I placed an order online for delivery well before 9am this morning. The earliest option for delivery that I was given was between 3-4pm. At 5:45pm I called the store and was told they were behind schedule and that someone would call me. It is now 7:43pm and I never received a call. I did track the order around 3pm and noted it said my order was on its way. At 5:30pm my stays changed to "order received". At 7:40pm it said "order canceled". I did not cancel my order. They don't seem to be taking calls because I have numerous times, just to be placed on hold and then hung up on. I understand they are busy with the impending blizzard tomorrow, but a simple phone call or text message would have gone a long way. I do not have a car and relied on them to deliver my groceries. Their customer service skills are severely lacking. Now, I want to know when they will refund the money that was immediately taken out of my bank account as soon as the order was placed. As of now, I paid for services NOT RENDERED. Moving forward I will shop at ShopRite. They need to do better!!!! read more

I really like this location. The parking lot is very big and the store never seems super crowded. There is a shoprite down the block that is always a mad house but I prefer coming here because I almost never have to wait in line. They also have a ton of self checkout cash registers which I really like. It deff makes the shopping process quicker and easier to check out on your own. I've never had any complaints with the quality of the fruit, meat or deli counter. Everything has always been fresh and tasty. I've ordered many different cakes and cupcakes from the bakery section and they are always friendly and helpful. If you have a birthday or event coming up, I highly recommend a stop and shop cake or cupcakes. They are always VERY fresh and not overly sweet. I always order from here and our guests are shocked when they hear they are from stop and shop because they do not taste artificial. read more

She was awesome! They store did not have alot of registers open but, they are stocked with items I cannot find in other locations. Which is great and there seasonal selection items was huge! As far as Stop & Shop's go, this one is the best (that I've been to). Been here a few times over the years for a handful of items, but just tonight did a full shopping trip for the first time. Usually, I go to the Yonkers (Cross County) location just for convenience, but I have been getting a little tired of things there so I wanted to branch out a little and find an alternative. This is now my alternative and likely main supermarket - even if it is a little out of my way. This location is huge. I don't understand why the location a mile away in New Roc City is called "Super Stop & Shop" when it's about as standard as any other - this one here is the one that should be called "Super" - because it's not only better, but much larger than it's sister stores. Inside is not only huge, but clean. It's well stocked and I found most of what I was looking for. The staff was generally friendly. Such a combination is very rare to come by these days, but it's there. If I had to nitpick on anything, I noticed that there wasn't as many sale prices on items that I'm used to. Plus when browsing the pre-made heroes, some of the meats looked....blah. But minor complaints really. Inside there is a Starbucks (Yuck), so for those who like that, there you go. The lot is wide and not riddled with shopping carts as other places have. I went around 9pm, so it could also be the time. They have that Scan It system there, so that's always a plus for me. They also have a CoinStar in front. So if you find yourself searching for a good supermarket for your grocery needs, this is a location I would surely recommend. read more

Great place love the girls at the registers one of them I don't know their name the other one is Claire always smiling and polite and fast. You can get a nice salad for under six dollars, cold sandwiches already made or you can have your own made and they also have all different kinds of hot chicken and cold premade food dishes. Great for guys like us in construction who don't want to go to a pricey deli. Also come pick up a couple of pieces of individual fruit. Place is nice and cleaned and organized. read more

Check every expiration date, this store constantly sells expired goods. I have complained to the manager however all they offer to do it exchange the product. I do not like that this store prefers to trick customers into buying expired goods opposed to just replacing them on the shelf. read more

On August 4th I was paying for Rx with my debit card with $40.00 cash back, the transaction apparently was cancelled, attempted again same thing, in the end I charged it on my credit card. Same day/time I was at Starbucks paying for my coffee and attempted to get $40.00 cash back the transaction apparently was cancelled so I again I paid with my credit card. Two days later my bank statement shows 3 transactions, two with $40.00 cash backs. They owe me over $100.00 alltogether. I have been on the phone with Michelle multiple times and apparently they have been working on crediting the money back into my account for the last two weeks. I am still yet to see my money. I was with my mom checking out our items, and I had gotten Starbucks. My drink unfortunately fell off the small ledge near the pin pad. The cash register nicely said don't worry about it, I will get someone to clean it up. The guy Andrew comes over to clean it up, and OMG IT WAS THE END OF THE WORLD! He starts obnoxiously shaking his head and making rude hand gestures. I looked at him like what is your problem, this is your job. Today at around 7:55 a.m., he went to use self checkout since he had been scanning his items in the app. One of the store employees approached him and said he couldn't use self checkout until 8:00 a.m. She then directed him to use the scanners, but the scanners were locked. My brother tried to grab a few more items until 8:00 a.m. He then went to a checkout lane. Down comes running down the stairs, an angry man saying "I will get you next time you low life a-hole." The man proceeds to claim my brother was stealing steaks. He continued to scream at and harass my brother AS he was paying for his groceries. Several store employees laughed. It is very interesting how you do not have a video of the "stealing" all while accusing this while he is paying at checkout. Also where did you learn professionalism and customer service if this is how you approach a customer. Disgusting. Also, he kept yelling "I will get you next time a-hole." my first visit to this stop & shop in new rochelle on palmer ave and its better then the old location near boston post rd which was smaller and had limited parking . very spacious and large outdoor parking , plenty of easy to roam aisles and they have everything you need including a very good organic section , fresh produce , meat, fish , deli , dept, clean bathroom and stop & shop workers who are nice to customers . plenty of weekly sales and the stop& shop brand is just as good as the major name brands. dont forget to use your ss card to save money and grab a whole bake chicken at the deli dept and some fresh bread at the bakery (morning time). i cant visit my local stop&shop without letting the nys lottery machine swallow my paper currency and i cant visit my local stop&shop without grabbing all the free magazines near the customer service area. fast checkout and social distancing and wearing of a mask is required . one of the better stop&shops in the metro area , 4.5 stars on my yelp meter. read more

