A well managed stop and shop for a change. Regular sized aisle width, plenty of variety, plenty of stock, dedicated magazine, seasonal, cards and sundries. I also noticed they had plenty of check out lanes open, each with a bagger. Staff are available to ask questions and are friendly and professional. I will be bringing my food shopping business here to Greenville from the North Providence stop and shop which had too many issues since they remodeled. read more

Thank god they were open until midnight! After rudely getting thrown out of target at 10pm- I came here to finish my shopping and I'm glad I did- although I'm not sure how I spent $200 on fruits/vegetables - because I had such limited time I only got through the fruit/vegetable section before they announced they were closing- so very bizarre I walked out with 200$ less then when I walked in and only made it through 3 aisles! Jean the cashier was really sweet- although she was clearly frustrated with my antics- because I sprinted to the salad dressing aisle while she was checking me out (I literally think I spent $200 on salads and topping for salads since I'm on a diet and everyone is telling me it's working I thought by picking everything up at a supermarket it would be cheaper- but I thought wrong! This is where I do most of my daily food shopping. I stop in two to three times a week to make sure I keep waste to a minimum. Staff is always friendly, most helpful to me is the seafood department. When I choose something unfamiliar they always have suggestions and recommendations on the best way to cook it. I wish the produce was better. It seems so bland at times, but hey, that's what the farmers market is for. You can often find "managers specials" on meats with yellow discount stickers. read more

Normally I loathe every s&s I step in but this one is decent. It only has a minimal funky smell when you walk in which is rare for an s&s. Also, they modernized the self checkout stations and the stations actually work. turns out conveyor belts at self checkout are pointless and lame. The new renovations remind me of when s&s first came to the area in the early 90s before everyone hated them with a passion. I didn't see the lame robot either. thank goodness! what a waste of money and AI. I will continue to come to this store mostly in secret. read more

I grew up in Glocester so this was the market I would go to as a child. Fast forward many years later and I'm still coming. In my opinion this is one of the cleaner and well kept Stop & Shops in the area. The staff is always helpful and willing to walk throughout the store to help you locate what you are looking for. The self-scan area is fantastic, you don't have to keep every item you scan in the bagging area like other Stop & Shops thus allowing you to scan your entire weekly groceries with ease. Where I am not a fan? The new robot implemented to look for spills or dirt. It's clumsy, in the way and frankly unnecessary. The store was clean enough. read more

Close location to me so makes it easier to go to. The location has a big parking lot even though it is shared there's never a problem with parking. Upon walking into the store it's always so very clean, and presentable. Overall the employees are very sweet and very quick with ringing you out but they always hold a conversation with you. The deals are okay, more on the pricey side but its with it. Stop and shops I always went to and I love this place isn't too far for me that's the big plus. Oh and Benny's and the dollar store are within seconds from this place so makes it more fun to shop everywhere that has deals. read more

This large chain has its plus and minuses. There are always lines. Long lines. Forget going there on a weekend. It's an all day project. Prices are high. Produce wilts before I can eat it. The only great thing this place has going for it is the variety. It's a huge store so if you like variety this is a good option. I do the bulk of my shopping elsewhere but I do use the pharmacy here. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgable. They have an automated system that calls you when your script is filled so you don't have to wait. If You need one filled I'd go here over cvs or any drug store any day. read more

We stopped by this location because they had a super sale for their grand reopening. The store does look phenomenal a Fresh coat of paint new flooring. The produce section feels more like a farm fresh feel where things are in baskets and Tall wood bins. They have a double Isle of all natural and gluten-free now. I feel like the frozen section got smaller, but dairy just about the same. This location has a Dunkin Donuts which is kind of cool. It's got a Fresh Bakery. It's got the deli. It's going to Seafood counter. It's got the meat Chop Shop. So there is a lot that it could offer. However for the rest of the store other than the glorified paint job it really is just another Stop & Shop. read more

