FOLLOW UP TO MY INITIAL REVIEW! Luis was always sweet whenever I was dropping off or picking up a watch, which is probably why HE was the one to call me in regards to my watch. He was truly apologetic about it not being serviced for such a lengthy period of time and didn't try to offer any excuses, he simply admitted that he didn't know why it hadn't been fixed but assured me that it would be and within a week of him telling me that, it WAS! Thanks Luis. I really use to love this place! I've been gohere for years but just for minor things like watch batteries and cleaning. Well finally I took a watch in for repair in March 2018, cost me $50. Within a few hours of picking up my watch the problem resumed. I took it back several weeks later with the date stuck on the date that I picked it up. They took it , said it would be no charge, said probably a defective part they'd replace it with another one. Ok, cool stuff happens. I've been back FOUR TIMES since that day in APRIL and they had not and as of today, July 04, 2018 STILL HAVE NOT EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT FIXING MY WATCH!!!! ITS BEEN SITTING THERE IN THE SAME LITTLE BLUE ENVELOPE THEY PUT IT IN WHEN I TOOK IT BACK!!! THE GUY EVEN TOLD ME THAT ITS BEEN SITTING THERE!!!! I came here to fix my wedding rings as a few of stones fell off. I brought my 2 rings(band and engagement ring) in on Monday and was told that they would make sure to call me by Wednesday to confirm that my rings are available. Well Friday comes around and still no call, so I call them and they confirm that they are fixed and ready to pick up. I drive 45 minutes to come and see that 2 stones are still missing. The store tries to explain that they did not notice the stones because they repaired my rings without wearing glasses so they did not see the missing diamonds. I don't believe that should justify their negligence and no attention to detail. I had to wait an additional 45 minutes for them to repair the additional stones. Upon receiving the rings I noticed that they ruined my ring by adding additional metal to the prongs that are covering the diamond. I am truly disappointed and will not be coming back to this shop. Culver City Mall has many jewelry shops to choose from and I will make sure not to come to this shop again. The fixing quality is also very low grade. read more

The best repair shop out there! They opened a Stop&Fix booth in the Lakewood area, and their service is phenomenal. I broke a pair of glasses and was trying to find shops willing to repair them at a decent price. Eddie and his crew made sure my glasses were repaired as soon as possible, and at a very reasonable price. They also offered a 3-month warranty if anything happened to my glasses. I broke one of the links on my watch and decided to just replace the band, entirely. On my way to the Westfield mall, I noticed that there was a loose piece that was bouncing around on the face of the watch. I took my watch to this place and chose a new leather band to replace my steel one. I asked the lady if she could also fix that loose piece I saw (could have been a motor barrel bridge, but either way this lady no freaking clue), she replied with a confident 'yes'. She told me the price would be $22.99 for the band and $15 to fix the broken piece. I asked her to meet me at $30. She scrunched her faced and declared she would do it for $35- so we met at $35. I left the watch with her and told her I would come back after work to pick it up. HERE IS WHERE THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS I come back to pick up my watch. The lady hands me the watch with the new leather band on it, and tells me she cleaned it up real nice and got rid of some scratches. "Sweet !", I thought. Then I asked her if they found out where that little piece came missing from (assuming it was fixed), then she pauses, picks up my watch and takes a (probably phony) hard look at it, and then said "oh, we couldn't figure that out." "okay", I said. "Where is that piece? Is it in the bag with my old watch band?". The lady picks up the plastic bag with the broken band to look for the piece- it wasn't there. She looked around her work station- it wasn't there. Then she admitted not knowing where the piece went missing. My watch is 'Kinetic Perpetual', so I picked it up and shook it a little bit to test the feeling of the gears. IT FELT BAD. An analogy would be if someone noticed suddenly the feeling of your car lost half it's horsepower. That sucked. "OKAY", I said. "So now it's going to be $20 for the leather band". And I honestly thought that she would understand that I was being more than reasonable for paying for the one thing she got right and not exploding in her face for losing the watch part that I can never retrieve and have fixed at a later time. On came the attitude. "Nu-uh, it's gonna be $35 ... Honestly, I could have not told you about the part and said it was all fixed and you wouldn't have known the difference", she said. I told her, "Well I would hope that you would be honest. I appreciate that. But the bottom line is you didn't fix the broken part and now it's lost. What if I take this watch home and it breaks in 2 weeks? I'm not going to pay you for fixing my watch when you didn't fix it" she then proceeds to accuse me of being an unreasonable bargain hunter, or some crap. "I'm sorry to say, but it's customers like you that make us have to lie about these things. I should have told you it was fixed. You were trying to get the price down in the beginning and now you don't want to pay", she stated. I said, "Excuse me? You have to lie?". She nods to makes it seem like she's a freaking victim. "That's just not good business practice!" i said. some more back and forth and I just come to the conclusion that she is flat out 'iggnant' . $25. She asked me for $25 freaking dollars. I wanted to get the hell out of there asap because this was ruining what was once a great day. I handed her my debit card and kept my eye on her as she entered the payment to ensure she wouldn't steal my card number or some crap. All the while, she was still running her mouth about it and said "and if the watch breaks and you bring it back to us, we are not going to fix it". Took my watch, my card, my receipt, and said "Thank you" this place and it's service is UTTERLY DISGUSTING! This all happened not but an hour before I posted on yelp. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT BRING YOUR WATCH OR JEWELRY HERE, OR DO SO AT YOUR OWN PERIL. ...YOU EFFED UP MY WATCH, LADY! but i'll stay positive. This place is great! The customer service is excellent, everyone was polite and patient when answering all my questions. I Had my diamond ring sized at an affordable price. When I picked it up the ring fit perfectly and was clean and polished nicely. All done with in an hour!! I'm definitely coming back to have some items engraved and polished. read more

