This is a great store the only problem is the assistant manger that doesn't know what he is doing.The manager is actually my father he is a great leader of this company.Its not right that his store is getting dragged in the mud because of the assistant manage. read more

We have now been given front row seats to corporate greed. First we are forced by the limited cashier to check ourselves out. The decrease in staffing has not resulted correspondingly in reduced prices. Now they are charging 10 cents for a tissue paper thick bag. Why? The environment ? Nope nothing evidences the use of those funds for that purpose and again prices of the product have not gone down. Most importantly the bag costs Stop & Shop less than 5 cents. Online ordering is absolutely atrocious. Most orders I've placed with them wind up with a number of items that they say aren't in stock. My last order I ordered 36 items and a whopping 19 of them were not in stock. My order was placed about 4 hours before I picked it up and yet the website apparently didn't have an updated stock and let me order them. They made 6 substitutions for the 19 out of stock items, yet 4 of them never made it to my bag. I had to call the store to get a refund for the items I was charged for but didn't receive. They need to do much better. A bad S&S experience is getting worse by the month. Go somewhere else people!! read more

Bakery not worth using. They don't bake like they describe or picture it. Complete disappointment. Graduation cake was embarrassing. Couldn't replace it for something better as we picked it up on Graduation day. We ordered a large strawberry shortcake. It was made very sloppily and they were very skimpy with the strawberries. Loaded with jelly glaze but very few pieces of strawberries. Some areas of cake were not even covered with cream. Not worth $40.99. read more

I almost slipped and fell three times on 2/1/21 because the front entrance to the store was not properly mopped and cared for because of the snow. I am on crutches because of knee surgery. There were also no power scooters for me to use so I could get around the store more comfortably I informed Store Manager Steve Truchetta who did not even apologize for what happened. He had little to know empathy. He said he would "get someone on it". He acted as if I was bothering him. It disgusts me that the store conditions were this unsafe. I will not do business with this location anymore and I will urge my family and friends to follow suit because of my experience. read more

Not the cleanest Stop and Shop by any stretch nor the friendliest Stop and Shop when it comes to staff. You won't have a problem finding what you need since after all it's a supermarket and these stores tend to be the same. I was disappointed though with the cleanliness of this store. Items not in the right spot, garbage on the floor. Speaking of the floor, it looked as if it hasen't been swept or mopped in days. The staff seemed as if they couldn't be bothered. Instead of trying to help find an items they just pointed aimless down the store and said "ask that person there". The individual manning the self-checkout was talking to another employee about what they had plans for that night while our machine required assistance since the bar code was recognized on an item we purchased. It reached the point where I needed to walk up to the two employees as say "I'm sorry but is this job interfering with your conversation?" In sum, we were in a pinch and up in this area of the state. That is the only time I would willingly enter this store. Other than that situation I wouldn't willingly come here until the clean up their act a bit. read more

Website not working for hours on marketing tricks for digital coupons. Just get ride of digital coupons just a waste of my time and a way for the store not to give the discount. Second usually only 1 maybe 2 cash register ever open. Self checkout works poorly. Please go to Walmart and see there system works great. Third union employees are typically rude, unhelpful, and just plain don't want to be there. I see more standing around than help. I asked the meat person where on the shelve a certain product was located and I got a snippy remark I just filled that meat it's on the shelve. i could not find it on the shelve so I just left the store. read more

I have to say don't normally give a rating to this store. But I just went in and was so surprised on much of a dump this has become. Nothing has been restocked, this includes veggies and fruits. It look like you went into the garage and put things on the shelf. The floors looked like they have not seen a mop in awhile . I normally go to the Lincoln store it always looks good. I used to love Stop & Shop. It was my go-to when I decided Walmart lacked the same quality. Since then, especially in this particular location, it has done nothing but go down hill quickly. I now feel Walmart has a MUCH LARGER selection than here. As for produce or meat, I now prefer traveling out of Woonsocket, passing this grocery store which is only 3 minutes away from my home, and going to Shaw's in Providence. The Stop & Shop is Providence is definitely a hell of a lot better than this one if I had to choose one of the three that I've visited often (the third being Bellingham's location). First off, my family and I have favorite foods (like all people do). For example, there are a few breakfast related items in the frozen aisle we often like to purchase. We basically consider ourselves lucky if they are stocked when we shop. Half of the time it'll be sold out. Which means whoever keeps up with inventory isn't doing well. This should be on a day to day basis. Second, the variety for different items is always scarce to none compared to other locations. For example, when my daughter was an infant we would buy flavored baby treats and other infant items in the baby food aisle. I remember specifically having to go to Bellingham every time as they did not have the flavors she wanted. They had one option or flavor only. Bellingham had multiple flavors and options. This is NOT the only time this has happened. Finally, we sometimes use Instacart for delivery as Stop & Shop kindly accepts EBT. So really, it's my only option. I try to keep my items to a minimum and use very easy/common items I know will be there after VARIOUS times of being disappointed in my orders. It's guaranteed you'll be contacted by your delivery person at some point while they are shopping to let you know that the store DOES NOT HAVE what you ordered (false advertising) and you need to either replace it with something different or get a refund. Well, how inconvenient when I am without a car and want to get my ingredients to make lunch or dinner for my family. Extremely disappointing. Always a nuisance. read more

I like this Stop N Shop. It was a Citizens, a Coin Star, a pharmacy, a Red Box, and maybe one or two other additional service things. I'm vegan and try to be gluten free (or at least avoid it as much as possible) and they have a good selection of organic and vegan friendly items. They are usually well-stocked, clean, well lit, and on par with other good Stop N Shops. Definitely not as fancy as ones in really rich parts of the state, but not a dump either. Sometimes their produce is less than fresh, but it's not a consistent problem. They have good sales, and this location offers the scanners and self-checkouts. The staff here are a mixed bag of nice and polite people and rude and stupid workers, but with the scanner and the self-checkout you can really minimize got social experiences at this place. It's convenient from where I work, and the drawbacks don't keep me away when I need to pickup a few items in between weekly shops at Trader Joe's, so I give it 4 stars overall. read more