Was REFUSED service at deli counter at 8:40pm by "Lori", even though the deli is supposed to be open until 9pm. Lori did not care when I explained to her I needed the deli so I could make sandwiches and freeze them for my 85 year old elderly father, who lives alone, so he would have them available for lunches. She said they had already cleaned the deli machines, and that I had to get from the "Grab and Go" cause they needed to be out by 9pm. Deli is supposed to be open to customers until 9pm, and there was almost nothing to chose from in the Grab and Go area. I had to get the manager, Meghan involved in order to get lunchmeats cut. Meghan said she would take care of me, and lead me back to the deli. I asked Meghan if she would cut it for me because Lori had given me such a hard time, but she said she could not because Deli employees are "Union". Much better than the Stop & Shop at Lincoln Crossing. It is much roomier, cleaner, brighter, and has more selection than Lincoln. Not to mention, there aren't any loud groups of Bryant students here.... I have only been to this location since it has been re-done, but ever since I have been the market has been well kept. The produce section is large, and the quality is above average. The sheer size of this market is pretty big, and they have a good selection of meats. This market picks up remarkably on the weekends before and after noon. Compared to weekend days, it is a zoo. But on the weekdays I have been, it is not crowded and there has been a lot of employees able to lend a hand in helping me find what I need. Some of the reviews have said this location is a bit expensive, but I think overall the prices are at the going rate. read more

What the fuck is up with the customer service here. $300 of food and they can't assist with bagging and the cashier stands around and doesn't assist at all. They whole store should be self checkout. Don't even let me anticipate someone helping me. I should change to Shaw's or somewhere that gives two shits about customer satisfaction. The people at this store are more concerned with union rights then basic customer service. Also the robot that roams the store is creepy and unnecessary. 25 min to clean up a spill isn't practical. read more

It is time to cut the cord to this store. I have been shopping here for several years, 7 years around 1999, moved around 2006, and back in Johnston off brown Ave 4 years ago. The last 6 months, they have gone from ok, just ok, to selling garbage. The produce is is beyond terrible. Most of the stuff on the shelves should be tossed. I just threw away a whole watermelon, 2 avocados, and 1 fugi apple. They were beyond old. I still have the taste of the watermelon in my mouth. I was making lunch for my wife. Almost every section of veggie is limp. Old, terrible stock! It's time to shop Market basket! Stop and Shop has really helped Market Basket take off. Keep selling crap and all of you will be on the street out of a job. And the bathrooms! OMG! They will turn your stomach! I have talked to many of the workers, and most of them say they don't even go in there. I have seen better toilets in Providence gas stations. Usually the produce is to the right and frozen to the left but here its opposite and it's kind of inconvenient. This is a great stop and shop. I believe it's been recently updated and has decent produce as well as a nicely organized natural/crunchy granola section that I love! I love their "natures promise" line because you know everything is made without dyes or fragrances and the price can't be beat., especially for diapers and baby products. This store usually has a customer service person at the front of the aisles making sure everyone is finding what they need and that lines don't get too long. I really appreciate the effort made by this store to have that extra help in the front of the store. We really love that they offer free bananas and clementines for kids at the front of the produce section as do most stop and shops now. It makes for a nice shopping experience read more

Watch your register receipt always have a problem with correct prices ringing up price are wrong sometime. I don't post unless something is really great or really bad. The produce, despite their commercials, is still really bad... To the point that I will not buy their produce unless I have to. Their commercial states that you don't need to check because they already did. More like "don't check it so that we can sell it and make a profit despite it being rotten." They do not check their produce. Aside from this, they restock in the middle of the day on the weekends instead of that morning or the night before. All the time there are unloading carts in the middle of the aisle, but no one actually unloading them (except for the dairy section, they do a good job). Stop and shop, fix the problem. read more

I think prices are higher than most but almost weekly they run out of plastic grocery bags and you have to use paper (which I hate). Too many young folks working with little or no supervision. Instead of paying attention to customers they usually are grouped together talking or on their cell phones. The folks walking around the front area don't seem to address the issue because they will walk by and never say a word. As a previous head cashier of a grocery chain, I know the younger generations are into the electronics but if you have supervision and a regular "to do" list when your not busy and train everyone to assist customers especially when the self check out light is going off but no one even notices. I usually scan my own items so I can get in/out quickly. A while back I had bad experience at customer service with the price of a whole ham. I was told "take it up the guy in the green shirt" pointing towards registers. (this was a middle aged woman). After months of dealing with it I drive to Armando's meat market in Providence and usually shop for all other items at Walmart in Cranston ( i will do a big shopping trip) of all place walmart cashiers are friendly and helpful. Armando's are great too Very Helpful and friendly. I only shop here if I need something quick. read more
