Overall, we had a nice 6-day, 6-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The complimentary continental breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices each morning. There was also lots of seating, making it easy to enjoy breakfast without feeling crowded. The bed was firm, but still comfortable enough. The pillows were just okay--I think they could use replacing because they didn't provide enough support. The walk-in shower was an interesting design, with only a partial wall and no curtain or shower door. Unfortunately, the floor became very slippery when wet, and I felt like I could easily fall. Adding non-slip strips would make it much safer. There was only one grab bar, and it was on the opposite side of the shower, so I didn't feel very secure. The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service. We requested room service every other day and even spoke with the front desk and called to follow up. Despite that, soap and shampoo were not refilled, toilet paper was not restocked, and the room was neither dusted nor vacuumed. The only consistent service was replacing the towels. When I asked the housekeeper if she had vacuumed the room, she simply replied, "No." We ended up vacuuming the room ourselves. I would have given this hotel a higher rating if the housekeeping had matched the quality of the staff and the rest of the hotel. read more

I've been using this hie location at least twice a year for over 6 years. The front desk has always been very courteous and accommodating. For instance when my flights have been delayed they were still able to send a shuttle for me. Granted, the hotel is only 200 yards away, but hauling luggage at midnight through a parking for a senior lady is not safe. Oh, take a taxi or Uber? They don't have them there at the airport. I can stay till daylight when they can send a shuttle but I will be the only living soul at the airport until then. So spoke to someone who said they couldn't accommodate me and was not helpful today. read more

***BEWARE -- BED BUGS*** The have something called "OVERFLOW ROOMS" My wife assumed this was just like any other room we have stayed in before as Member. what we didn't know until we entered room was the old unremolded rooms people left negative comments about. They had assured the hotel had been remodeled except for "OVERFLOW ROOMS" . The old mattress still with BED BUGS. HOW DOES a remodel hotel keep mattresses with BED BUGS. Such a wonderful experience staying here! The entire facility is clean, they require mask, everyone I encountered was friendly. The room exceeded expectations as it had a microwave and fridge. Very clean very nice! You literally have to drive on to the airport campus to get to this airport. It is not a traffic nightmare by any means. The Moline Airport is rather small. Very conveniently located. I'm not sure if this hotel is brand new but it does appear to be very new. Very clean rooms, clean Lobby and breakfast area. The service and staff were excellent. Couldn't ask for a better group of people. If you're a frequent business traveler who stays at IHG hotels, you may agree that the Holiday Inn Express hotels can be hit-or-miss. Sometimes they are very modern and new and other times they are somewhat cleaned up old Holiday Inns that just add the word "Express" at the end of the name. This is one of the newer and nicer hotels. Would I go back? I think for going in and out of Moline, and the surrounding areas, this would be my first choice of a hotel. read more

New Holiday Inn Express! The perfect place to stay when visiting the QC. This is a very nice hotel and everything is nice and new. The staff were friendly and did a great job. I would have given this five stars if I hadn't found hair on the sheets and not one. Looked like they didn't change the sheets. The bed was firm, but not terrible. The pillows were the usual - flat and not supportive. The TV was nice and I loved the refrigerator, a great place to keep a few brews. The bathroom was a little small, but not a problem for one person. The shower was interesting in that there was no curtain or shower door. Very little water came out. The room had a good view of the trees by the river changing to fall colors. Even though it is close to a busy highway and airport I never heard a thing. My room had a cool chair and it was comfortable to watch TV I would definitely stay here again if in the area. read more

It's a typical Holiday Inn Express. The staff is courteous and the rooms are always clean at these places. The rooms were a little pricey on Friday night I guess a lot of stuff was going on around the area. $170 per night, that's a little steep in my opinion. IHG finally gets a clue and brings back the old style cinnamon rolls at the breakfast area. They had been using Cinnabon Rolls which were really really nasty. I used to stay at the Holiday Inn Express all the time as I travel about 120 nights a year. Once they switched the cinnamon rolls out for breakfast I quit staying there. Obviously they've gotten a clue because of all the complaints and return to the old product which is a good move for them. read more

I really had a nice stay here for work this past week. Despite it being located rightnext to the airport, I only heard 2 airplanes during my 5 day stay. So it was quiet, my room was very clean, updated (it smelled very faintly of fresh paint), conveniently located right off I-80, PLENTY of parking (which I very much appreciate!), and the WiFi worked well. If you are doing business in Davenport, it's only about a 15 minute drive to get over the bridge and into town. Worth it if other hotels on the Iowa side are more expensive for whatever reason. This was a great hotel. It's brand new and we had a very comfortable stay. The room: The bed was firm, but comfy. There was a nice leather chair to relax in (and sit in while feeding our baby), the bathroom was modern and very clean. The only downside I could see was that the fridge wasn't anchored down and my husband had a hard time opening it without pulling it out from it's nook. The hotel: The breakfast was great. I've always been a have of HIE's continental breakfast. The dining area was clean and provided a great place for our extended family to meet up at night and visit. There isn't a bar but they keep beer and wine in stock in the vending fridge. We were able to easily purchase a few beers and charge it to our room. Location: Right next to the airport and the interstate. Was easy to find and get to. Staff: All very friendly and accommodating. We were in town for a funeral and they worked with one of our family members to get an affordable rate. read more

