This is the nicest little apartment community. While the buildings aren't brand new, everything is kept in excellent repair. Our appliances are newer and work great, and anytime we've had a maintenance need, they've been quick to come assist us. The maintenance staff keep the grounds immaculate, and they are always kind and helpful. The office staff are friendly and cheerful, and they put a lot of effort into planning fun events for the residents. I love how safe this community feels. All the neighbors we've met are great. One of our favorite features of the property is the dog park. It's not huge but definitely big enough for dogs to run around and get some exercise. We also really enjoy the sauna and the hot tub. Overall, I'd highly recommend this apartment community to anyone! read more

My partner and I moved here from out of state. We have had an absolutely wonderful experience living at Stonesthrow. There's such a nice community here. The staff go out of their way to make really fun incentives like Pet of the month, that make us feel really at home. It has been eight days of living with fruit flies and Stonesthrow has done nothing to resolve this stressful and unhealthy situation. This is a pretty awesome place to live. I'm not much for apartment living, however, the Stonesthrow, has been pretty cool. The ladies in the office, are super sweet, super chill, and very understanding!. The maintenance dude, is pretty rad as well! My pup and I, love walking the trails behind our place. I love my 'home' apartment at Stonesthrow! The managers are soooo thoughtful. During the self-isolating due to the Covid-19 they blessed us with treats for Movie Night. We watched what we wanted to at home and they brought around popcorn, soda and candy. While I am praising them, I must say I am also impressed with the maintenance staff. They respond so quickly with repairs and are always friendly. I plan on living here as long as possible. Out of the last 3 apartments I have resided in it is by far the best!! read more

I went to pick up my friend and was chased out of guest parking by some lady in a golf cart. She was aggressive and it was really weird. She said something about problems with people abusing guest parking and said I was fine to park there but I was so weirded by the lady I decided to leave. BEWARE! I work at the hospital next door, went after work to view the apartment complex, the young lady was very knowledgeable on her 4 weeks on the job. She informed me about a 1x1 river view available in mid-August, she showed pictures of the non-renovated unit, and the manager interrupted and stated "if you don't rent the unit today, it will be renovated tomorrow and you will pay 1450$, the application must be submitted by tonight or you pay 1450$!", he was very unprofessional. She handed me a quote for the unit until Friday (walked the unit on Wednesday night). Unfortunately, I was called into work and called at 0900 the following morning when the complex opened informing them I was completing the application, the manager stated "the unit is now 1450$ and getting renovated", and he behavior was unprofessional. The next day, I received a phone call from the young lady stating, "would you like to rent a non-renovated unit for 1200$?" Due to the unprofessionalism of the manager, I would not recommend the complex to any of the staff at the hospital, traveling nurses, etc. I have already informed several people about my experience at Stonesthrow. read more

5 stars! We love it here. My husband and I have lived here for 6 months so far, and are so glad we chose this community. The management staff is great- they reply promptly to any maintenance issues or concerns. Our neighbors are great too, some have lived here for many many years. The area is kept very clean and tidy. They throw parties with prizes! The location is prime- we have two chihuahuas that we walk along Browns Ferry park. Overall very good choice of apartments, we are content. read more

My worst fears came true after moving out. No deposit refund, as the utilities were raised to $100 a month in the summer (and you have to back-pay three months) to "pay for water", despite the fact that so much water is used, the place is a swamp. Not happy. read more

DONT LIVE HERE! I moved from here about a year ago. Up until we moved, we were somewhat satisfied with this complex. The amenities they advertise are out of date and kind of dilapidated, but we always were able to use the hot tub and the racquetball courts when we wanted. A lot of things in the apartment needing fixing that we had to keep doing because it became a hassle to keep calling on the maintenance. The awfulness began when we moved out. We went through an inspection with a maintenance guy who said everything checked out and we were good to go. Then, a month later, we get a bill stating they were keeping our entire deposit and we actually owed them money. I was confused as we had checked out already without any mention of anything that we ended up getting billed for. One thing in particular was a huge melted wax spot in the middle of the floor. This was well documented in our check in sheet we filled out on our first day. We were also charged for an animal cleaning fee ($100). I have a cat who has never urinated on the floor. Why wasn't this mentioned at the check-out? You would think that a strong pet odor would have been addressed. We were also charged for normal wear and tear on the carpets. There was a "stretched carpet" fee, where we were charged $20. It was at the doorway for bathroom. I even tracked down the carpet cleaning business and I asked them what that was. He said it could happen when moving furniture through the door. I told him we didn't move any furniture into that room seeing as it was a BATHROOM! So again, we were charged for typical wear and tear of OLD CARPET, as well as for things we had documented on the day we moved in that were already there. The manager, Marjorie, didn't even do a final walk through with the cleaning guys. She just let them charge whatever they wanted to, and forwarded the bill to us. I asked the cleaning company if they get incentive for the more services they charge... Guess what they said? He couldn't comment on that question. IF you move here, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! Take pictures and do a final walk through with MARJORIE, not the maintenance guy. He will tell you everything looks great, then charge you an arm and a leg for things you didn't do. I have lived in 10 apartments over the last 10 years and this is the first time I have EVER had ANY of my deposit withheld. Watch your back! read more

