New to the area (Rigby) and needed an alignment on my Prius Prime. Full disclosure: my wife was a finance manager at a Toyota/Lexus dealership, so finding a good dealership is important to us. Called in for an alignment, got a very helpful gal on the phone (Savannah, I apologize if I misspelled your name) and called other locations for price comparison. They were initially in line with what I was being quoted, but she also took the time to check her current availability instead of the standard, "we might be able to fit you in tomorrow." Arrived for my appointment, was greeted promptly, there was another service advisor who initially checked me in, but you can tell they work as a team since there was no qualms about me being helped by a different advisor than Savannah. Car was completed, I was walked through what the car needed, oh and the best part. They actually came back with a final bill slightly less than what I was quoted over the phone. Great folks at Stones, both sales and service. HOWEVER, their archaic policy of a non-refundable deposit to get in line to purchase an allocated vehicle is unacceptable in my opinion. Gone are the days when one can "order" a Toyota, so in fact one is only given a priority in regard to an allocation. Checking around, the vast majority of other dealers will refund one's deposit. In our case, a sudden health issue sadly precluded the purchase, but that fell on deaf ears. read more

HUGE WARNING, BEWARE! I Purchased a used Kia Soul from my Dads "Car Guy" Jason at Stones Dealership in Rexburg. It died on the freeway a month ago. Then I find out the Kia dealership (Kia Dealership, Idaho Falls) didn't fix any of the previous recalls on the car before selling it, which is suppose to be done. Even though I'm told by the Rexburg and Idaho Falls dealership that "they're not sure how that happened," (selling the car without fixing recalls). I'm stuck with over $7000 in repairs. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Thinking I was buying from a decent and honest dealership was a GIANT MISTAKE!! I've spent a month going back and forth with both the Rexburg and Idaho Falls dealership. They say, "this should never have happened, but their hands are tied." My family have purchased several vehicles from Stones in the past years but never again will that happen! read more

if I could put no stars I would. this place will try to make the worst offers possible for you and then say that it's a good deal. do not trust these greedy people! they will not give you good deals. I came in with my car which usually sells for $7,000 and they told me I can only trade it in for $2,000. then they tried selling me a $2,000 car for more than $7,000. it's insane. do not trust them. do not go to them if you can help it. go anywhere else in idaho but not here! read more

I came here the other day to test drive another vehicle and although the sale would ultimately be given to Stone's in Idaho Falls, if purchased, JOSH still helped us out and treated us as if we were his customers. He took us out to the lot to look at an additional vehicle that would fit our budget. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. In the same weekend, my sister purchased a 4-Runner from this location. The car is in EXCELLENT condition and she got a crazy good deal on it. The car buying process is really easy with this guys! I live in California and this will be my 3rd vehicle I'm looking to buy through Stone's. I really like that Rexburg and IF work with eachother to get you what you need. My only recommendation would be to give option contracts. I was told that they don't do this, but it basically allows the customer to finance in-house until they find their own financing (10 day window after purchase). This allows people to shop around for the best rate, without holding up the car purchase on the dealer's end. read more

We love the lube and general maintenance service there! They really work with you. Our lug nuts were stripped and they worked with us to make sure we got a good deal and that the lug nuts were safe. Logan went the extra mile to make sure we had everything covered that we needed. read more

Called the service department to get our truck checked, the guy on the phone said we could bring it in the same day before they close and they could get to it the day of and following day. We drove an HOUR for them to tell us to bring it Thursday. Feeling disappointed and frustrated with the lack of communication. read more

Dropped my car off for repairs here because it was the soonest any shop could get us in with and it wasn't even worth it. We're past the dates now that other places could have had us in and probably out by and we still don't have our car back. We've had to resort to a rental outside of this company that I can't drive because I'm just barely too young, so my husband has been having to drive me everywhere. This place has pushed our cars "done by" date back at least three times now, and only offered a rental car to us when I called and went all Karen on them. Honestly the people there are nice, but the service isn't great. I bought a battery back in October, and they sold me the wrong battery, it wasn't even meant for my car. I didn't realize this until my car died so it had to get towed. They installed the new battery. It took them 10-11 days to get a new battery and install it. They only gave me the money back for the old battery. Not great service. read more

I was traveling from out of town and I had Stone's service check my Toyota Prius tire for a leak. They found a nail in my tire and patched the tire. The service was ok but I felt I was priced gouged ..the cost was over $70. I know that applying a patch to a tire with a nail in it does not cost that much because of a previous experience with my sons tire, which cost half of that amount. Obviously I had no choice but to pay the bill, being that I was so far away from home and wanting to return safely. read more

