I also noticed that they thoughtfully display and sell small sample bottles (the kind used during airline flight service) in refrigerators. Free delivery is available to surrounding communities. But the most alluring aspect is that you could sip a chilled can of local beer at one of the shaded wooden picnic tables, while enjoying take out pizza from the Roxbury Pizza Station (also located in commercial cluster). When I had asked even my favorite neighborhood liquor store where I live in NYC, they told me to order it, I'd need to buy a case. My friend is great and all, but he's not getting $1200 worth of good tequila. #sorrynotsorry In any case, I tried Cellar XV knowing from past experience that they have unique items, but unfortunately they did not have it. I have my name and number just in case, but had pretty much given up hope. The very next day I received a call from Doug and he said he had it in hand! I was shocked and thrilled (nothing better than finding the perfect gift) and just went to pick it up this weekend and he had it ready and waiting for me. The man behind the counter or who owns it, I didn't get his name was helpful, down to earth and went above and beyond. I had recently had skin cancer surgery on my Head and had a bandage. He sympathized and said he had the same thing. That's the guy I'm talking about. Helpful, knowledgeable and, did the following: my wife wanted a small bottle , that is a split of champagne. He pulled out one for us and said "no you don't want that one that's Moët, too Expensive. ' He thereafter showed my wife a three pack of Prosecco. He said this is what you want. He volunteered that, in fact, he would split it up and sell us just one if that's what we wanted. It would've been so easy for him to say "no, I'm sorry you'll have to buy all three." he also directed me away from a beer I was thinking of buying saying "no, you don't want that stuff, it's drunks' juice." when I said we were taking it to a Lebanese restaurant and we are not sure that they could open it, he volunteered to give us a can opener. In addition a customer said he was a vegan and had been to the restaurant, and said yeah they'll open it for you. Too much. A great place to go to get some liquor, or a beer and meet a nice group of people.