This place is awesome. The management people are great. The amenities are great. They throw parties during the holidays for all the residents. Convieniently located to the 5. The only downside to Stonesthrow is they charge buku dollars for "Water". Yes Water. Even if you are gone out of town for a week to a month you still have to pay a hefty water charge. Even if you are a hydro-phobic that uses water only to cook and wash clothes with they still charge you a hefty "water" charge. It's completely unfair and possibly illegal but they still do it. "Water" aside, this place is awesome and maybe a bit pricey too, but worth it if you got the money to spend. read more

Abusive cooperate. I paid all my bills and final accounting on time. My job required me to move, thus had to arrange final accounting with their corporate office (which is strange considering all their monthly payments for rent can be handled locally). Jim Cook called two days after I received the final bill and threatened to marr my credit score and rental history if I didn't provide a credit card number now (my bill was not in any shape or form late). Due to the abusive and sketchy nature of the call I didn't provide any such thing, for which I was harassed about my age. I reported the unprofessional activity to the local office. after investigating with their receivables department, they determined Jim cook was a scam. Later in the month, they confirmed that Jim Cook was a bona fide representative of their company and no apology offered for the abuse to date of this posting. read more

This used to be a great community, great management, nice apartments. Since the the management changed, everything went down hill. I lived there for almost 6 years, 4 which were great. They fired all the good staff, and replaced them with minimum wage worker units who cannot comprehend the complications of a large number of families living in a small space. My gf and I attempted to apply. We paid the application fee using the same payment information, and they processed it immediately and ran the application. Later they said that her payment failed and that we'd need to pay it and an addition $35 fee, but we literally were using the same payment info... that's when things got unprofessional, and we got to see how awful their staff really are. I moved from a two bedroom to a one bedroom and during my walk out with maintenance he told me it was the cleanest apartment he had seen in the 8 years he had worked there. There was one dirt spot on the carpet at the entry that I was told would cost $50 for the total carpet cleaning. When I got the bill it was over $100. When I called the new manager Gosia she told me it wasn't her problem that I needed to call the owners. I told her that was her job and she hung up on me!!! Living here so far has been great! Quick response to any problems that may arise, friendly & professional office staff. The neighborhood includes a park and natural wetlands & trails to walk along the Tualatin River. I am very excited about the dog park that is to replace the volleyball park too. HORRIBLE APARTMENTS! Every appliance I have in my apartment has broke, One time my fridge broke FULL of food, I told them this is a emergency. THEY CAME THREE DAYS LATER. Food destroyed. I also had this huge tomato plant growing outside of my porch it was so big it was nearly growing into my apartment. I wanted to see how long it took for my apartments to pull it. They never did so I did it. A year has past and I don't have money to move, So my apartments decided to raise my rent over 150$! I told them about my past experience here and all they could say back is "Unfortunally we are all new management here so the rate is staying." These apartments are disgusting. I am appald for living here and hope I can save money and get out. 1050$ a month for a small one bedroom shit shack. read more