I was looking for a new place to get my watch batteries, as I had five watches that needed new batteries, and one that needed a new band. Louis was quick to get up to help me as soon as I walked up. He and Kristen quoted me a great price which included a "volume discount" since I had so many watches. The customer service received from both Louis and Kristen was impressive and very much appreciated. They were both so helpful and my watches were ready within about 30 minutes. I had two pairs of glasses fixed at "Stop and Fix." Both pairs needed arms reattached. I had initially taken the glasses to Target. Target couldn't fix them and gave me a 10% off coupon for Stop and fix. The estimate was $35 a pair. Both pair are prescription glasses. I presented the coupon and the man said that he would not charge me tax. Well, tax is about 10% so I thought it was OK. When I got home I started to think about it. THERE IS NO TAX on services. They cheated me. I plan to return and ask/demand for my refund or I will dispute it on my credit card bill. As a side line, when I got to my car, I put on my sunglasses and the arm fell off. I went back into the mall, to the store waving the broken arm. They said that they would fix it "a different" way. So far it has been a week and they are holding up. One star because a business should NEVER deceive a customer. Update: 10/30/12 I chose not to ask for my refund. So I can't say if they would or would not have refunded the money they cheated me out of. But, I do find it interesting that the post before this post was over a year ago. I bought a new Citizen EcoDrive and went to the mall to see where I could get get the band adjusted. After visiting a few watch places and jewelers that either couldn't do it or charged $12-$15, I found Stop & Fix that would take out the links for $8. After 2 tries, I got the right size. The whole process took about 10 minutes, and I went home with a nice fitting watch and quick friendly service. read more

I would give 0 stars but that's not an option. If you care about anything you're bringing to get repaired, you might as well leave it broken before bringing it to this place. Absolutely horrible, and i mean horrible service, they tell you to come back in an hour and it's still sitting in the same place you left them. Left my Gucci sunglasses with them for what they said would take 1 day, turned into 3 and got them back in much worse condition and are now unfixable! I strongly suggest that you guys try stop and fix. The job that Greg does with the prices that they charge its unbelievable not to mention the customer service. Stop and fix is great they literally fix everything as far watch , jewelry, glasses and sunglasses. Greg has been there for almost 18 years so I'm sure he is doing everything right. A 'Stop & Fix' female employee scratched my brand new watch for battery replacement (I never even got to wear it) and didn't tell me and I didn't speak up about it until I noticed when I got home. She tried to polish it out, but it still looks scratched. She of course took no blame for it. She's a nice lady, but just struggled to open my watch and also handled this situation poorly. This female employee wears headphones while she works. I should have read the reviews about this place before going there because I see another bad review about leaving scratches on their watch because they couldn't open it. read more