There were several things going on in the lobby and in the breakfast area due to many guests checking out and getting ready for the day but she (Ramsey) gave us her full attention. My bestie and I stayed here Friday April 13th As soon as we pulled up it looked amazing and it was!! We walked inside and were greeted by two young ladies that were smiling very friendly and very accommodating!! I used to work as a housekeeper so I don't normally like to stay at hotels just because you never know what's really clean but I was impressed!! The room was extremely clean nice and comfy but didn't break the bank either. The have a pool jacuzzi weight room and business center,we only used the pool area but it was clean and seemed well maintained. We drank a lot and stayed up till 4 (lol) so we didn't get to enjoy breakfast but I'm sure it was jus as great as everything else this hotel has!! I am not sure how new it is but it looked brand new!! We will def make be staying here the next time we come up for sure!! read more

I literally thanked God for this hotel! We traveled from Niagra Falls and were on our way back to SD. We had to stop somewhere, and everyone was tired after an entire day of driving. Would you believe that after 3 hours of searching, and 7 stops, every hotel along the way was sold out?!?! We almost settled for this Day Inn that seemed as though it came straight out of Pyscho. Seriously, from Illinois to SD, there were LOADS of small little towns that were creepy as hell, especially when it's pitched black outside... That Day Inn in particular offered a room with 2 Queen Bed for $58, it was so cheap... Too good to be true, and being a fan of horror movies, that should've been a red flag. Please, for your safety and peace of mind, steer clear of these little towns and and run down hotels/motels, instead aim for something like this Holiday Inn, even if it's a little pricer, it is well worth it. I LOVE THIS HOTEL! It's so great. Right next to the airport if you are coming in and need a place to stay, but the best part is it's brand spanking new. Only 5 weeks old. The staff was very accommodating. We came in at midnight and asked if we could check out at a later time than their usual 11 AM, she kindly allowed us to stay till 12 PM. (That's 1 star right there) The room was brand new; everything was gorgeous! I wanted to take a quick shower, and their bathroom was !$&@ AMAZING!!! Beautiful layout, it seemed never before used even (and being only 5 weeks old, I can believe it). (That's the 2nd star earned) Our room was right next to one of their air units outside, and somehow, we heard nothing all night. Those things are supposed to be pretty loud!!! The beds were great, and super comfortable. (That's their 3rd star from me.) Breakfast was the last thing on my mind, but everyone wanted to eat before we started driving again. Hell, it was free, so why not save $50 eating here instead of at a restaurant. Now, mind you, I've always been a skeptical of these generic free breakfasts at hotels, but this was something else. Fresh fruit, new bread and bagels changed every 20 minutes or so, new muffins out every 10 minutes. Biscuits were almost always gone as soon as they come out, and they even had delicious turkey and pork sausage, hot every time they ran out. A wide selection of yogurt was available, and two brands available (Chobani and one other, both really good). Like their billboards advertised, yes there was soft and fluffy cinnamon buns! Oh and did I mention a freaking pancake machine?!?! (A yummy breakfast worthy the 4th star.) This Holiday Inn literally saved us from a night in the car. We were scared out of our wits from these shady motels and hotels in the smaller cities. We would've slept in the car in the airport parking lot rather than stay at places like that Day Inn (I swear, even the staff there seemed like they were casts from a horror movie... Like I would not be in one piece after a night there). We were done after hundreds of miles, it was the dead of the night, rundown motels started looking like 4 star hotels, and we were minutes away from calling it quits and "sleeping" in the car. At $128 a night before tax, this Holiday Inn was our saving grace. You can't pay me to write these reviews, I only write reviews for REALLY REALLY terrible places or out-of-this world places. This was one if the latter. This Holiday Inn deserved every star, here's to being well rested and full after a long, tiring drive, they deserved the 5th star. TL;DR: STAY HERE!!! Eat their breakfast. Enjoy your vacation/trip. If you are 50~ miles from it and are thinking about stay at some unknown town, in something that gives you the creeps, fight it, wash your face, chug some coffee, and drive for the extra 30-40 mins. This was a great local hotel. As a frequent business traveler, I can definitely appreciate the amenities. In this case, we stayed there during a weekend family visit. The staff was incredibly helpful. Every request was met with quick and sincere action and responses. The hotel itself was clean. They had great amenities-from full cable tv to 24 hour coffee in the lobby, a complimentary hot breakfast, and store for water and snacks. The beds were comfortable. We have literally no complaints. Really a nice surprise. I was in Moline for business and booked this place through work. All I can say is, this hotel exceeded my expectations on just about every level: cleanliness, modernity, comfort and quiet! How do they keep it so quiet when it's across the street from an airport?? The only issue I had was with the shower situation- there was literally no shelf to put all my toiletries. I have never seen anything like that. There was only a tiny soap dish. Also, some towels were fluffy and some were not. But the bed was comfy, there was a big fridge and a new TV. I felt very comfortable and safe and would definitely stay again. read more

Absolutely loved this hotel. Super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We love staying at HIE's, but is now our favorite of them all. We loved the August promotion of Pancakes at Night ! We took full advantage of this and would recommended making this a permanent thing. It is a good place to stay for transit /commuters. Easy on and off interstate 80. Efficient check in, clean and spacious room, nice staff and surprisingly quiet.