We recently moved out of this apartment after living there for 2 years. When we started living there we thought it was going to be a great option for us, we should have known otherwise. Had a few hiccups with the leasing office the day of move in which eventually worked out. All moved in and within a month of being there we realized the windows were a big problem. They are older windows and the seal between the window panes was broken. All of the windows in the apartment, especially the one in our bedroom where the seal was broken, collected a lot of condensation which allowed mold to grow. We never thought it would be a problem to worry about since we've lived in other apartments before and we know we live in Oregon so it's just the way things can be sometimes. After cleaning it up, I informed the leasing office and the lady I spoke to brushed it off and just said it was "normal" and that it's just the area and "everyone in the apartment deals with it" and that we just have to regularly clean it. My boyfriend and I are very clean people and always allows air flow in the apartment, turn fans on and keep doors open. I had a hard time believing everyone dealt with it but didn't have much of a choice. We spent our first winter cleaning all of the weekly condensation and mold growth. It was pretty ridiculous and we spent so much money buying anti mold products, damprids etc to help with it. It was just a big fat headache. I just couldn't believe that people could live like this and be happy with it. That first winter we lived there both my boyfriend and myself were sick numerous times and spent so much money on cold medications. I am 100% confident that we were sick so much because of the mold growing in the windows and we were constantly breathing it in, no matter how much cleaning was done. Luckily once the weather warmed up and it was spring and summer we never had a problem. We renewed our lease for another year, with the hopes that the new leasing office management company would be helpful and with the rental market, it was hard to find something within our budget. We decided to talk to the leasing office again considering it was getting into the colder months and didn't want to deal with it anymore. The lady who I originally talked to about the mold did not work there anymore and the lady I talked with, Allison, was very helpful with putting in a work order for the maintenance guy to come take a look that same day. He evaluated it and explained he would have a mold specialist come in and examine the windows. Their conclusion was there was a lot of saturation on the windowsills and there was mold present. Maintenance said they would replace the window sills, which they did and it was great. However, they said at least three times that they would come back and paint them but never did. Really annoying but we knew we would be moving out soon enough. Overall, I do not believe this is a good place to live and I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. I enjoy living here, especially after living at a bigger newer complex before moving here. Yes it is more dated, but the quality of living is better for me. Less people = better and less crowded. The staff is always kind and works to resolve any issues. Eric, Ronald and Marshall go above and beyond and are so kind. There are walking trails, a kayaking place, a park next door, and it's so close to shopping and food. I appreciate that the covered parking is available and affordable. The place I lived before had NO parking and the covered spots were triple the cost of what they are here. I don't have any issues with neighbors. Seems like good people and families by me. I do hear the ambulances going to the hospital a lot but it doesn't bother me. I plan to live here until I buy a house. Disclaimer: I can't comment on the move out process because I haven't gone through it, but judging by the other reviews I'd expect to lose my full deposit even though I'm very clean. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. I have been a GREAT resident for the last 2 years. ALWAYS paid my rent and bills on time. NEVER had a complaint from anyone. MARGE who is the manager is the WORST MANAGER I have EVER encountered. Upon giving my 60 day notice that I would be moving I thought everything was fine and taken care of. Well when it came down to it I was FINED for having a moving truck after 3pm. I was also FINED for parking as well as POINTLESS miscellaneous FINES for a TOTAL of $517. It was fucking outrageous. She WILL get you with stupid charges upon move out. WORST MANAGER EVER! Acts like a child. I repeatedly called and left messages for her to call me back and she NEVER once got back to me. I moved out of town and had to make a trip to Tualatin just to try to get her to talk to me. Again I was a GREAT resident and I cannot believe I was treated like this. First of all I do not normally write reviews, but I HAD to write something about this place to warn any future apartment seekers. I've lived here for almost two years and seen the management staff turn over several times. And amazingly, the staff always seems just as bad even after all new hires. This place just seems to attract miserable people with bad attitudes and no sense of customer service (referring to the office staff, not so much the maintenance crew or the residents). There is also a HORRIBLE spider problem here. I am about to move so I have been visiting other apartments and everywhere I go there are spotless metal car ports, and very few if any cobwebs are visible in the building breezeways. Here I pay $ to park under the carport, because there are hardly enough non-covered spots, and there are literally hundreds of webs above my car. They drop "droppings" on my vehicle and I have to wash it weekly. I walk through spider webs weekly whether it be going to my car to in the breezeway going to my apt door, where there are always several cobwebs. I have complained numerous times, and they literally argue with me each time and robotically say they have a guy that sprays, never actually checking to make sure that he or she is doing their job. The fact that they argue is horrible customer service. I have talked to other neighbors and we all agree we have never seen or heard any person spraying for bugs. And it is obvious based on how many webs there are everywhere. Also, lights flicker all over. This place is super dark. Horribly lit. Lights along the path have been burned out for almost 8 months. They don't notice because the management staff cares for this place about as much as a cat cares for a mouse. Maintenance staff is friendly but I swear they are all stoners - takes days for them to show up after a problem is reported and then they move at 1mph when they arrive, and talk your ear off the whole time. (Again, at least they are friendly, though.) Also, walking through the complex always smells like crap. Residents don't clean their dog poo even though there are doggy bag stands. Also the drainage on the complex paths is terrible. I have slipped an hurt myself badly before and there is mud everywhere along the path. Either you're stepping in water puddles or mud. It's Oregon, people! Know that when you open an apartment complex business, you need to have plenty of lighting for the dark-early months, good drainage for the rain, and spray for bugs and spiders daily. Bad management is usually the result of a bad owner and I am convinced that the owner is just a big tycoon or mobster or something and has forgotten that they even own this complex. My roommates and I call it the slums. A giant black rat scurried across my path about 6 inches in front of my feet as I was walking out my door once. It was the cherry on the top for me. I just laugh about it now and can't wait until my lease ends so I can get out of this hell hole. "Upperclass living" their sign says. HA! Do yourself a huge favor and DON'T LIVE HERE! read more