First and foremost I would like to say thank you to Stop & Fix for their excellent work & customer service. I first went to have a old bracelet fixed because the locking mechanism broke on it. They not only repaired the lock perfectly, but also cleaned and polished it. My bracelet which was passed down to me by my grandfather looked brand new! I was so impressed I began to take all my watches and jewelry there to be serviced. The staff is super friendly and most importantly honest. Any time I have needed a new watch or band they have always out performed everyone else in the area. I highly recommend Stop & Fix for any jewelry or watches and repairs simply because the staff is very helpful and innovative. After going to several watch repair shops with high bids for swapping bands. I came across this place! They charged 7 dollars to replace a pair of straps on my G-shock. (About five months ago) i remember it was around 8:15pm and the girl was quick to swap the band out. So I went back do to a broken strap pin and two time increment indicators on a Diesel watch that was given to me by my girlfriend so obviously I needed this to be fixed. I was dreading going anywhere because in my mind I thought it would cost an arm and a leg! But it didn't!!! $19 was my total for these two things and I know they had to take it apart. Cheap prices and great workmanship plus friendly staff, couldn't ask for more. They have earned my business!! read more

Even though he was in high demand during the Christmas shopping season, Greg made time to talk with me about the engraving I wanted. He was honest and told me I'd have to wait an hour since my request came at the end of the day, but he was true to his word. Wow, Greg at Stop & Fix is amazing. We had two wedding rings that were absolutely ruined by Alex Jewelry in Westwood. They looked bad. Greg saw that we were distraught and took a lot of time making sure that he understood exactly what we wanted. He also gave us a great deal compared to the other jewelry repair places in the area. In executing our requests, he was flawless. It was clear that he actually put a good deal of thought into the design of the fix. We will be back here for any jewelry repairs we need. read more

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. They are absolutely terrible. I gave them my watch to get its battery changed and they damaged it! She said it would take 5 minutes and she couldn't even open the back in 10. When I realized she was having a hard time opening it I asked her if the watch would be damaged at all and both the ladies confidently said no.. In the end I asked for my watch and left without the new battery but the back and sides were all scratched, the band (metal) was bent, and my watch looked old! SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS DOING AND WAS ON THE PHONE THE WHOLE TIME! Do NOT go there if you care about your items. I regret it so much. I do not recommended this store for ring sizing. Maybe they do good at other stuff but not ring sizing. Visiting California from another state and bought a ring from a popular chain jewelry store that we also have in our state. The ring was too small but for the chain store to size the ring it had to be sent out and shipped back but the salesperson recommended Stop&Fix saying they could do it same today along with giving my boyfriend and I a discount card that would shave a little off the price. Normally I would never trust a "quick fix" kiosk with fine jewelry but seeing as the salesperson from the jewelry store recommended it we trusted it. The service took about 45 minutes and when given the ring back it looked perfect. About 3 hours later one of the gemstones fell out luckily into my hand. We happened to be walking by the chain store where we had thankfully gotten lifetime insurance. They took a look and noticed not only were prongs bent the band itself was slightly warped and cracked. They told me to ask for my money back. That is why I give one star they were prompt to give my $40 back and did a temporary fix but I will have to send it back via the chain store for a new one. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! My watch needed a new battery. This stylish, expensive watch was a wedding gift so I rarely used it except for special occasions. In fact, I only wore it twice in the three years I've owned the watch. I took it to Stop and Fix and asked for a new battery and they gave me a claim tag and told me to come back and pick it up the next day. When i came back, they told me the watch had "other problems" and needed to be repaired. They showed me how the stem was broken (but would not admit that they had caused the damage). The owner, Greg, could see that it was a brand new watch and the damage was obviously their fault so he claimed he would "take care of it." Over six weeks later, my watch is still at Stop and Fix and every time they tell me to come pick it up, it's never ready and nobody seems to know anything about the status of the watch or even where it is located. They keep referring me to this Greg guy who never appears to be there and they will not give me his number or other contact information so that I can make an inquiry. MISINFORMATION, INCOMPETENCE, LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY. TOTAL FAIL. DON'T RISK IT!! read more
