What an absolutely delightful and friendly experience. Staff is very engaging, outgoing, generous with their time and knowledgeable about their wines. We enjoyed our experience so much that we visited twice in the same day, bringing a friend from out of town on the second visit. The interior of the winery is very open and spacious, with plenty of room to breathe, enjoy good conversation, and partake in wine samplings and flights. Plenty of room on the outside porch which wraps around a beautiful looking building with lovely views of the surrounding area. The wine itself was excellent, with many flavorful, nuances and bold individuality. What I like about this winery is that they tend to focus on dry wines, which are my personal favorite, and not some of the sweeter varietals that you'll see at other Pennsylvania wineries. Stand out favorites include the Cabernet Savignon Reserve, the Chardonnay Reserve, Albarino, Flagship Red and Symphony. Honestly, I enjoyed everyone that I tried. There are more than a dozen wineries in the Lehigh Valley that are worth visiting and Stony Run is definitely near the top. read more

Not sure how this place has a low rating but I came here today (an hour drive) with my two girlfriends and it was a pleasant experience. We immediately were greeted by a worker and seated. You should make a reservation before you come (call ahead) and you can only stay for about 1-1.5 hours before they sort of nudge you. Various wine tasting options and cheeses, meats, veggies and I believe even some chocolates. I have been to Vynecrest, Clover Hill and Folino Estate nearby however this place wasn't bad. If it was warmer today I would've definitely have wanted to sit outside on the elevated wrap around deck because the view is nice. Will be back again, the staff were incredibly friendly. They even suggested a photo area because they saw we were trying to take photos together :) read more

Visited Stony Run a couple weeks ago with my hubby, but have never had this kind of service at another winery. Carolyn was very knowledgeable. She made our tasting educational and fun. She knew exactly what we'd like. We always drink the same stuff so was great she got us to expand our palates. We bought several bottles. Bethany was also amazing too! Both ladies made our time so enjoyable. And the wines are the best around! We definitely have a reason to come back. All wineries should have such a fun, educational wine tasting. Love to learn and try new wines. We did that plus much more. The outdoor view is gorgeous and the new event room and charcuterie boards are to die for! This place has a lot of potential. The exterior of the building is absolutely gorgeous. When you step inside, however, the vibe is like you have walked into an outdated nursing home. They seemed very slow for a Saturday, but our sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable on the wine. They have a nice outdoor seating area and what appeared to be a tent for live music. With the ratings of this place being high and hearing good things about this place.. I was upset when I arrived. Atmosphere was strange, felt like I was in an elderly home. Sound bounces off the wall so you cant even here someone talking right next to you. Their "sweet" wines are not sweet, at all.. and their so called "meat & cheese" board that rakes in $14 a pop, is no bigger than the size of my two hands, and consists of 6 small pieces of cheese, 3 folded pieces of meat, maybe 5 Townhouse crackers, & a whole lot of pears, pickles, and oranges... might as well have called it a fruit tray. I personally do not recommend, and lesson learned.. don't buy a tray before you see what you're spending your money on. There are way better winery's that have better wine and cheaper prices in the surrounding area! read more

Really beautiful place, super nice staff, need to revisit in the spring or summer. However, the wines were not the best. No ports but sweet wines were not very sweet and others were somewhat underwhelming. We really liked the place but may not return based on the wines which is somewhat of a disappointment. read more

I called on Thursday to verify that they would be open the following day from 12-4 as advertised. The woman I spoke to double checked with a coworker and said YES, we will be open. I made sure to ask that we would be able to enjoy wine on the deck, and inquired about food options. The employee reassured me that my group would be able to purchase wine/food to enjoy on their deck. Needless to say, we showed up on the Friday at 12pm and the doors were locked, and phone was giving us a busy signal when we tried to call. Poor customer service! We left and went up the street to Vynecrest, a tried and true winery with great views, great food, and plenty of wine! The view and ambiance at this new Stony Run location has so much potential, but with this false advertising and poor customer service, I don't know what will make me want to come back to try it again! How will I know they will actually be open!?! read more
