Houser Roofing made me spend thousands of dollars replacing parts of the roof that didn't need replacement. These guys spent 5 minutes on the roof and found the source of the leak.

I had a roof leak due to faulty solar installation. I called several roofing companies and the only…read moreone that showed up was Penaloza. Within two days from my request, Arturo came out and gave me an estimate to pull the solar panels and repair the roof. Originally the estimate was for two sheets of plywood and 70 sq ft of shingles. Due to the poor solar installation more area was involved When the job was completed, it involved removing approximately 30 panels and pulling the shingles and decking under them. It took about 4 days to complete the repairs. They cleaned up every day and it looked as if nothing was out of place. When finished they had replaced the solar panels. All is great. Leak stopped, solar panels are producing as they were before (BTW do not recommend solar, Long Story). I would use Penaloza again! They seem to be a full-service contractor. Arturo also gave me an estimate on repainting the house but will be waiting for a while on that. His price for both jobs was excellent!

They came out and repaired the leak. It did not leak for two years. November 2022 my roof leaked in the same spot. I reached out to Andrew James and left a message on his voicemail. He never returned my phone calls. I found Jason listed with Texas Grand Roofing and reached out to him. I did not indicate to him at that time that it was him and Andrew who had put the roof on in 2018 like I had in my message to Andrew. Jason seemed appalled that a company would leave me in the bind I currently found myself. Of course, he didn't know it was his company. He contacted Andrew James and was having him come right out to give me a quote. After that communication I never heard from Jason again either. Upon hiring a great roofing company to do the repairs, I learned that Woodforest Roofing/Andrew James and Jason or TX Grand Roofing fixed my roof by caulking around the leak which is why it started leaking two years later. I got bids on the first group from three companies. H Bond's bid was not the lowest but I chose them for 3 reasons. 1) A neighbor who used them recommended them highly. 2) Their estimator, Spencer, was more professional than folks from the other companies, and 3) Their proposal explained what they would do in detail, showing they understood what had to be done. But the best was yet to come! My biggest problem involved columns on my back porch that had moved. Without jacking the roof it was impossible to tell how much work they would take to fix. It turned out to be an easy job, and I know many companies might have left it at that and pocketed the full contract price. But Spencer contacted me and said for what I had paid they could fix the next batch of problems, water damage in various parts of the ceiling and a wall. H Bond did a fantastic job with these problems and with refinishing the eight foot tall french doors on the front of the house. I was extremely satisfied with their honesty, dependability and high quality work. I will use H Bond to fix the rest of the house's discrepancies.
