I was quoted 100. per item to sauter a rose gold and white gold chain at Express Jewley and Repairs, a kiosk on the first floor of the Westfield Cilver Coty mall. that price seemed exorbitant so I decided to walk into another jewelry store called Kevin jewelers to get a comparison. Kevin jewelers only repairs jewelry bought at their establishment so he referred stop and fix which is on the second floor to give me a fair price and repair my items quickly. I was quoted no joke $28 per item to repair in front of me because I didn't want any diamonds to be swapped out. I appreciate their professionalism and their honesty and their expedience. I will definitely be coming back to stop and fix because, like the kind gentleman told me at Kevin jewelers, "Stop and Fix iwill give you the most fair price and please tell them that I referred you." I had to come in to get a screw put into these $600 Versace glasses. Yes people, I'm cheap when it comes to some things, but not when it comes to my shades! LOL Stop and Fix is no joke, and they not only got the job done but did it within a blink of an eye. 10 bucks to have a nice screw put in to the left arm of the eyeglasses. Is that correct? Is that part of the glases called an arm? In any case, I was in and out. As mentioned in a few of the pictures, you have to love the fact that their hours beats others hands down. Working just as hard on a Sunday as any other day of the week. For many of us, with a Monday through Friday grind, then being open on the weekends particularly a Sunday is a major plus. read more

If I could give this store 10 stars, it wouldn't be enough! I purchased online a replacement band for my smart Polar watch. It's tricky since the band has sensors that transmit signals to the watch. I could have tried to do it myself, but removing the old band was difficult. I came to stop and fix to have it installed. The mom and pop owners were very nice. But, oh sh_t! I forgot half the band. The Dad said no problem, he already put one side on. He put it into an envelope and said just to come back. The hard part was removing the old band, so I told the owners I would try to fix it myself and if I couldn't I'd come back. I even offered to pay now. Dad said no worries. If I installed it myself self, no charge. Well, I did get home and put the other side of the band on. But I have an expensive Nixon watch that needs a battery and/or repair. Love this place! I went in for a replacement battery for my watch and the gentleman that fixed it was awesome. He pointed out that the face of the watch had something wrong with it which was interfering with the time updating. He charged me $20 to remove the loose part and give me a new battery and all of this took me 7 minutes. Park near the food court and go down the escalator. read more

Took my sunglasses to get repaired and they totally messed them up. The lady insisted to fix them and charged me a price of almost $40 to mess up my sunglasses, when I came to pick them up, she acted as if everything was ok even after they totally melted the plastic. After just moving back to LA, I needed my watch repaired. Ran in mall saw this place and guy said only $10 for battery. I said okay then he popped open watch back and said, " you have a warranty at Fast Fix til 2021..." I said oh right but think place is at other mall. He told me about another place in mall I was looking for, charged me and I left. Then, right before leaving mall I saw a FAST FIX -- a 2 minute walk away from this place!!! Why not advise that and be honest about charging me for something I have a warranty for and shouldn't be paying for. I have been a happy customer of Stop & Fix for years! Luis was my go-to person. Unfortunately, I now report as follows: BEWARE! I was quoted a price for the work and I wrote it down. When I returned to proceed with the work, Louis did a switch around and gave me a different price. I pointed to him the price he quoted and showed him my writing. He then honored that price. However, when I returned to pick up the items, he said he forgot to charge me for something. I kindly responded twice that, when a business makes a mistake and gives a customer a quote, they should honor that quote. He told me I wasn't understanding. I told him I understood perfectly well. The end result was that Luis basically threatened me with: When I come back, he would not give me any discounts, thereby making up for his alleged "loss". First of all I would like to say I don't know what happened to this place. I have been going to this place for years and never had a problem. Although I have heard a lot of people complain about their work. I paid no attention to their complaints and went back there to get a gold Bracelet fixed. Now it was a gold bangle that has broken in half. I ask him will it be fix with gold because I did not want to look at black stuff that they seal it with. He assured me he would use only gold material.... that was not the case it was black, and then they broke it in another place trying to fix what was already broken. Now as soon as I got to the car, I put the bracelet on it broke in another place. I did not go back in because I was to upset. I went back about four days later. I told him...I said you told me you were going to use gold to fix my bracelet he told me I don't know what happen or why it is black. Now I am angry because he is talking to me as if I am crazy later, he had the nerve to say to me... I don't like your tone. I said give me a solution to this problem. So, I saw that he was not going to give solution, so I told him to keep the money it was not that serious for me to stand in the mall fighting with this guy. Plus, it was only 54 dollars he charges me. I was told not to deal with this business but because I never had a problem. I did not listen. So, whoever read this be very careful what kind of business you do with this business. Employee harassed me when I went to drop watch off. Kept making comments about my appearance. My tattoos - my hair. Was weirded out but I dropped of the watch and took my receipt. Over a month later (I had forgotten that I even dropped off a watch) a man called me from this establishment. I forgot what stop and fix was, because it had been so long. I answered and a male voice said "hello miss Carly???" It was probably the creepiest thing I have ever heard. I said "yes, who is this?", he said "this is stop and fix we have your watch" . I jokingly replied "oh! I forgot about my watch because it's been so long" the employee said "never mind we don't have your watch!" And then he giggled... I though this was extremely rude and weird so I hung up the phone. He called back and apologized and assured me that his joke had nothing to do with me being female. Yeah, I'm sure he giggles on the phone with male customers all the time. Anyway, I came into get my watch and I complained about the phone call to a different employee, who then made a joke about the price of the watch. I think it's very rude to joke with a customer who is complaining about out of line jokes. From the moment I approached the counter Luis was helpful, attentive, offered exactly the right advice and presented me with options. In spite of the fact it was the height of the holiday season and they were clearly extremely busy, he still took the time with me until I was totally satisfied with what was going to be engraved, how long it would take and the cost. I went to a major jewelry chain and they told me it would be sent out taking two weeks and that I would get a call within a week for a price quote of the labor. I decided to check with Stop & Fix next. The owner told me he needed 45 mins and it would be $28. It took slightly longer than 45 minutes because he also buffed the ring. It was really beautiful and I was impressed with his work. I docked a star because I went to Stop & Fix another time with my sister when they were located on the first floor of the mall. My sister's engagement ring needed to be sized much lower than the ring's original size. A few days later it was done, but later we noticed the diamond seemed loose. My friend and I took two watches to get resized at this store. The lady took the watches and slide the clamp that was on the watch down and resized the band for it to fit. It took her 5 minutes​ at most to do. She charged $20.00 bucks. I could not believe it. She didn't even take any links out of the band she just moved the clamp down and charged $20.00 bucks. I hope the $20.00 was worth it to her because she lost 2 customers for life. If you get work done here make sure to get a written estimate before they do any work. FOLLOW UP TO MY INITIAL REVIEW! Luis was always sweet whenever I was dropping off or picking up a watch, which is probably why HE was the one to call me in regards to my watch. He was truly apologetic about it not being serviced for such a lengthy period of time and didn't try to offer any excuses, he simply admitted that he didn't know why it hadn't been fixed but assured me that it would be and within a week of him telling me that, it WAS! Well finally I took a watch in for repair in March 2018, cost me $50. Within a few hours of picking up my watch the problem resumed. I took it back several weeks later with the date stuck on the date that I picked it up. They took it , said it would be no charge, said probably a defective part they'd replace it with another one. Ok, cool stuff happens. I've been back FOUR TIMES since that day in APRIL and they had not and as of today, July 04, 2018 STILL HAVE NOT EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT FIXING MY WATCH!!!!
