    Living area with covered porch, the light filtered worked well here with a north facing window.

    I was concerned about west windows in the afternoon. Rebecca told me I should get light filtering for all downstairs windows. Here is the problem - color looks different on different windows due to shade and sun on different sides of house. Ugh! I really like the blackout cellular shades "upstairs" on the west windows but the downstairs areas looks bad in afternoon. The study and dining should have been blackout or at least thicker, due to direct sun. The light filtering cellular shades are good in living room due to the covered porch and direction of windows. So disappointed in what was recommended by company expert.

    We were VERY pleased with our experience from start to finish with Stoneside. I reached out online to request an in-home consultation. They were very responsive compared with the other companies we contacted. Our designer, Reba scheduled a visit that worked with our extremely busy schedule at the time...two essential workers here. Reba met us after work and stayed until after 9pm! She answered all of our questions, gave recommendations, and respected our wishes. I mentioned the last, because we had an Oak Lawn company's rep spend her consult time ( telling us we couldn't afford our request (in veiled language of course), we obviously didnt have the look to her. Listen, I don't like strangers in my house, so when people have off vibes of any kind it really puts me on high alert. Reba was very open and I was immediately comfortable! She was very patient even with my interior design hopeful guy ! She told us our payment options, they offered a few flexible options. She took preliminary measurements before leaving. We received a call the next day to schedule the official measurement. Again, the team was very accommodating. The one hiccup was related to supply chain issues because of the pandemic. We ordered motorized zebra shades (living room) and regular faux wood blinds. We were told it may take until June to arrive, but we received in March. While expensive, we did not feel like we were being upsold and Reba made a point to show us where we could save but still get the look we wanted. Trent did our measurements and temp blind install. This step you could absolutely do yourself, to save on the process. Throughout this process, Reba was responsive to questions and concerns via email. Installation did require several hours, so be prepared for that timing. All in all, we LOVE our window coverings and have received numerous compliments. It's not cheap at all, but it is a worthwhile investment. We recommend!

From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself. Find another company.

Reached out to the company and was assured it was still under warranty and they'll have someone come out to fix it however, they require a $250 service charge via check which I issued when they arrived. They came and said some parts were needed and they'll come back to fix it. They came back and said it wasn't repairable. Called the office to ask what next and was told the damage was caused by wind therefore, is not covered by warranty. I asked how they knew it was a wind damage as this seems like an assumption and excuse to not fix the damage. The lady I spoke to, can't remember her name. Maybe Jennifer chuckled and said " well I don't know what else could have caused this damage. You're not supposed to have the blinds down because it can't withstand wind more than 25mph". Excuse me??? First of all, we weren't told this. We were told this was a weather resistant blind and how on earth am I supposed to have blinds and expected to keep it up at all times? What is the purpose of the blinds then??? I told her we only keep it down at night and she said, "well, that's when you get the most wind". When else am I supposed to keep the blinds down? During the day when we're sitting in the patio? Or keep it up when it's raining and storming??? These are the times we need the blinds to protect our outdoor furniture and electronics! She did not seem to care at all and said all she could do was give me a quote for a brand new install! Haven't heard back from them since then and they never refunded my $250 either! Very terrible and deceptive company. I'll stay FAR AWAY!!!!

I have used Classic Home Dallas for my entire house…read moreand never had a problem until I have needed to get a repair for something under warranty. I have both shutters and electronic blinds - all from Classic Homes Dallas. One of my electronic blinds stopped working back in August. I was still within my warranty period so reached out to the company to get my shade repaired. I have been mostly speaking with Jennifer. Over the past 3 months, I have heard every excuse to why my repair is taking so long, ie: we changed our systems, cannot find your original order, the company we used for these shades went out of business, the staff in our office quit (yet again - I think like twice now), we cannot find a motor, we are looking for a separate remote, and the latest, we found a motor and cannot seem to locate the hardware! Every excuse made it seem like it was MY FAULT! And when I asked to speak with the owner, Rick, well, he seems to be on vacation quite often. It took less time to get these ordered and installed the first time than to get 1 simple motor replaced. At this point (after 3 months), a new motor should have been ordered and installed - that would have been the right thing to do since it is under warranty. Not offer to give me a pieced together model that may not hold up! Needless to say, my patience has worn out and on top of it, I have a shade that has been hanging down for 3 months - unable to roll up or roll down!! Not great when it is the back of your house in the hot summer when the sun is going down! Every week that I have spoken with Jennifer, there is a new excuse! And at the end of it all, I still have a broken shade that is under warranty. I am just starting the review/complaint process here and will be making a more formal complaint against this company since I am losing all hope that anything will be done. Just thought I would share my experience for those that are shopping for shades! Product looks great, but you better hope something does not go wrong! Still hopeful that Classic Homes Dallas will do the right thing, but since I am at the 3-month mark, I might just be fooling myself and not dealing with reality!

We are on year 2 of an unfinished project. What hurts me the most is how ignored I felt when I asked for updates or progress on the project. I feel brushed off and overcharged. I expected care and professionalism and instead I was left stressed out, disappointed and out of money as I have spent over 10 grand already. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Denise, Haley and Rachel have dissatisfied me beyond words. The amount of time , money and stress this experience caused me was absolutely not worth it.

I asked for an ETA for the refund and the answer is "I don't have control over the refunds". Essentially, Shade Store overcharged me by thousands of dollars and "have no control over" refunding the part they overcharged for about a month now, and takes no initiative in resolving the error. Paid for 2 sets of drapes, received 0 set. Navigating the Shade Store customer service is more frustrating than dealing with a phone directory. P.S.: The automated response generated by the Shade Store on Yelp is an act to look like they care about customer service. Zero attempt has been made to correct their own mistakes.
