    Stains on mattress

Was supposed to stay here for an extended stay but after looking over our beds I quickly checked out!!! We were in a cabin that had the kitchen available, which was not very impressive to begin with. Seemed very dark and unwelcoming. So once we saw the room we were expecting a full beds. After all we told them we had kids. They had a pull out couch and a a full bed. Ok didn't like that so bring be to my room check up! I always bring my own clorox wipes and disinfect the room myself and check the beds. The pull out coach was covered in stains looked like blood/ bed bug marks. Not sure but yuk!!! It was on the bedding as well!! No way!! We checked out immediately!!!

Spent time here twice in the last few months the first was in a king room with whirlpool, clean room and comfortable bed. My girlfriend enjoyed spending time in the pool and hot tub. The second time went a few nights in a themed suite Cody's hideaway. It had a comfortable bed and my girlfriend enjoyed the whirlpool (she always does it seems ) both rooms were clean and we enjoyed our stay in both rooms. The breakfast both days were hot and tasty sausage eggs toast and sausage gravy and biscuits. The only problem I found was they didn't have anymore stoneycreek merch in their gift shop, just snacks. I was looking forward to buying some mementos of our stay there. We will definitely return to stay at this wonderful hotel. I just love the cabin log look and the employees we encounter were nice

I like the cabin feel of the hotel. Over all, it's a very nice hotel. Twice, it took several minutes before I could be helped at the front desk, even after ringing the bell. Most recently, the sink drips and some of the other amenities appear to need updating, so this would improve the aesthetic. It appears the carpets will be getting updated, so that's a plus.

I have stayed in this hotel many times but this time our service was excellent all around. I was in a friends wedding that was here and all the the staff really stepped up and was so accommodating. But my biggest shout out was the front desk employee Cody. He was so nice. So helpful. Just so happy. He was so welcoming when I arrived. I was one of those annoying guests who needed a last minute change in rooms and I also needed an early check in. He was just so cool about everything and never got annoyed with my "and can you's" So overall my stay was great. My room was great. Big and very spacious. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. I stayed in Room 110. I'm definitely a customer for life! Only con was that The bartender in the main lobby bar was pretty grumpy. She always is. No small talk. Not friendly. Never even smiled. She was kind of a buzz kill.

    Nice and clean

I stayed here for 4 days and we got snowed in and I loved it. Stoney creek was very comfortable and very good vibe. If I ever go back to Moline Illinois, I'm for sure staying here again.

Yes, that's a full size moose.

I really had a nice stay here for work this past week…read more Despite it being located rightnext to the airport, I only heard 2 airplanes during my 5 day stay. So it was quiet, my room was very clean, updated (it smelled very faintly of fresh paint), conveniently located right off I-80, PLENTY of parking (which I very much appreciate!), and the WiFi worked well. If you are doing business in Davenport, it's only about a 15 minute drive to get over the bridge and into town. Worth it if other hotels on the Iowa side are more expensive for whatever reason. Highly recommend this HI Express!

The complimentary continental breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices each morning. There was also lots of seating, making it easy to enjoy breakfast without feeling crowded. The bed was firm, but still comfortable enough. The pillows were just okay--I think they could use replacing because they didn't provide enough support. The walk-in shower was an interesting design, with only a partial wall and no curtain or shower door. Unfortunately, the floor became very slippery when wet, and I felt like I could easily fall. Adding non-slip strips would make it much safer. There was only one grab bar, and it was on the opposite side of the shower, so I didn't feel very secure. The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service. We requested room service every other day and even spoke with the front desk and called to follow up. Despite that, soap and shampoo were not refilled, toilet paper was not restocked, and the room was neither dusted nor vacuumed. The only consistent service was replacing the towels. When I asked the housekeeper if she had vacuumed the room, she simply replied, "No." We ended up vacuuming the room ourselves. I would have given this hotel a higher rating if the housekeeping had matched the quality of the staff and the rest of the hotel.

A person would think they would have more available on the property itself. The idea is to keep people at the casino and playing. We go off property for lunch also. I don't know maybe a person needs to bring food along like packing for a picknick? ‍We bought two cups of black coffee at $3.50 each and the coffee was barely warm. Many of themed slots they had for years that we did like to play are gone. We have fewer for choices, that's for sure. At least they have kept some of the older slots which is a plus. We had some problems with our room. Our mattress at home is a newer firm mattress. The mattress here appeared to be a newer one and it wasn't firm....it was outright HARD. Just about like laying on a piece of plywood, well almost. My wife could only sleep on it about 3-4 hours and then slept on the couch. That wasn't much more comfortable. Maybe they got some deal on them when they replaced a number of them at once or something? If that's what happened we don't think it was a very good deal. And this is from people such as us that prefer a firm mattress so, IDK. Some problem with HVAC. If you get the temp about correct for the front room the bedroom is very cold. Confusing thermostat, no selection if it's set for heat or A/C. Just arrows up and down for temp. I've never seen a thermostat like that anywhere that I've ever stayed before, not ever. We tried to call down and get a blanket from housekeeping or the front desk but when you press the buttons on the phone for housekeeping or front desk they are "busied out". They just go to a busy signal and that's it. Bad enough if just staying for one night, but more than one night, not good. Seemed like to us that some taking are of the customer is in need.

Shoot, there's even a bowling alley on-site. What a gem! I stayed at the Hotel Blackhawk a Saturday in December. The rooms were super unique. Walking in all you see is a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. Next to a couch and chair with a tv. But alas! Around the corner was the bedroom with large bathroom. The floor plan is super unique. A co-worker from the area told me that in the early 2000s (2006?) a fire started in a meth lab on the eighth floor. It was that fire that prompted new ownership and a multi million restoration. The entire project took just over two years. And boy did they do a good job. The Hotel Blackhawk is connected via skywalks to the RiverCenter/Adler Theatre and Raddison Quad City Plaza Hotel. While, technically, the Hotel Blackhawk is a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel-- it is independently owned and operated. Without a doubt when I am in the Quad Cities next I will be staying at the Hotel Blackhawk and you know what? You should, too.

The lobby is the only good part!! The room was dingy, the mini fridge buzzed all night and many toiletries were empty. Then to make everything worse the maid started banging on my door at 9 am!!! I asked her why she did that since check out is 11 and she rudely called down the hall, "SOME PEOPLE LEAVE EARLY." I am very disturbed by the lack of kind communication and I have never experienced this at any other hotel, let alone one that cost $300 a night. Each and every staff member I had the pleasure of interacting with was rude, curt, and did not seem to care that they work in the service industry, perhaps they should get jobs where they don't have to interact with customers . I do have a disability that causes my speech to be slower and sometimes it is hard to understand what I'm saying. But that is no excuse to treat a paying guest with contempt. I am deeply disappointed and feel scammed by my stay at this hotel. Do better. Train your staff to have kindness and professional communication. This is the bare minimum.