I didn't start having a problem with this store until recently, but here goes. Tonight I was trying to check out at self-check. Tell me why every DAMN person puts their whole weeks worth of shopping down on these belts, then takes 3 hours to bag it, holding up the line?? It's 12 items people, not 50! No one enforces it so they keep doing it. Next, I tried the self checkout near customer service. Well one lane is closed and the other has some message about too many bags. Of course the people before me walk away leaving this mess, so I'm forced to ask the 5 associates clustered around customer service to help. They look annoyed and help me with a sneer. Stop and Shop is a cut above your normal supermarket. This particular Stop and Shop is the only place I can find the Colombian corn cakes called arepas. They also have the good corn tortillas. The array of specialty products is impressive for a supermarket, the produce aisles are appealing, the meat and deli departments also extensive. My only complaint is the check out time. I often feel they could open more registers, no matter which hour I go. Wide availability of gluten-free products is an offsetting plus, however. Prices are reasonable. read more

I just had a terrible experience at Stop & Shop. My wife returned to work this morning after her maternity leave ended. I took the day off to help things go smoothly on her big day back. I have two 6 month old twins at home and we were out of milk, so I left my mother with the twins and ran to the store and to drop off a paper at the social security office across the street. I was in the social security office for maybe 20 minutes then I did my shopping. When I left the market with a bunch of oranges and a gallon of milk I discovered my car had a boot on it. I was then approached by a crusty older guy who informed me that I had not read the signs and that I couldn't park there and take care of anything else in town. He then said again that I hadn't read the signs, then again, and again. I felt like he was making fun of me or mocking me and holding me hostage. It was terrible. It was a shake down. I'm approached by some strange man who has put a boot on my car and told me that I cannot leave unless I give him $50 cash. I will never shop at this store again. What dirt bags. read more

This store has been my go to supermarket for years. They have been reorganizing the store at a snail's pace and everything is completely disorganized. Tonight, before a storm, they decide to man the deli counter with one employee. After waiting a half hour for my kiosk order I bailed. I will not be going back. Shop Rite is down the road and DeCiccos in Pelham is great. Even Fairway is better. read more

Finally!! This was a very happy grocery grabbing experience. The parking lot is spacious, with ample room and not at all like the thunder dome-esque lot of the sister Yonkers location. First thing inside, I grabbed the scan gun and was quickly received by a staffer who brought me a handful of shopping bags since the kiosk had been emptied. The store was clean and organized. Great selection through all aisles, and I was greeted multiple times by friendly and helpful staff throughout my trip; in the dairy aisle, one staffer reminded me to check my carton to be sure none of the eggs I was buying were cracked (super friendly here!). There was a great variety of produce available and everything I saw looked super healthy and fresh. They have a Starbucks inside also, which is a great idea and is located right off of the produce section. My scan-gun worked great, and the self checkout was a breeze. No lines, no messes, no foolishness. The team here is doing a great job! read more

I am not writing a review of the Stop and Shop on Lispernard Avenue, I am writing a review about the one in New Roc City and there is one thing about this store that has been going on for years and no matter how many complaints people make around the area and phone calls to the main headquarters, Stop N Shop allows their customers to steal the shopping carts, and these customers leave them all over the streets of New Rochelle including laundromats, train station, Main Street and especially Franklin Avenue. If ever you see a cart somewhere, chances are it belongs to the New Roc City Stop and Shop. The one area most common is Franklin Avenue. On one very windy evening, one of the carts started rolling into the middle of the street. That is very dangerous for oncoming cars. Another incident where there were about 15 carts on Franklin Avenue, they sent one the worker out to collect them. It was about 11pm at night. I looked out my window and he had a chain of carts that he was pushing up the street and back to the store. Each time the links to the carts would get undone, they would crash into parked cars. Not sure how much damage the carts made to the parked cars, but I'm sure these vehicles got scratched. Many times there are no carts in the store because of this and when there are carts available, they are always broken. These carts cost money. No wonder the prices of food in Stop and Shop are so high. They have to keep buying new carts. Questions were raised to the headquarters, they said they don't want their employees having confrontations with the customers so they allow them to take the carts out. They also said they can't put up bars outside the store because the parking lot is leased. So many lame excuses. One time I had five carts in front of my house and they stayed there the entire weekend. My phone calls to the store were unsuccessful. From Friday evening until Monday, the carts were in front of my house. Where was I supposed to put them. They weren't picked up until Monday evening. Why is this happening still? This problem has been going on for years. A lot of the neighbors push the carriages onto the street because they can't sweep the front of their houses. Some have no choice but to return them even if they didn't steal them. Should we all get paid by Stop N Shop for this or what? Put us on the payroll then. Sick of seeing these carts all over the place. It's really disgusting. Even the police don't do anything. read more
