be paid. I said that they should not accept that insurance if they are not being paid well. So they will find a way for you to get something that is not covered by insurance. I am filing a complaint against this office with the insurance company and the state of California. Please avoid. read more

I have multiple insurances and I was told each visit ( after me asking) what I owed? I was told nothing and insurance would cover everything. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Worst customer service evvvvver! My entire family basically had initial appointments and everythinh was ok at first. However, soon after they started to call same day to reschedule. They are NOT child friendly and for those parents that can not make babysitting arraigments and have no other choice but to take your 4 year old (who behaves very well) they act like kids are pests. At least that is how I felt. Plus, they never gave my mom an explanation as far as a treatment plan and her options after extractions. They stated "the doctor did not find it necessary to explain replacement options....he saw your mom "not bad"" Who would not like to know what will happen or what your options are after molar extraction? crown? Partial? What? If my insurance wont cover... How can I pay? I am no medical guru excuse my ignorance and my sincere apologize if you did not like my honest opinion on how I dislike your office practice and policies. My son broke his two front teeth with a skateboard and I took him to his regulars dentist Dr Chris Thanos who became a sculpturist instead of dentist and with filler he sculptured him some teeth. He then said he had to send us to his friend specialist around the corner. We went to N. Headlock where he did X-rays & root canal. I was later told that my son did not qualify for crowns through ins. because 1/3 of tooth had to be missing, while my son only had 1/10 of his teet left. Well I later figured it out. Our regular dentist forgot to take X-rays and when he realized that he called Heacock for suggestions on what to do and this ass hole at Heacock actually covered for Dr Thanos mistake and now my son has two brown front teeth that are continually chipping. Yes the plaster he used has turned color. Anyone can make a mistake, but own up. But for a professional dentist to cover for another's mistakes is SICK and disgusting. read more

I came in here a few days ago and the service was amazing!!!! The office was super clean, looked really cool and welcoming. I brought in my niece and nephew and the receptionist and dental assistant were great with them!! The assistant even took a minute to talk with them, even though I had the appointment. I needed a cleaning, x rays and to have the dentist look at my wisdom teeth. Stacey was such a great help because I was so nervous. Dr. Reagan took his time and explained everything from how long it would take to extract them during my next appointment, how long it'll take to feel normal and all the pro cautions I should take after.
