I was truly in awe by the items we saw on the display. It was educational and I feel I learned a lot. The museum is two floors worth of exhibits and a rooftop deck where you can look out onto the surrounding island. The museum also offered lectures, discussions, and documentaries you could engage with throughout the day. When we arrived they had a schedule displayed for the days events. I felt this was worth the cost of admission and was a must see stop on our trip to Nantucket.

Fact: Joseph Atwood's career at sea began at the age of ten years old which was normal at the time. The main house, built in the mid-1700's, continued with the original family in residence through the 1930's. Sold to the local historical association in the 1950's, the museum houses diverse exhibits on so many aspects of Cape Cod culture. The docents show great knowledge and enthusiasm.
