Though Alec is a great guy and I o not fault him, I do want to share with others just how…read moremisleading State Farm's Drive Safe and Save program is. It should be named "Stay Home and Save". I've tried it twice - in Kansas and Michigan - and both times I got a great discount the first 6 months but then they said I drove to many miles and the discount went from $60+ a month to $3. I am disabled and the only time I go anywhere is to the grocery store or doctor appointment. I see family once or twice a year amounting to less than an additional 1k miles. The truth is they lure you in the first year and then take it back all so they can collect your data for free. Where do you shop, get gas? We all know that our data is more valuable than gold these days. They are selling it, using it for those CEO' s making millions in bonuses every year. It's not worth another big brother monitoring your every move. Don't bother setting this up. Or, at least, be prepared to drop it 6 months. Make them share the profits received from your data.

I'm a tech-guy and I absolutely love how efficient they are with their system…read more When it's all done, we get a nicely archivable full PDF of my return and the refund arrives via ACH into my account. We're confident they've done more than their due-diligence to make sure we're not paying any more taxes than we need to be. While the X-Tax Lansing facilities and locations may not be the best or most convenient for everyone, their web-based system is top-notch. 5 years ago we moved out of Lansing and we learned the hard way that we should've stayed with X-Tax for our returns. We began using another service (much closer to our home) for a couple years and it cost more money and resulted in an error on their part that got us audited. (Not to mention they found far fewer allowable deductions the year we weren't audited.) Even when we got audited, this other firm barely seemed to care. We learned our lesson and had X-Tax do our amendment and got our incorrectly-audited money refunded. (FWIW, this other Accounting firm has much nicer facilities but their attention-to-detail and accountability were terrible compared to our experiences with X-Tax.) The last few years we've done our return remotely via the X-Tax web portal by uploading our tax documents and responding to requests for clarifications/info via their system. Between the text notifications and email messages, I can't imagine them being any more timely or efficient than they already are. I find them to be very affordable, professional, and well-organized. Absolutely full stars from me!

THAT WE ALL PAID FOR!!! flat out, especially the woman. I'm not sure who the woman is maybe the secretary, especially her straight out denied us each and each one of us individually on a separate policy we just never had. The conversation among us denied all of us roadside assistance when we needed it. It's unacceptable. First of all not everybody can afford new was trying to say that we were all abusing the system, I'm sorry ma'am. There is no abuse of the system. Some people can't afford brand new cars OK and some people have the misfortune of their down. I don't know what you drive but not that great and insurance is to ensure me that if I'm out there in the cold or if I'm out there with my children and I'm stranded and I need help you're supposed to come and help us and I'm gonna report you guys just so you know that it really makes me upset. I thought that you guys were just doing that to me but you're doing that to everybody and My Son was out there with kids one day. When you denied him.!! and I'll be reporting you guys to the Better Business Bureau as well. I think there's a log against this and I'm gonna find out if there is.