I had a warranty question/issue, took my 2019 Ram 3500 to Stones in Rexburg. They took a few pictures and said they would review them. After I had them updated a shifting program also under warranty, they said the other issues was due to improperly hooking up my trailer. Not covered! Disagreeing with that, as there is only one way to attach the receiver hitch to the truck. I called Ram warranty. They suggested I take it to a different dealership. I did they took a few pictures had their warranty person review them and got back to me the same day. They have ordered the parts. The parts should be in in less than three weeks. So although they did update my shift program, if I had just accepted what they said and had Stones do the repair it would have cost me over $600.00. So I would not recommend Stones in Rexburg Idaho. read more

The sales department is great. Super friendly and helpful no real complaints there. I wish the sales and service department were more in tune with one another. Bought a car, few months later had something happen. No biggie it happens, I have the warranty for the part and the service department really just does the bare minimum possible to help you out. Had some serious issues with the pickup and rather than actually helping they just read the codes and said well its not doing that anymore. What a joke. read more

Would give no stars if able to. We took our car in for repairs and on our second time going in there was another problem they had to fix it. Here is the list of problems between the two trips. First, we had an appointment on our first trip at 9 am but they barely started looking at the car at 5 pm. We thought it was fixed then something else happened so we had to take it back two days later. They told us the part would take three weeks to a month for the part to come in. We told them to order the part no matter if the warranty covered it or not. We even have a text of us asking them to order the part. Three weeks later they call us and ask if we still had the car in the shop. If she forgot she still should have called a few days later but not three weeks later. The service person asked if we still wanted the part or not. She kept on deflecting it off and was super bad. The worst part is she kept acting like it was our fault. Now we do not have a time of when the part is coming in and our car is still there. 100 percent disappointed with this so far. They have yet to offer any compensation. read more

I'm not sure where to even start with this place. My girlfriend had our 07 Toyota Prius towed in after all dash lights came on. It took the shop an entire week to look at the vehicle and get back to us. They called my gf and we're all over the place and telling her she had to pay $380 for spark plugs, labor and diag and said that they don't know if that will fix it but they have to do spark plugs first. So I called them back to have them break it down and the service advisor didn't even know how to explain the issue to me and told me the price was $320 once we talked. I asked them what they did for diag and everything they told me was a lie. They didn't even remove the spark plugs like they said they did. I removed them and there was absolutely no evidence of them removing the plugs or even taking the ignition packs out. I removed them myself in the lot and there was oil all over the plugs and I checked the oil and saw it was about a quart over the full mark...Being a mechanic for a dealer I have access to all the labor operation codes. They tried to charge us 1.5 hours for a job that Toyota pays .6 hours for through dealerconnect. Not only did they try to charge me time and a half for a simple spark plug service but they lied to my face and made me pay almost an hour of diag, all they did was scan the vehicle, they couldn't even supply me with the diagnostic codes and the technician didn't even put a proper story on the repair order saying he removed the plugs or anything at all. I have no clue how their service department makes any money or has loyal customers. You don't lie and screw people over like that. The advisor was Jeremy Fleming. If you can't avoid that place at least avoid him. He will lie to your face and charge you for things that they didn't even do. Sounds like fraud. They'll be hearing from me more. read more

I have had nothing but amazing customer service at Stones. I recently relocated here from Las Vegas. It is nice to feel like I am being treated honestly. The other day I went in to pick up a bracket to mount my license plate on the front of my Tundra. I asked if it was a hard piece to install and if they would show me how to do it. The technician said he would just do it for me no charge. It is the little things at Stones that they pay attention to. Always updating me on times, prices, and being thorough as they explain what needs to be done. I will never go anywhere else for all of our Toyota's! read more

I just bought a 2002 Land Cruiser from Texas. I didn't know the service history of the vehicle, so I went to Stone and asked, with the 174,000 miles on the vehicle, what maintenance would they recommend. Timing belt, water pump, coolant flush. Ok great! Let's do that. I asked to keep the parts being replaced. Never received the replaced parts from that repair, said "it was already in the trash". I had it done thinking the vehicle needed it. Fast forward a month, came in for a clunk when putting the vehicle in gear. Told me I needed a new front differential. That is a 4000$ repair. I wanted a second opinion on it. So I take it to Teton Toyota and had the clunk diagnosed. They came back with a front differential bushing needing replacement. 1100$ job, different then the front differential be replaced. While at Teton Toyota, the service guy printed out the service history of the Land Cruiser, and we discovered that the vehicle had a timing belt replaced at 159,000 miles. A mere 15,000 before I replaced my timing belt. The service manager from Teton Toyota went above and beyond watching out for me. I spent money on a timing belt replacement that didn't need to be done, and got quoted 4000$ on a differential replacement that does not need to be replaced. Be careful with these guys. I am out 1200 for a repair that did not need to be done, but also could have wasted even more money on a repair that the vehicle does not need. Drive the extra 30 minutes go to Teton Toyota in Idaho Falls and save THOUSANDS. read more

I had them do an oil change. In the process, one of the employees jammed my key in the ignition on their time!! The manager had the audacity to ask me to pay to fix the damage to my car!! Never going there again!! read more
